i just woke up to 920 gh

reboot failed - 2 power cycles failed to remedy

miner is once not mining

yellow led is blinking 2 times..

UI is unavailable - Myminer.io does not see it

This is an SP20?

My dad is really interested in buying one (which he will force me to get one too) but I don't want to be playing around with it all the time. Just plug it in, input my pool and that's it. Do you think it is a hardware issue or software?
602  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 12, 2014, 07:53:45 PM
True when they called about the fire. I can see in the miner stats that the fire was already 1 hour going. So they where all sleeping ;-).  and stupid me trusted them with all this equipment. That's my big mistake. But again, I can't turn back time. No one hurt and a lesson learned.

Man, you are VERY passive for losing a ton of money and profit. You must be some rich kid playing with mom's money or never earned the money yourself? Usually when you earn money and lose it, it hurts a lot more then when just given to you.

I have patient with your weekend trolling, started after I didn't agree to a deal you requested privately.

I don't have patient for your inappropriate and wicked comments here and before.

Guy

I don't think I used the message system here in months. I think you got the wrong dude, also my comments aren't even near being wicked. I've seen a lot worse.
I was referring to email exchange we had few months ago regarding SP10. I really don't care about your posts as long as they're dealing with hardware ROI, Spondoolies-Tech, etc. Keep posting them.

Your remarks towrads cowboyminer are wicked. Maybe there are worse outside this thread, but it's not an excuse.

Guy

Yea, I get it. But it just gets me pissed when someone puts all that money into something and doesn't do it properly. No fire suppression at all? If it was malicious, yea, I feel bad, but everything still could of been saved if there was fire protection in place. It's like when someone doesn't wear a seatbelt when driving a car and gets into an accident and hurts themselves. Of course I have empathy for that person, but I'm still angry as all hell because they should have been wearing a seatbelt. Ok, back on topic.

I finally saw some large photos of the SP20, looks pretty nice inside, clean and neat. Does that have just one fan? Is it very loud the other SP models? This unit seems to be made for the home, so my dad is asking me about if it is loud or not. Is it tolerable to be in the same room with it and have a phone conversation?

Some SP20 Pr0n

Nice large pictures. When do you think you'll ROI on that?

there are names for people like opentoe - EXTORTIONISTS.
the lowest of the low, when they don't get what they think they deserve (contrary to what they actually deserve in real terms) they begin the bullying attempts and threatening behaviour.

sad to see in a community which was firstly designed to be a collective effort.

PS> no point trying to belittle me opentoe - you've been on ignore for months. carry on.

What the heck does extortion have to do with anything? Show me one post I've been an extortionist and/or displayed threatening behavior towards someone. You won't come up with anything, because there is none.
Do you even know what extortion means? You are saying I'm obtaining something here through force or violence? I think maybe all these lost profits and low BTC price has made people crazy.

The guards where only for the entrances not for inside the buildings. The staff for the computers where sadly sleeping this time. 1 push on the central power station would have stopped the fire. But no one has pushed it. Anyway it's done now. Let's leave it.

Are you poor now, living in the street? You basically lost millions, right? Please let us know after the investigation of the fire how it started. We are all curious.

609  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 07, 2014, 12:42:29 AM
What if he investigates and finds out that the cause of the fire was from one of the mining rigs? I'm sure if you have that much money invested and it all burns down on you there will be a professional investigation on how it started, right?

I'll guess electrical.

Holy sh*t!!  I shed a tear for them.

 Cry
Why?  The insurance payout will be more then they would earn in their lifetime.

If they were all insured. If not, SCREWED.

You guys still into hardware? Been a bust for a while now and doesn't seem like it will keep up. And if anything, when the major US holiday comes around coin will drop again and then be stagnate for quite a while. I'd hate to have a bunch of mining hardware trying to pay for electric bill. Voice of pessimism here.

I've always asked my dad to pool here because he can understand the graphs here easier but this morning with his daily checks noticed he was offline and still is. Several miner reboots and same thing. Any suggestions I can shoot over to him?

Thanks

Not much can be done to help when the only information we have is that the miner isn't mining (which is the case if you're showing offline).  What hardware?  Region?  What does the mining software say?

Oddly it turned out to be the Internet Connection where it is being hosted. Apparently they were having sporadic connection issues where it would affect the mining process.

Thanks

is local pickup an option ?
You would need to pay VAT then  Undecided

The shipping rates are very fair in my opinion, FedEx shipping from Israel to US takes only around 48hours, and for 300$ on a 19kg package, it is provided at cost.

Nobody makes money on shipping nowadays.

The shipping companies make money on shipping.
Fedex and UPS worth are in the billions. Trust me, they are making money.

615  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 20, 2014, 04:58:59 AM
What miner would you order right now SP20 or Sp35? I am past the ROI argument and just want to get a feel for what you guys would do. Electricity I have a lot of 240V now and I just want to pull the trigger so to speak.

Listen, if you buy a miner today you may get a few coins out of it. Why don't you spend less money and just buy some bitcoins outright.

616  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 20, 2014, 04:42:54 AM
* Also: you need to own it, be hashing with it, and have measured the power draw at the wall. No hearsay. I own two SP30s so I know from experience how they perform.

I've got a bunch of SP30.  They are pretty good.  Awesome even.  But, no matter.  They still won't ROI - ever.  They run really well and it is a damn good system.  However difficulty is high, BTC price is low.  The calculus changed and it just doesn't make sense.  I wonder when the .2 W/GHs gear is coming out?  The next gen stuff is going to be interesting.

The question I have is firmware upgrades.  My machines are running perfectly at 4.4T.  Should I upgrade?  What if this fucks things up?  I kind-of like the machines running at full speed without any interruptions.  I don't know if it is such a good idea to upgrade.  Zvi?

Why are you running hardware knowing you'll never make your money back. Are you rich enough that basically giving your money away and losing money everyday is ok for you?

Any testing on the October batch, still on track for 6.5 Thash?

We got the preliminary ASICs results for October batch. We'll meet 5.5 TH/s +- 5% with 3KW at the wall.
This is guaranteed. You'll get a refund in case we won't. You'll enjoy additional hash-rate if it will be better.
We're further tuning the process to get better results for November.

hi!

news for SP35 .. 6 TH/S SHIPPING IN THE SECOND HALF OF NOVEMBER ?

real test? real TH/s ?

5.5 TH/s and 3kw ? or more?

They guarantee it. SP30 owners were compensated as the SP30s didn't meet the advertised performance due to a batch issue with the ASICs. I am happy with the compensation I received, and the SP30s are the best miners in the world right now in terms of hashing speed and J/GH (I believe this is true, someone let me know if there is a better product in the wild*).

I suspect that the SP31 and SP35 will perform as advertised, but it is nice to know Spond backs up their claims with a compensation guarantee.

Could be the best made rig in the world, but nothing you order today, especially pre-order will never get it's money back. You need to buy the hardware at %50 off and throw in free electricity. Then maybe you'll get a few bucks return a year later.

Actually, have yo guys hear story about GT, whom sign a supply contract with Apple, and after their expansion of productivity, Apple negative to offer their contract of purchase, then GT's stock drop from 99 to 1.2usd with in a day.

Lesson learned never prepaid anything too good to be true.

Apple did that so they could buy GT on the cheap. All those new sapphire screens coming down the road.

I'm running my KNC rig at home. I live in the US, New Jersey. Would anyone know what the average cost of electricity is to run this on a monthly basis? It runs at 550-560GH/s and pulls I think around 600 WATTS.

Due to my NDA, I can't tell you all why bitcoin is tanking. Only a few certain people are allowed to know why.
