741  Economy / Economics / Re: Rules of Taxes on: March 17, 2023, 01:49:47 PM
Tax regulations throughout the world are certainly different and in my country income tax is annoying, those who do not have large income but work are obliged to report wealth, in my opinion this is not effective and wasted time, income tax is indeed easy to apply for them Those who have large income or government employees, while private workers certainly do not need to report because they do not get facilities from the state.

This is the first time I heard of this kind of tax regulation. I believe it would be more efficient if territories would consider the ability to pay of the tax payers wherein those who earn more should pay more. That's why there is progressive tax rate where rate increases variably with income. With regards to the use of facilities from the state, it is not limited to buildings or infrastructure, I think everyone benefits with the where the taxes used, if used properly, so it is right that everyone should contribute through paying appropriate tax.
742  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: March 17, 2023, 01:38:34 PM
Gold will keep on increasing its value in the long run because of the history that it has built in the past years that lead people to desire holding gold. Just the basic demand and supply concept, everytime the demand for gold increases, the price increases since its supply is relatively scarce.

Gold is a very good investment, safe and can last until this world ends, we don't know whether Bitcoin can still last 20 years or not, but Gold has been used since thousands of years ago, because it has a physical form of course anyone will quickly know and Receiving gold, the increase that occurs is also more stable which is usually also influenced by inflation, the higher the inflation, the increase that occurs is also high.
Exactly why gold will keep on increasing its value. Because people think that it is a good investment, where in fact it is, and it increases the demand. In terms of inflation, when the value of money decreases, most people start to invest in gold as if they are preserving money. Gold actually act as preferred hedge because it is not affected by devaluation of money.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 17, 2023, 01:15:11 PM
Physical gambling is more fun where you are able to see the emotions and actions of the people around you and use it at your advantage. But I think what you've listed above are more like just games where you take risks, not gambling where you bet money.

The above gambling you're listed above is PVP games and sports, not a physical gambling where you're playing poke with a dealer, play slot machine and any other games where you're played on the physical casino.

Internet gambling or online gambling is more secure and avoiding drama due to friend, it's better for solo player who doesn't have any friend or don't want to let his friend know if he's a gambler.
Yeah online gambling allows people to play bet on games while hiding their identities. I think it has an edge for people who prefer the convenience of not going to casinos and who wants to deposit and withdraw money easily.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will this Statement alone be enough to Prove my Gambling Loses for Tax Deduction on: March 17, 2023, 11:47:41 AM
Generally, yes, you'll be able to  deduct your gambling losses but only to the extent of your winnings and you have to file your taxable income in order to do it. Anyone who files their income tax return faithfully has the right for this deduction.

Either way, it depends on the country, but you shouldn't be taxed if you are not gaining.
I agree. Every territory has their own tax rates when it comes to winnings. In our country, winnings are fully taxable and subject to 20% final tax in excess of 10,000. But for other countries, if you really do want to get the privilege of claiming itemized deductions in your taxes, better to report your income rightfully as well and keep your winnings history with you. Also consider that there are some policies where foreigners are not allowed to deduct their losses in their taxable income.

