781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: December 13, 2017, 12:39:02 PM
Just a question for you guys, what are you more excited for Christmas or the news that SONM is about to give on Chrismas.

To be honest, Im way more excited for the SONM surprise. As I've become so old that I dont receive much gifts anymore for christmas it has somehow lost the old spirit a bit. But to be frank: who needs christmas gifts when you are invested in the crypto market that is going crazy right before christmas? To be here now, is the best christmas gift that I could have made to myself.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: December 13, 2017, 12:36:44 PM
Dash is going crazy! I really didnt think that we would see the $1000 mark before the end of this year, but the market proves me wrong again. I know we arent there yet, but Im kind of certain that we will reach the $1000 within the next days. Crypto markets are out of control! Good for us hodlers.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta - Decentralized Token Exchange on: December 13, 2017, 12:32:40 PM
Well, it is completely unusable now. Submitted orders never appear in the order list.

I stopped using it too for now. I will wait for the dust to settle before I send any tokens around in EtherDelta. Seems that we are forced to use centralized exchanges again for the time being.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OMG what happend with Litecoin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: December 13, 2017, 12:10:55 PM
Litecoin is solid, and people finally recognize it. With more new money streaming into Cryptocurrencies, Litecoin will surely be one of the winners. Glas that I hold on to my LTC since $30. Unfortunately I didnt buy more at that time. I was scared when it rose to $60. Silly me.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: December 13, 2017, 12:07:29 PM
Well, I definitely have not expected Ardor to grow to $1 before mainnet launch, but I cant hide that this made me really happy to see!

Turned out, that Ardor was one of my best investments this year, really nice christmas gift! Looking forward to the mainnet launch, 2018 will be Ardors year!
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: December 13, 2017, 11:54:08 AM
which state backing are u referring to?

As far as I know POWR is backed by the australian government. I didnt find any source on it though, only know this from reading this thread. Its possible that I didnt research enough though.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: December 13, 2017, 11:52:45 AM
Once the team launches the main-net for the aeternity the price of the tokens will sky-rocket or at least get x2.

My guess is that we will see x2 way before mainnet launch. I expect that there will be a bull run on altcoins starting after this month and am sure that Aeternity wont be left out. There sure are many people eyeing on it and just waiting for the BTC forks to happen so that they can enter AE.

You mean the upcoming Super Bitcoin hard fork?

With so many hard fork coming up our way I am afraid that alts price will go down again.

https://twitter.com/cnLedger/status/939446816805761024

Upcoming forks will only increase the price of BTC and the value of these will be next to useless.People plan this for pure greed and dump it for free money.

Totally agree, they do this only out of pure greed. But to be honest, all those forks will be worthless. They think that every other fork can be valued as high as Bitcoin cash was, but this is not going to happen.
788  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Litecoin forces Ethereum out of bed. on: December 13, 2017, 02:03:52 AM
Litecoin has been very impressive recently. It rose from $100 few days ago to currently trading at about $300.  Seems like Ethereum got freak out and moved up a bit. It probably knew that sitting on the old price will  attract suspicion and get investors mad. . I kind of think Ethereum should be trading $700—$3000 by now.

Agreed that Litecoin has had an insane rally withing the last 36 hours or so. I knew that Litecoin would grow, but to be honest I didnt expect it this fast and this much. As Im pessimistic when such sharp rises happen, I sense that there is a correction around the corner. Many people that held LTC for several months willl want to take profits now.
As for Ethereum, I also think that it should trade higher by now, not at $3000, but definitely four figures. But we should not forget that ETH already gained a lot of value troughout this year. I can see Ethereum reachin the $1000 mark by the end of january. Time will tell!
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many Coin is going to ICO ? What is going on ? on: December 13, 2017, 01:59:50 AM
The model of ICO's took of this year. People realized how easy it is to raise enormous (if not ignorant) sums of money through this crowdfunding model. The ethereum blockchain accelerated this growth a lot. Everyone without much technical knowledge can set up an ERC20 token and start an ICO by copying the process from succesful ones.

The problem is though that among the few legit ICO's with a good, useful idea, there are so many ICO's that are eighter not good ideas, have no use for the blockchain at all, or are blatant scams. Be very careful when investing in ICO's. Always do a lot of due dilligence!
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: December 13, 2017, 01:54:47 AM
Guys, need your help. I have some nxt on poloniex, is it ok to hold it their? Will i get automatically ignis? Missed some btg on kraken, won't like to miss it again..  Cry thx for your help!

So far there are no statements towards this from Bittrex. If I was you I would not hold the coins on Bittrex. I would download the desktop wallet and transfer the coins over there!

Its always better to have control over the private keys for events like this. Better safe, than sorry. And the NXT wallet is really easy to use, no hassle in installing it, its done in a matter of minutes.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best decentralised exchange? on: December 13, 2017, 01:37:40 AM
EtherDelta is working good so far. Another one I know about is Idex, but its very young and has not much users and therefore not much volume yet. But actually it works way faster than EtherDelta. I think Lykke is a semi decentralized exchange, its also quite nice, but only got mobile apps to use so far.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing on ICOS is good or bad ? on: December 13, 2017, 01:36:02 AM
If you do your due dilligence and are capable of evaluating an ICO project thouroughly, it can be a good move to invest in ICO's, it can bring huge returns if you pick the winners.

