681  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession? How to face It? on: September 30, 2023, 01:14:56 PM
During a recession it's important to be proactive & make wise financial choices. It’d be smart to start by creating a budget to track your expenses & cut back on non essential items. Look for ways to increase your income such as taking on freelance work or a part time job. Build an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses & prioritise paying off high interest debt. Seek out free or low cost entertainment options, cook at home instead of eating out & explore thrifty shopping alternatives.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ERGO the spiritual successor to Bitcoin? on: September 29, 2023, 12:27:42 PM
There is no successor to bitcoin & no you shouldn’t sell your bitcoin to buy Ergo. Bitcoin is the King, the best performing asset over the last 14 years, to sell to buy some random altcoin would be stupidity. By all means, invest a small amount of fiat into chosen alts but not at the expense of your bitcoin stash. Bitcoin is precious, selling is a bad move because the price has probably bottomed now & will only go up.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next narratives in the next crypto bull market? on: September 29, 2023, 11:23:08 AM
2017 bull run we had ICO’s, in the last bull run we had NFT’s. I think bitcoin spot etf approvals will ignite the next bull market but there will be some lesser known tech or innovation that will be like the ico & nft craze. I suggest it will be something AI related but I don’t know what it will be yet.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: Chase Bank New Policy On Crypto - Users Beware !!! on: September 27, 2023, 10:59:13 AM
Many banks are limiting or outright ruling out buying cryptocurrency via their platform. They cite that it’s to protect investors from fraud & scams but really, it’s likely that they just want to stop the crypto on ramp. They do not want people moving their funds from the bank because it might make the bank insolvent if enough people try to do it. We will see this a lot I think over the next few years. Any bank that tries to control how you spend your hard earned money is not worthy of your business.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 27, 2023, 10:08:48 AM
Getting a degree & being well educated certainly helps to get a good job but it’s not a necessity. If you have a skill or a really good, outgoing personality you can earn just as much, if not more money than somebody is much more intelligent than you. I know lots of people who went to college & ended up being teachers. I didn’t go to college & I am far more financially successful than all of them. Also you are here on bitcointalk.org, you don’t need a degree to buy bitcoin & become wealthy that way.
686  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 27, 2023, 07:50:41 AM
It can be overwhelming but there are ways to manage it. Start by creating a budget to gain clarity on your income and expenses. Look for things that you can cut back on to save money. Maybe prioritise your expenses and pay off debts strategically. It's important to communicate with your creditors if you're struggling to make payments as they may be willing to work out a more manageable plan. Seek support from friends, family or financial advisors who can provide guidance. Try to take care of yourself by finding healthy outlets for stress such as exercise or taking up hobbies.
687  Other / Off-topic / Re: Google is 25 Today - What has been Your Experience ! on: September 27, 2023, 07:44:27 AM
Google has been my default search engine for years, I don’t like to use anything Microsoft offers. There are pros & cons to everything but I just feel like my privacy is probably more compromised with Edge & Bing.
688  Economy / Economics / Re: The volatility in the price of a bitcoin is falling over time, or not. on: September 26, 2023, 08:02:36 PM
As the market matures more participants including institutional investors enter the space bringing stability to the market. Improved regulation & increased adoption of cryptocurrencies contribute to reduced volatility. The development of new financial products & the growing understanding of Bitcoin's fundamentals have also played a role in calming market fluctuations.
689  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 26, 2023, 07:19:00 PM
Many people cycle trade btc.   They buy the dip and hold till they make 4x or better profit.

So if you grabbed coin at 15 or 16 k you may want to sell most of your coins at 69k and up.  Then buy at the next crash.

