741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeFi projects next on SEC's watchlist? on: July 27, 2020, 09:49:13 PM
defi is decentralize and teams are unknown. i don't think they can actually find these defi teams. their code is pretty solid since its just seed funding. in the defi protocol as far as i know its like staking your assets. i'm not sure how SEC could interfere to these projects since its governed by the protocols not by the team.

What are you talking about here? If you look at Aave's website you will see in their about page the names of their high ranking employees working for them from their CEO, COO until their Software Engineers. Even if they are a decentralized finance company it doesn't mean that their team should be anonymous too since if they are they will just be making their operations illegal as they won't have the right to become a legally operating company. The issue really here is if SEC will be bothered by the fact that people can give and receive loans without some kind of authority within them which as of right now is something that can be alarming to them ones it will become popular.
742  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A trap of how newbies get scammed on: July 27, 2020, 09:01:15 PM
Bottomline is if anyone is offering up "FREE" cryptocurrencies but it requires you to make some kind of deposit before you receive that amount for "verification" purposes or for any reason this is most likely a scam. Why? Because there advertisement of "free" already is fake as it requires you to do some kind of risk in depositing your own money so that you can receive it but don't be fooled you won't receive anything and all there after is just your money. Investments like this really don't exist and no sane company will be giving up free money just for you registering/joining their service.
743  Economy / Economics / Re: This is a total nightmare on: July 27, 2020, 04:05:54 PM
From what I have seen and from what I have said in relation to this I think that the tech or digital related business is the one who will survive this rather than the businesses who need their products to be sold physically since tech related business not need too operate in an office where people need to be together, their industry is a perfect one for be working at home. So I'm really curious why are you taking a hit when I don't see most of the companies in the tech industry being affected that much. Is it in your customer or what kind of business do you have?
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2020, 03:20:41 PM
Transfer Market rumours:
Bartomeu has told Mundo Deportivo that Barcelona were in talks with Inter over Lautaro Martinez. There appear to be disagreements in these negotiations.

This is a rumor at best and I don't think this will gain any traction especially when Inter has a strong chance of losing Mauro Icardi to PSG. If they won't be taking care of Lautaro then they will be losing 2 strikers instead of one. And based from the recent news and statements I am seeing about Lautaro I can say that he really likes playing for Inter and it will really depend on Barcelona on how much money they are willing to spend on him since players like Martinez won't have any chance to become a bargain deal.
745  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: is it difficult to get a partner in cryptocurrency deals? on: July 27, 2020, 02:22:18 PM
It will always depend on how you pitch/market your project to any prospective clients. It's like shark tank where even if these people with money don't have any interest in the project at first but everything can change when the project devs/founders will explain what their project is and more importantly how much they can earn from it. Aside from your pitch you should also check for the legality of cryptocurrencies in the country you are proposing it and see if they have any kind of attractive law for their crypto industry. It just means more bucks for the investors if you say these country has this benefit if you started to operate there.

I See 3x this messages today

Too fast / overloaded (503)

Most likely, you are accessing the forum too quickly. You are only allowed to access at a rate of one pageload per second on average (somewhat higher bursts).

It is also possible that the server is overloaded or temporarily down.

I just want to opening post/thread and happened, any one know what this mean?

Why do you need to open so many pages so quickly ? Just use the forum like a forum only  Wink
It will just put the load on bitcointalk and this message /error is to prevent the DDos attack.

I don't think that's the case, I tried clicking the first link I see every time the page loads and nothing happens as well as opening the links to the new tab and still I don't see any kind of error. It looks like it has something to do with multiple accounts or an IP address being shared by other Bitcointalk users which is the consensus answer for the ones experiencing it.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The whole IP thing on: July 27, 2020, 12:08:44 PM
But as having Bitcoin wallets now you won't need to go through this kind of process and sending transactions is simple as copying and pasting or scanning the qr code of the address for you to send your payment. In other words having your own address is much better compared to having IP based transactions.

you are only thinking of "making purchases" where you go to a shop and copy the address they give you and make a payment. but what about sending money peer to peer?
lets say i wanted to send you money, i would have to contact you on another (centralized) platform like bitcointalk, twitter,... and ask for your address in which case the address would also be known to and stored by those platforms, hence 0 privacy. but if i knew your IP address i could simply contact your node in a 100% P2P manner and receive a new address and make my payment with a very good level of privacy.
as i pointed out above the security could be increased easily by incorporating web of trust concept into full node clients.

