741  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 25, 2023, 12:38:14 PM
       -   You, yes, you. Are you tired? Can't make progress? Or every time you move forward, something bad always happens? Are you in a situation where you have to start from scratch again? Where does your problem start? in money? Why do you always have no money? Is it because of your responsibilities for your family or because you just don't have spending discipline? It is important that you know what the root of your problem is? Maybe the reason you are not making progress is because you spend a lot, so every time you have an emergency, you move your savings? Or sometimes you can borrow a cape. How to handle money What is real personal finance? What do you have to do to learn it? There are some things that can help you in this matter, and some of them are:

[a.] Read books related to personal finance.

[b.] Always hang out here on the Bitcointalk forum; you can see and learn a lot from this platform.

[c.] Watch videos that can give you inspiration to become better. And mingle with people who have a positive outlook on life.

For me though, even you have read all the books on how to gain financial freedom and learn a lot from this community, if you fail to execute it then there's nothing that you can do.

So it's just a matter on how you will apply the knowledge and the tips that you have read and learn from youtube videos. For example, how to get out of credit card debts, there are a lot of youtube videos about it and so if you are in this predicament then it's better to follow what's those financial experts are telling so that you can get out of it and be financially motivated in the future and then invest on cryptos.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Airdrop Scam on Trust Wallet via Links on: August 25, 2023, 11:48:26 AM
I am expecting that people behind TrustWallet should be one step ahead of possible scam or intrusion into the secured wallet, otherwise this will make people really scared of using the services of the wallet. At any rate, we should always understand that there is no 100% safe platform in the crypto space as there are so many hackers and fraudsters dedicating their lives just to victimize others and get rich in the process. We should always be careful at all time...and take a time to consider whether an airdrop is really what it says it is or a gateway to hell.

In the real word that should happen, but we all know that it's the other way around, hackers or scammers are always one step of the game here. And it seems that they are really doing a good job at casing and taking advantage of not just trust wallet, but any other crypto related things that they can get their hands and scam people of their hard earn money.

So yeah, the moral lesson here is just be careful and not to trust anyone here in this ecosystem. And everyone should know how to practice security hygiene, otherwise you will fell victim to this criminals.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: August 25, 2023, 11:33:08 AM
Click bait no way he jumps up that high quickly.  Bud would need to get acclimated in that weight class before he starts taking on the top dogs there.  I love buds game and lay in on him almost every fight but I wouldn't bet on him to win that one.  Think this is for publicity.

It's not click back though, there were interviews of Crawford himself saying that he wanted to fight the winner here and become undisputed in 3 weight class. He has been undisputed at 140 lbs, and recently at 147 lbs. So if he can add 168 lbs to his belt, then that is 3x undisputed and I don't think it was ever done before.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/e_LbfDcftd0

And to think that he has been calling out Spence for many years and chasing him to become undisputed, not sure if this is for publicity or what because he has done it and Spence being a 3 belt holder at 147 lbs and then looking amateurish? There is no publicity whatsoever for Crawford here, just saying.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 25, 2023, 10:46:35 AM

Is good to save money for future use so we can make good use of it when ever we need to, now what if you decide to save money in your betting account will that be possible to?
We can decide not to save money in our fiat bank account or any other micro finance bank account for one reason or the other and save it in a licensed gambling sites can that idea be possible, will the money deposited there not be tempered with from the gambling platform or removed automatically from the account after keeping it for a long period of time?
I know it might be very hard to save money in a gambling site because we  might have the feelings of winning if we try to stake, it can be hard for a gambler to save money in a gambling site but it will be easy for a non gambler, I put in mind that everything start one day so even a non gambler can try at the first, I bring this discussion here so we can discuss about it to keep our selfs busy.

Nah, I don't think that is a good idea to save your money in a gambling site and used it as a wallet.

a. not your keys, not your coins, so if you have crypto in gambling sites then it's better to transfer it to a wallet that you have total control
b. you will be tempted to play if you have crypto in your wallet in a gambling site.

So if you wanted to save your money, then withdraw it right away and as I have said, put it to your own wallet.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 25, 2023, 10:22:31 AM
New York Times is reporting a quote from Giannis Antetokounmpo where he alludes to signing with a new team for the first time ever. Definitely trouble for the Bucks. He’s going to play for them this year, but to me it sounds like he’s preparing them for a departure after the season. If he goes to the Warriors and pairs with Curry, it will be the greatest team ever built.

I don't see why he would be leaving the Bucks.  I mean maybe there's internal struggles we haven't heard about, or perhaps things I simply haven't heard about, but lets say he does..greatest team ever? I think that's a bit of a stretch.  Curry is getting old, and although he's still the greatest shooter ever, he's getting old.  Klay isn't the same player he use to be either.