Which country are you talking about? I don't know about such gambling tax deduction in the US tax system.
The tax system in my country has imposed a 15% income tax on all registered gambling businesses(in addition to the 10% corporate profit tax). There isn't any tax deduction for gambling loss in my country, AFAIK. Having such tax deduction seems immoral and ridiculous. The gamblers would be incentivized to gamble more, because their loss will be deducted from their taxes. I don't know about any country in the world, whose tax system stimulates the gamblers to gamble more. Sad
I want to ask the same because I have never heard of this in my entire life. Just now.
Maybe countries who really look deeper at their countrymen's taxes will do this but not in our country. I have a feeling though that maybe the rich people are being surveilled by this kind of activity so that there will be proof if ever they want to add it to their tax exemption records.
I've heard about institutions like charities that will help cut some of the individual tax but in terms of gambling, this is new to me. I thought that when you gamble you just risk your money, you lose, and voila no one cares. Cheesy
Rich people, especially businessmen, take advantage of these kinds of tax laws. In order to reduce the tax that they have to pay, most of the time they report part of their income and claim any deductions that they have the right to. They usually hire people who can legally help them with their taxes and do tax avoidance.
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is Bitcoin's 14th birthday on: January 05, 2023, 09:55:06 AM
Belated happy birthday to the pioneer of the revolution in finances, I hope that we will see good days this year and in the near future, the prices right now signals us to buy and accumulate as much as we can.
746  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 20, 2022, 04:10:00 PM
I don't think it's right to say it's a thing or not right now but given how poorly they handle their project and the PR behind it, Metaverse will continue to end as a failure. Maybe if they make it more crypto friendly and take it away from Mark's hands partially if not entirely, maybe they can probably salvage the project. They're also building it during the crypto winter so it's no surprise that they're not getting that much attraction.
747  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: October 08, 2022, 01:17:41 PM
For me, it's effective if I treat my WFH set up like a normal day at the office, you work at the designated hours but make sure that you mix your fun while you are working, there are things that you can probably do while working at home. I've seen my friends play CS:GO and Valorant while doing their tasks so I think that it's the optimum albeit most distracting.
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 07, 2022, 08:06:56 AM
It's happening, soon these words will be in more places. Little things like this are comforting. Starting with a small place at the end, countries accept BTC and cryptocurrency
Indira's words are a bit strong though, I like that it's a bit risque but hey, we are crypto enthusiasts and we eat risk for breakfast. That's how things or trends starts, from scratch. People resist change so you have to take them little by little if you want to make sure that your foothold is strong. Some still resist the future but we have to be there to know what's going to happen next.
749  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa with so much endowed natural resources but remains the poorest. Solutions on: October 03, 2022, 09:51:25 AM
Can you really blame them? I mean the colonial powers that rape and plundered them left them with almost nothing, the natural resources sure are rife but given how they still have some of the poorest means that there's something that happened so wrong a long the way, maybe it's the colonist or maybe it's the people themselves, I mean there's a lot of countries suffering from corruption of their political leaders so that's another factor.
750  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of new SCAM on google play! SoBit: Bitcoin wallet on: October 01, 2022, 07:19:39 AM
The reason why it's at the top is because the scammer that's operating this website is paying a lot of money to be on the front page of Google, it's smart that it put itself on second so it looks less suspicious. You did something wrong with your background check on the website too, you checked for the 5 star rating when what really matters are those at the lowest ratings, they tell stories there that you might or might not encounter.
751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin on: October 01, 2022, 06:37:28 AM
Depends on the set up that you got, some mining rigs aren't profitable enough to be used for mining especially with factoring electricity costs, the profit might not be that much to be worth your time. Consider the weather, electricity and the price of equipments in your country before getting into mining because you might have a problem if you don't do it but hey if you have the money to be able cover the cost and you know you can profit big out of it then go for it.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost phone with bitcoin wallet on: April 25, 2021, 10:39:57 PM
IF you haven't backed it up in any way whatsoever, then I would like to break the bad news, whoever has got your phone, if he's smart enough as to not reformat or reset it, will be able to get a hold of your hard-earned bitcoins, otherwise if he's a regular dime-a-dozen guy who picks a phone up, reformats it, and then resells it, then those coins are gone forever with no way of gaining access.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: April 25, 2021, 10:22:38 PM
The gambling concept that the devs used is novel indeed, but until they increase their payment channels, there will be a huge bottleneck from the people who do not have ETH on their wallet, or simply those who do not want to pay the horrendously high fees just to bet. I know it will be very hard to implement such a thing at a very small span of time, but if the project is this good, money shouldn't be a problem.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: April 21, 2021, 11:23:25 PM
As usual, people are FOMOing and FUDding because of the current dip in price. As if we're not used to this type of stuff every time bitcoin dips in value. Just let the weak hands sell their money, and then let's laugh at them once the price starts to recover and they FOMO their way into bitcoin once again. The story never ends, that's just how they roll every single time.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is that it could take again many years to recover on: April 21, 2021, 11:21:07 PM
Doesn't matter. The fact that we can expect an ATH, is good news in itself. The ones that see the long wait as a problem are the people who sees bitcoin as nothing but a get-rich-quickly scheme which it certainly isn't. You'd have to invest both your time and money here if you want good gains. Otherwise if you're just looking for another scheme that promises you profits and then pulls a 360 on you then I'll gladly show you the way out.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Illuminatis on: April 21, 2021, 11:16:00 PM
There's no way we can tell if these guys are involved into any secret societies/organizations, which they probably are anyway. Then again, we're seeing more and more people seeing the importance of bitcoin, sad to see the richest 1% of the society and corporations have their eyes too and have been investing. Let's just hope and pray that bitcoin doesn't become another brooding ground for capitalists and classists that will severely abuse the working class, or that they don't pump and dump their investments.
757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Game over to Bitcoin Time to sell all on: April 21, 2021, 11:10:04 PM
Yes it's continuously dipping, yes we might have entered the bear market at this point, but should we start selling our holdings? I think not. If you have weak hands, then by all mean sell it, but keep in mind that bitcoin had already been in this situation countless times and have always triumphed at the end, so you might want to rethink and decide if you really want to sell all of your holdings or not.
758  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it supposed to be alt coin season after bitcoin falls? on: April 21, 2021, 10:51:35 PM
People have correlated dips in bitcoin's value to altcoin season, when what might have happened is just pure coincidence backed with a couple of propaganda. Truth be told, it doesn't make sense for Altcoins to follow suit after bitcoin has dumped in value, unless these people who sold their bitcoins reinvested their money on other cryptocurrencies which doesn't make sense because bitcoin offers better growth opportunities than any coin in the market, at least when we talk about long-term growth.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: Raising the stock market after Covid-19 on: April 21, 2021, 10:47:25 PM
A lot of people are already catching wind of this upheaval and are already investing their money back on potentially valuable stocks, some even as early as December last year. We can say that the COVID pandemic did a number on the stock market that it took a couple of months for recovery to even begin, but the important thing about this is the fact that we are recovering, so for the people out there, buy some stocks and bonds, diversify your assets and help the current economy grow while the cryptocurrency industry is biding its time.
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: April 21, 2021, 10:20:40 PM
NFT offers a lot of opportunities especially to the gambling industry. Imagine a new form of gambling where you use avatars that are powered by NFT, which could help decide how much you can earn per win, or just plain simple rewards given in the form of NFT cards, wouldn't that be cool? This is just the surface of what NFT could really provide for gambling, and of course as time goes by people will find novel and innovative ways to integrate NFT into their gambling system.