This is the exact strategy that should be implemented. Most people are just too impatient to wat through the long bear markets to see the green shoots of recovery & subsequent raging bull market. Buy during bear markets, sell some during bull markets, buy back cheaper in the next bear. It’s a simple, yet very effective strategy, it’s just most people are still incapable.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Michael Saylor predicts Bitcoin can go to $5 million? on: September 26, 2023, 07:12:48 PM
$5,000,000 per coin is possible but it likely won’t be this decade. I think if/when we go that high it would be in 2040 or something like that. I don’t know what $5,000,000 will buy you then though, with the rate of inflation & senseless money printing devaluing the $ & ravaging our purchasing power.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 26, 2023, 06:05:18 PM
If my country banned bitcoin & I wasn’t able to buy & sell in my country then I’d have to move to live somewhere else. Bitcoin is such a huge part of my life that living in a country that’s hostile to it just would not be possible for me.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Mining: Thriving towards a $3.95 Billion market by 2028 on: September 26, 2023, 01:39:19 PM
When it becomes clear that bitcoin is the apex predator of assets that will swallow a huge % of the worlds investment liquidity, nations will be falling over themselves to get the largest possible % of hash power. Blackfock already invested in a number of large miners. It will be really interesting to see it play out over the next decade or two.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a code that allows PayPal to freeze your crypto assets. on: September 26, 2023, 01:30:55 PM
Any time you leave your assets in the control of a third party you have a risk of getting funds confiscated or rugged. Self custody is so important, you should be the only person with access to your money (maybe a spouse or descendant also). Crypto history is littered with exchange fraud, hacks, forced KYC etc. Take the risk away & hold your own keys.
694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will The USD (and military) remain a Global force for at least 5 more years? on: September 26, 2023, 01:01:16 PM
The USD and its military are likely to remain a global force for at least the next 5 years. The United States has a strong & stable economy despite its seemingly recent struggles The USD is the world's reserve currency. The US military is the most powerful & technologically advanced in the world. Global dynamics may shift over time, the USD & US military are expected to maintain their influence & significance in the international arena for the foreseeable future.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: marry rich: marry fiat rich or crypto rich, which is better? on: September 26, 2023, 12:57:57 PM
You shouldn’t judge a suitable wife/husband by what type of money they have & their level of wealth. There are some very rich people who are horrible. Marriage should be to somebody you love, who makes you happy to spend your life with them, not for their financial status.
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much ,as you think ,is 1 bitcoin in 2025? on: September 24, 2023, 06:46:14 PM
If we repeat history 2025 will be the top of this current cycle, the next medium to long term ATH. I think we’ll reach between $100,000 & $200,000 during the latter part of 2025.

Plan accordingly.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the SEC approve BTC ETF in the coming 23 days? on: September 24, 2023, 12:45:12 PM
I don’t think we will see a spot etf approved in the next 23 days. I think the final decision on the Blackrock application is Q1 or Q2 of 2024, pretty sure it’s March 2024. I don’t think they will approve another one first before Blackrock. That will be the first, Blackrock have an insanely high % of approval rates for their etf applications so I don’t think the sec will reject Blackrock’s.
698  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Joe Biden Ok on: September 24, 2023, 12:38:08 PM
There should be an age limit on all politicians, congress & President. It’s ridiculous we have people in their 70’s & 80’s shaping the future for younger people with big decisions when they won’t be around to see it. As for Biden he clearly has some sort of dementia or cognitive issues, he is not fit for office.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Simple Reason Why Bitcoin and Crypto Prices Must Fall to Zero on: September 23, 2023, 12:57:09 PM
Absolute nonsense spouted by the OP in all honesty. Bitcoin is going nowhere, governments are consistently showing how inadequate they are at managing nations funds. People are going to separate the money from state, bitcoin is the perfect tool for such a coup. I can’t speak for crypto but separate bitcoin from the nonsense & we will see the future of finance.
700  Other / Off-topic / Re: Surgeons Attached a Pig Kidney to a Man and Worked on: September 23, 2023, 12:49:15 PM
Anything that can save or extend a human life is worth it. Medicine has come on so much now, many surgeons are modern day, real life super heroes. I commend everybody in the medical field who is able to do procedures like this. It’s fascinating what they can do these days.