Wait but I thought the whole point of the IP thing being scratch out is because of the man in the middle attack because it doesn't provide any kind of authentication for your IP address? At least if we used our addresses we will have the chance to sign and verify the messages proving their ownership of that address. I don't even see any kind of bad thing on providing your public address because as long as you don't use it on any kind of illicit activity it will just by another one of those addresses that is seen in the web.
748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Competitive price analysis!! on: July 26, 2020, 11:47:57 PM
They tried to make their technical analysis as complicated as possible and I don't know why they did that. For example if you read the part of Bitcoin, instead of using just the volume they instead used RSI to explain why there is no bullish movement happeninh. Simply showing the volume can explain why the breakout is failing. It's the basics of TA price increasing together with volume decreasing or no movement is equal as the breakout not being strong enough. Maybe author of the article is just trying to be some kin of pro for the newbies or something.
749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The whole IP thing on: July 26, 2020, 10:43:18 PM
Reading the link of what TryNinja mentioned I think that aside from the MITM attack clearly happening address transactions with a wallet are more practical compared to the proposed IP transactions that Bitcoin was supposed to have in its early years. With IP transactions the client/sender needs to contact the IP address first and then relay messages to the server before it generates a public key. But as having Bitcoin wallets now you won't need to go through this kind of process and sending transactions is simple as copying and pasting or scanning the qr code of the address for you to send your payment. In other words having your own address is much better compared to having IP based transactions.
750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current scenario of Bitcoin Dominance on: July 26, 2020, 08:48:43 PM
If you notice for the past couple of months you will see that even if Bitcoin's dominance in the market is increasing relatively in the charts you will still see most of the top cap cryptocurrencies also going up relatively on where Bitcoin is moving. So really the ones who are affected by Bitcoin slowly taking up the market share in the crypto market are altcoins who have relatively low market cap and I think this was inevitable to happen when Bitcoin was the first one to recover in the crypto market after the FUD that happened in March because of the pandemic, these just made it a lot easier for hodlers to liquidate their portfolio from having alts to top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin as it is a fast mover in the market.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Extstock scam or legit? on: July 26, 2020, 07:14:57 PM
I'm still wondering why people are still joining less popular or even unknown crypto exchanges in the web when they always have the choice to trade in reputable ones. It's like inviting yourselves to a scam waiting to happen. It's really not worth your money to try out new exchanges first since you know that there is a lot of history on less reputable exchanges locking out accounts or freezing their money for unknowing reasons. Also did their support contacted you already? If so what was the reason they prohibited your account from withdrawing?
752  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia Temporarily Drops Plans to Criminalize Bitcoin on: July 26, 2020, 06:27:35 PM
Even their official news is not showing any kind of final decision on what the Russian government wants to do with their crypto industry. This is just evidence that they actually don't know where they really want to head with their regulations on crypto or if they really want crypto in their country. So you can't really make this as an official news since they are still not sure if they want to have a crypto industry. They are just like India in a sense that they see the bad side of crypto from the anonymity standpoint and they don't want to take care of any AML standards or KYC procedures just to simply solve their problem.
753  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of loin share -newbies- on: July 25, 2020, 08:28:41 PM
This investment scheme got tagged by the Philippine SEC on this month where they warned everyone that the company is illegally promoting a investment scheme because they are a unregistered and unlicensed company in the Philippines. FORSAGE particularly is actually growing due to them having local recruiters in countries so they are both in the internet as well as physically that's why a lot of people can be fooled by them if countries like the Philippines won't warn the public against them.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 24, 2020, 08:06:26 PM
It looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves has been made available for sale by their owner Glen Taylor. There have been rumors that there is a chance that the team might relocate to Seattle if some suitors will be interested buying it but the current owner of the Timberwolves had made it clear that his only condition was to make the Timberwolves stay at Minnesota so the only clear options named right now is either the Wilf brothers or their former player, Kevin Garnett. The former one might be the likely candidate for the takeover as they are also the owners of the Minnesota Vikings which might make Taylor be confident that the team will really stay in the state.