I guess he's still sour with what happened to them from the last 2 playoffs after they won in 2021, after that, the Bucks are going down the slope, and they got upset with the Miami Heat. Giannis reacts too early as he became impatient. He even said that he won't be staying in a team for 20 years and not winning another championship again. So, this is going to be the final chance for Milwaukee in keeping Giannis. Well, it's either they'll give up with him or consistently provide and surround him with good role players.
Giannis is about to take the same path as KD, the only difference is Giannis won 1 with the same team who drafted him, while KD got beaten once and then totally gave up LOL.

Maybe yes, he wanted to put some pressure on the franchise to add some more role players to make the team more competitive.
After that humiliating loss against the Heat.

The rumors might be something that needs to address as early as this season or else Bucks may lose
their main alpha. More on how the management will take care of this rumor and how they'll going
to deal with Giannis.

I don't think that the Bucks needs to be alarm with Giannis statement, maybe some pressure on their side to change something, but that's it. We all know that the first brunt of players is their coaches, so maybe if there will be some changes, it will be the coach that will be fired first before players leaving.

I don't think that they should be humiliated with that lost to the Heat. Miami went on to the finals against the Nuggets, it will be bad if they lost to a team that didn't even reach the finals in the East. And it could be a big lessons for Giannis in that series, and to be fair, he got injured early on that series as well.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If there was an instant transaction coin on: August 24, 2023, 04:28:44 AM
Just a little survey, thanks!

Not really sure what you mean by instant transactions, but maybe you can refer to this table,

https://www.makeuseof.com/bitcoin-is-slow-what-is-the-fastest-cryptocurrency/

However, take note that we are talking about blockchain technology, so everyone should be written first before the transaction can get through and that is the essence of it. Be immutable and so that there will be no questions about the transaction itself.
747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Nvidia's Result bring a positive impact on Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2023, 04:17:15 AM
As others have said, not sure if there is some correlation about Nvidia stocks and latest news to the bitcoin market. Stocks and bitcoin could have had correlations before, but it's moot that we can't say for certain.

For the bounce back to above $26k, I guess it's the biggest support line that's why bulls try to defend it at all cost pushing it at the current price of $26,430. And if we are going to correlate every news to bitcoin whether positive or negative, then for me it's a bad idea as nothing is for certain in this highly volatile assets.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Stay Safe and Avoid Scams When Gambling Online on: August 24, 2023, 03:46:13 AM
I guess you have to do your due diligence, what I meant is that you should also play on casinos that has a reputation here in our community. Similar when you go out and play to land based casinos, there could be some casino that are like 3 or even 2 stars and so you should avoid.

The good thing about our community though is that it is very open, and the moment they see a casinos scamming here, they will be quickly called out and even worst there could be scamming accusations and so they will have a bad rep here and members are going to stay away from that platform for good.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 24, 2023, 03:28:05 AM
unfortunately, there's no live streaming available for this game. It appears to be a closed-door game once again.
Was it for most of the teams that are having tune up games that there's no way to watch a stream? I think there's a definite reason why they're keeping it closed doors so that these practice or tune up games are well protected and kept private in preparation for their actual games soon.

These teams are trying to figure out their playing styles, team chemistry and looking for their bad habits. So they are not exposing their games to the public. Otherwise, the rest of the teams especially their team group mates will have their own staff assessing it and will identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Anyways, just two more days before the official start. I'm looking forward to the opening game between betting favorites Australia against Finland. Looking forward to Lauri Markkanen and his gang pulling an upset against the Aussies who will compete with a lot of NBA players.

Finland is a huge underdog with odds of 5.25 and an Asian Handicap of +9.5. Taking the moneyline odds is quite attractive if you truly believe that an upset could happen here. Although Australia boasts many NBA players, this is a world cup, and every game matters. Chemistry will play a significant role in this match.

Personally, I would consider betting live, as I have a feeling that Finland might be competitive in the early quarters but could falter in the second half. So, I'm considering either -5.5 or the moneyline if the odds are favorable for Australia.

Yeah, make sense to betting live in this tournament, there could be a lot of surprises as we all know that this players are representing their country, so we might discount that odds and maybe we will see some underdogs winning games and if we by chance go and bet on them, we might have a good winnings.

And if Australia has a lot of NBA players, then yeah, I would agree to what @wheelz1200, maybe they could land on a good spot in this tournament. But obviously, US team will be favorite here, but it will not be easy for them to just steam roll others teams even if they are composed of NBA players.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: August 24, 2023, 03:18:42 AM
If it happens two years from now when Canelo is in the twilight of his career then I'll go for Crawford but if this happens in May of next year then no doubt I'll go for Canelo as Crawford is just too small for him, I mean he needs at least 2-3 fight to prove his worth on the 168lbs division. I think he is just calling Canelo as this is a money fight for him of the latter took the bait.

We might want to note that Canelo is younger than Crawford. Canelo is almost 3 years his junior. If this dream fight happens two years from now, Canelo is indeed approaching the twilight of his career. Crawford, on the other hand, is already approaching 40. Age is probably one of the reasons why Spence was running away and delaying his fight against Crawford. That's an off-topic opinion, though.

It would be an amazing moment in boxing's history if this fight takes place, especially if the two remain on a winning streak when the match happens. Crawford will, however, prove his worth in 154 first. If he proves to be effective and natural in this weight, and wins fights, then he could allow his body to continue gaining weight and reach 168. But he shouldn't be confronting Canelo right away. It would be the same process. If he proves that he can handle the weight naturally, without compromising his movements, quick responses, and so on, then he could face Canelo.

As to their physical stats, they're pretty much the same. Crawford has, of course, a longer reach though.

Canelo struggled against Mayweather, who is a good defender and quicker as well. Probably, Crawford sees the weaknesses of Canelo, as although he has power, he can be outboxed, as was evident in the fight against Bivol. The match might be even in the eyes of the fans. Although Crawford is not fighting in his comfortable weight, given his achievements, his undefeated record, and the hype generated when he beat Spence in a one-sided beatdown, all these factors will come into play.

For now, Canelo still has business to take care of. It might be a bit early to discuss, but at least we can have an open discussion about the possibility of this fight happening. I'm sure both camps are eager to make this happen, as it could be the biggest payday for both fighters. Who knows, they might even surpass the PPV revenue generated by Mayweather in his fights.

As fans, it would really satisfy us to see the best fighters in the ring, with no excuses or dodging. They will prove who is the best.

To be fair with Canelo, he as sort of a rookie that time and Mayweather was at his prime that's why Canelo really looks amateurish agains the defensive Floyd that he can't hit him with power punches.

We will see, yes he has Charlo up on his plate, but everyone is giving Charlo a slim chance to beat Canelo Alvarez. And once Alvarez won, we will see if he is willing to fight Crawford or will PBC have him fight another boxer like Benavidez or even Jermall Charlo, the original Charlo that he should have fight.
751  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Current scare affect the decision making of starters. on: August 23, 2023, 12:19:44 PM
Can't blame starters to get scared about the current condition of bitcoin since no one like to see how the market move in negative direction but they should know that there are some ways that can make them avoid losses and that is.

In my opinion this is the few best things that need to consider.

Hodl since the only thing they lose is the $ and not the volume bitcoins still 1:1 ratio so this is best to do.

Decision making is also critical since we need to see each situation will occur and if we rush to decide without even thinking the whole point for sure we can lose our funds on simple mistake.

Fund management if they can able to grab for another funds they can set aside their funds experiencing some down turn and use an extra money to play with the market again and earn.

Proper researching by checking data's and news since this is helpful for us to learn.

Most likely it's going to be a big lessons for them, I mean, if you are a starter or beginner here, you are going to be scared to see the price going down to $25k. However, if you are going to closely analyst it, well it's a good thing that this happen this downturn.

For once, the price is going to be cheap and at a discount, second, as I have said, learning curve here, you are going to ask yourself whether to buy and what you are going to do? yes, you are going to HODL on it. So that is another lessons, you need to be a long term to be able to make money in the next bull run.
752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $25,000 give this time? on: August 23, 2023, 11:25:35 AM
Today price dropped again to around $25k, for those who have plan to earn big profit in next 6 months then now is the right time to buy, many analysts believe that bull run will happen at the end of the year and could set a new ATH record , continue to buy and focus on the goal.

Good advise, but only smart investors knows this. The majority if they see the price going down, panics and sell their stash. On the other hand, those who are in the game for so long know that this seldom happens and so they just buy and scoop up bitcoin from those newbies.