Though the owner has this plan selling his franchise the good thing is he still  wanted to make sure that the team will stay at Minnesota,

This will be interesting if KG will buy it, He start his career there and even there's a gap between him and Glen Taylor  if he pursue

acquiring this team maybe there's changes for the future of this team, Let's see how things will turned regarding to this news.

The timing is bad, was it because of the pandemic, even an NBA team struggle so they are selling the team. I read somewhere that an average cost of a team in the NBA was around $4 billion USD, I think Kevin net worth is not that big, unless they'll buy it as a corporation or with other investors.

Glen Taylor is a billionaire native to Minnesota and I haven't seen any news about him financially struggling since he have accepted 2 max contracts in his team considering that the Timberwolves is a small market team. I think him selling it is mostly about his age since he is almost 80 years old and the truth is Glen Taylor based on what KG has said has really no determination to bring the Timberwolves as a championship contender team so if he really loves Minnesota I think this is his win-win situation on giving someone with passion and determination on leading the Wolves to some more wins.

But the fact that someone is collecting it up is against the will of a bounty hunter

Exactly...

The spreadsheet file/link is publicly made available for everyone to see at least so I doubt that there is really something to complain about even if you know someone can make a copy of it since it is publicly made available. Plus the information collected from this users aren't really that alarming since there are no real names involved and no personal date given. Someone might have collected a list of bounty hunters in the forum as this might be their way of seeing their target market for an upcoming project.

If you are more into audio and video type of learning I think taking up online courses which some of them are free is the best way to go. They provide an alternative way of learning and sometimes even interactive as it is mostly similar to a classroom type of education. There is no downside from this as the only thing I can think of is you being comfortable of what kind of medium is the best for you to learn as it will really vary person to person.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal and Mastercard are very close to integrate crypto’s payments!!! on: July 22, 2020, 12:52:19 PM
If this is true then really it would start a ripple effect in the big billion dollar companies out there to be inside the crypto industry and I'm glad that it's finally happening that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are finally catching up to the blockchain technology whom the companies have noticed and exploited now a big company like Paypal has set in and I think not only big companies will enter the market but also make mass adoption a little bit realistic for us.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Token - All Lives Matter on: July 22, 2020, 08:18:38 AM
I think you should scrap this idea overall or at least change the "All Lives Matter" name as this will create a inevitable backlash from people who are affected. The statement all lives matter is something very offensive for people who are part of the minority or the ones being oppressed in the community as simply you are just denying the current situation they are facing which is inequality. Just change the name of your crypto to something relevant and not offensive for the ones who are affected by racism as they'll get really offended by your crypto.
760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Living with parents again could fuel the next Bitcoin bull run. on: July 22, 2020, 07:47:49 AM
~snip

It seems nobody watched the youtube video in the OP. Its a millionaire who lives with his parents, granted he moved back in with them after a divorce and because he works from home rather than due the pandemic. Im on some real estate /other  message boards and its common trend of people moving back in with their parents. The stereotype of someone living with their parents being broke is false, the same as someone driving a new BMW vs old toyota corolla. One is broke because they spent all their money on the BMW, but everyone makes the assumption they are rich.

Bottom line: living with parents is frugal. Frugal people save up their money.  If you ever watched a youtube video on gold, they target savers, because savers are sitting on a pile of cash that could be destroyed by inflation. Gold and Bitcoin are in the same group and we see gold moving to new highs.

Look this should have been the body of your post in the first place but rather you created a body about living with parents can fuel up the next bull run which I don't see any kind of connection whatsoever on the current situation we have with the pandemic and the downfall of our economy. So the next time you create a post you should be direct to the point and not mislead most of the readers here.