So as much as we don't know to see the price going down, it's better to see it and then just take advantage of that situation as it might never come again. Next year will be one bull run so just imagine if you buy today and then most likely makes x5-x10 in the future and that's how money is made here.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: August 23, 2023, 10:53:10 AM
Quote
A man experiencing cardiac arrest and who later died was slumped over a blackjack table at Wynn Las Vegas for more than 15 minutes while the dealer continued to deal cards to another player, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed this week in District Court. David Jagolinzer, an attorney from Florida, was staying at the Wynn when he suffered a cardiac arrest on April 6, 2022, while playing blackjack on the casino floor. The dealer at his table continued to deal while Jagolinzer was slumped over, according to a complaint filed Thursday.
https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/courts/lawsuit-dealer-continued-to-deal-with-man-slumped-over-during-cardiac-arrest-2731495/

This happened in 2022 and although I do not know the outcome of the court case, my thoughts are that the discussion about casinos should go beyond security measures to cover how prepared they are in the event of a health emergency . I think that well-equipped First Aid Kit and trained paramedical staff could significantly contribute to ensuring the safety and well-being of casino patrons. Although casinos are primarily places where people go for entertainment and profit, the operators should put in place health emergency measures could potentially mitigate the impact of unforeseen events. On the other hand, I would argue that the family of the deceased is trying to obtain money from the casino. Do you think the casino is to be blamed?

Nah, I don't think that the casinos here are to blame, they are in the gambling industry and we really don't know what's going to happen to us next. Maybe you are eating dinner in a fancy restaurant and then suddenly have a heart attack as well.

Just interesting though what will be the and of the person as it could be called a 'dead mans hand', in black jack now.

As in poker legend, this is known to be a dead mans hand,

Have any of you guys heard of this? https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-fines-james-harden-100000-after-calling-sixers-exec-daryl-morey-a-liar-155935434.html
NBA fines James Harden for harsh comments against the Sixers pres of basketball operations and for demanding a public trade. Rumors says the "liar" statement from James Harden against Daryl Morey is based on the trade talks between the Sixers and the Clippers that Harden wanted to be traded to the Clippers but did not materialized. Now, he will be forced to play again with the Sixers in the upcoming season until the Sixers finds a good pieces to trade Harden to a different team. IMO, this is not a good start for the Sixers and the season has not even started yet. This is going to get uglier as long as the Sixers can't find a way how to get a good trade with James Harden asap.
I heard Josh Harris are trying to convince James Harden to stay with the Sixers to try and win a championship, but I don't think it will work with where they are in this situation right now LOL.

Well if there is already a crack in the relationship between Harden and the management, or even like players to players before the start of the season, it could be a bad sign for that team. Remember the case of Jordan Poole and Draymond Green, I believed that this carry on the season until the playoffs wherein Poole was not given enough minutes and the management have to decide whether to trade Poole or retain Green.

So we shall see, if I'm a Sixers fans then I would be concern on what is going from behind even before the start and as you have said, it will be uglier and could be compare to the Ben Simmons nightmare that the Sixers has in the prior years.
755  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Casino in 2023? Share Your Experience! on: August 23, 2023, 08:11:37 AM
Duelbits, Roobet, Stake, Sportsbet.io are amongst the casino that I played in recent years and they become a favorite of mine. But still depends on what the OP is looking for, others looks for the deposit bonus and other perks, and then how much the withdrawal fee is.

Because Sportsbet.io doesn't charge any fee for withdrawal, but there are casinos that charges exorbitant fees. So it depends on what crypto you wanted to play, BTC for example with the whole network congestion in the last or so, might not be good to used as deposits and withdrawals, in my opinion.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling discussion effect on: August 21, 2023, 03:03:03 AM
I’m not a regular gambler before I start participating on gambling discussion here due to campaign requirements. Right now I have urge to gamble everytime I saw someone post here about discussion on profit or winning jackpot. Even a simple discussion about strategy makes me want to gamble because I’m excited to try the strategy that I’m thinking.

Right now, I’m still not frequently gambling because of my work but I do regular gambling once or twice a week even if I don’t do this before just because I’m always exposed to gambling discussion and the thought of it makes me want to try.

What’s the effect of gambling discussion here to you? I’m thinking to quit participating on signature campaign that involves gambling discussion in an event that my gambling activities is increasing above my normal habit.

I gamble before I've been exposed to this community and all about crypto based gambling, so for me, nothing has change as I can talk games like slots and sports betting and others.

But for sure for those who are not exposed to gambling and then promote and signature campaigns that involves it, then sooner or later he will have to learn gambling per se as he needs to discussed in this board and be paid by that campaign. So it's going to be a dilemma here, there could be some that just decided to quit the signature so that they won't gamble or chooses another campaign that doesn't involved it.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 21, 2023, 02:40:12 AM
There is this news circulating in the net today that the 8 world division champion Manny Pacquiao will have an exhibition match against a Thai Boxing Legend Buakaw Banchamek.  It was reveal that the $25m exhibition fights will have a six rounds of boxing and they will be fighting @ 154 lbs.  There is a belt at stake here called WBC Legend Belt and will be given to whomever won the fight.  Though it has not been confirmed whether it will be considered a professional fight or an exhibition fight.

Source

This is interesting knowing there are lots of Pacquiao's fans who will surely support this fight, we know his greatness when he still dominating the ring and now that there's a fight whether an exhibition or a title even it will still be supported by people who love seeing him fighting, though as per my opinion it would be great if that's a title fight that will soon add more challenger to compete with the belt.

Yes, and if you follow Manny's social media, he is like a ambassador or something because he traveled a lot together with Jinky. He was in the fight of Inoue in Japan and a week after in the Crawford vs Spence fight wherein there was a lot of pictures of him with other great boxers like MAB and Erik Morales and others.

and as far as the money goes, it looks like the pot is $25M but not sure if it is will be split two ways or Pacquiao getting the lion share as Buakaw is also a legend in contact sports, but Manny is different as he is the A-side here. But in any case, good to see the Manny will be back in the ring again. For sure his fans are going to love this news.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What micro games is best for you? on: August 21, 2023, 02:25:28 AM
By my definition of micro games, It’s a game that let you bet small amount such as penny that has an option to scale up slowly.

I play slots, mines, dice and live game show. What I really like the most in terms of return is slow games because it can give you a possibility of high return on small bet in random manner unlike dice and mines that you need to setup the difficulty just to have a chance to get that target huge profit.

What micro games works well on your gambling style?

Nice sure if we can define micro games in a casino, but nevertheless there are games that I play online (not crypto based), that I can bet as low as $.0.090-$0.18 (converted to our local fiat already) per number in a roulette in Evolution gaming.

And yeah, you can scale it out, and when I have a winning run I could bet as high as $1-$10 per single number bet then.

Just like dice, this is also very quick game and you can enjoy seeing the numbers that you have bet hitting on the roulette or the revolving wheel.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 21, 2023, 02:13:38 AM
Does he really understand that? He's sad leaving the Warriors and we can see that he's not happy with it.

We seem to have differing interpretations. I believe he's content with the trade, especially considering his inconsistency following the altercation with Draymond Green. His actions possibly indicated a lack of interest in continuing with the team, which might have influenced the management's decision to trade him.

Staying with the Warriors could have subjected him to ongoing criticism. Therefore, being traded to a new environment could be beneficial, allowing him to display his talents and hopefully forge strong bonds with his new team without facing any confrontations so he will not be punch in the face again. Smiley
This is about Jordan Poole, right?
@Distinctin That's right. Actually, the Poole haters are growing after he had a bad inconsistent season last year. The problem is, this ain't new. And I guess the expectation for him had grown after the championship. We saw him breaking his career records one after another and then he had his hot moments that dominates the whole game. After that, there's really nothing explosive anymore.
So even if it's sad to leave the Warriors, that will be the best path or will turn out to be a nemesis of the Warriors fans. This is for the best and who knows if he could grow his career on other teams. Maybe, that will make him more confident and be a pure point guard for another team and not just a shadow of Steph.

And after that incident with Draymond Green pre-season, I speculated that the fans are divided then, between choosing Green or choosing Jordan Poole. And it was obvious that when the game of Poole goes down, specially the turn overs and the attitude in the playoff wherein he said that he was not given time to play, then the his trade might come to play that early.

I guess it will still be the splash brothers in the end, I mean Poole could be a good addition to them, but having 3 players who play almost the same position are not going to work overtime, in my opinion.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 20, 2023, 02:53:32 AM
I’ve been gambling for a long time which make sme experience tons of losses and gains at the same time. On this topic, I listed below the typical scenario whenever I experience loss. I notice this before but I’m ignoring it because I don’t want to believe that it’s really the cause.

Scenario when I lose in gambling
  • Waking up early morning to play gambling without eating any breakfast
  • When someone badgering me behind while I’m playing
  • When I already on adrenaline mode after losing more than 50% of my bankroll and start chasing losses using huge bets.
  • Gambling late night while I feel already sleepy
  • Playing gambling after a recent huge win
  • When I already huge amount while I can’t withdraw my balance due to my pending deposit
  • Chasing small bets lose while I’m already up by huge profit just to close my balance to nearest whole number

I’m still tracking all my human error that keeps me giving a regular losses when I’m on this condition. Do you have something like this?

Yeah, definitely agree with you here, and sometimes I still continue to gamble even I'm already up and have profited already. Not sure what I'm chasing or whatnot, but when the game that I played suddenly went into maintenance and my bets didn't get it, I just realized it and then simply stop.

And there are also days that I'm going to wake up in the morning coming from a lost and say to myself that I have to go back into gambling that early and win some or at least recoup what I have lost the previous night.