But if you dont do proper research and just invest more or less blindly in random ICO's you could also put your money in the trash can, its a very risky business with many scammers around.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: put 1k into waves on: December 13, 2017, 01:33:58 AM
Hi guys, i might be a bit late but i hope this train will still go forth for a while;
With the recent litecoins pump i made like 2k profit, so today i put aprox 1k into waves, i sold 4LTC and bought 73 waves  Grin

what do you think about that? Let's hope i made the right decision  Smiley

what are your predictions for waves? i had the chance to buy when it was 6 dollar and i didn't, right now it's almost 15 dollar could've almost tripled my investment by now xd

Anyway let's hope it will raise like a madman in 2018

goodluck everybody

I think that this decision was a good one! As with the current rally of Litecoin, there surely will come a correction soon, so its a good decision to realize some profits and putting this profits into Waves (one of my favourite coins) is definitely a good decision! Waves has a lot to come in 2018 and Im sure there will be much higher pricing soon. Waves ~$15 is still very undervalued in my opinion.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ether price hit 700$ by the end of 2017. on: December 13, 2017, 01:30:35 AM
Ether is now trading around $600, do you think it will hit $700 by the end of this year.

Definitely mate, I think that Ethereum can even break $800 by the end of this month/ year. I think many people are bullish on ETH and will likely realize their Bitcoin profits into Ethereum. Maybe this rally will start right after the upcoming Bitcoin forks, I guess many people are waiting for those forks to happen before they start realizing their profits.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: December 13, 2017, 01:23:10 AM
If I keep my ardr on bittrex, will I still receive my ignis is during the snapshot?

Don't keep your ARDR on bitrex, you will lose your ARDR. IGNIS is associated with NXT, not ARDR.

As far as I know, Ignis is associated with Ardor, because Ignis is the first childchain of Ardor. But the "airdrop" of Ignis is only associated with NXT coins. The snapshot will be taken from the NXT blockchain and NXT holders will be the beneficials from this process.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: December 13, 2017, 01:19:05 AM
Since the total number of bitcoin is fixed, so the value of bitcoin will keep grow, and it's price will keep grow also. So will there a price cap for bitcoin?

In theory yes, as long as the demand / buyers, outweigh the supply/ sellers the Bitcoin price should keep increasing. But I guess that it wont keep increasing forever. There will be governments stepping in and do something about it. Time will tell!
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OMG what happend with Litecoin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: December 13, 2017, 01:12:54 AM
what happend with ltc? its now 235$ !!!!

its a pump?

At the time of this writing: $313, this rally is just crazy! I expected Litecoin to grow, but not almost $200 in one day. But this market keeps proving me wrong.

But the total market cap is just growing and growing. Its crazy how much money went into crypto this year
At the time of this writing:  $500.072.478.713
798  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: December 13, 2017, 01:08:14 AM
I think Kraken is a nice exchange, although it has some major performance problems now and then. But overall Im totally satisfied with the service Kraken is providing.

Does anybody know why Kraken is listing some Cryptos with not that much traction while other with bigger market cap and bigger community dont get listed there?

Out of curiosity, what are the criterias to get listed on Kraken?
799  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can facebook become an operating system? on: December 13, 2017, 01:05:33 AM
Hi everyone.
It is possible for facebook to become an operating system software like Windows or Linux?

I really dont think so and I also dont think that facebook is aiming at becoming an operating system. From my point of view, facebook is already way too much in peoples lives and has access to too much private data, this would only get worse with it becoming an OS. However this is the fault of the people themselves, they are exposing their private data to companies like facebook without thinking of the potential consequences. Im really happy with my life without any of those social media channels! (as you can hear, Im not a big fan of FB)
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HealthTRUST+ [HT] - Securing Healthcare Data On Blockchain on: December 13, 2017, 12:53:11 AM
Can you guys recommend any other option?

There's someone messaging all the users on telegram, calling it a scam company and it's hurting our funding.

I don't want to do KYC at all, I love the privacy and anonymity of blockchain/cryptos, but I don't see any other option.

Maybe a few moderators for the telegram chat in my absence and they earn a nice bounty.

Also an update - we have spoken to etherdelta and we will be hopefully getting our coin listed on that exchange as soon as the audits are over.

I understand your pain, but its quite normal that there is trolling going on in the telegram channels. People need to ask the uncomfortable questions as well. But if its nothing but trolling with the intention to hurt the project you can ban those users from the group. But rest assured, you will find trolls in every telegram channel (PTOY telegram was also flooded with trolls, they recently closed down their Telegram group as well). I guess the people that will be influenced by trolling are the ones you can do without. People that did their due dilligence properly wont listen to trolling on a telegram group and rather trust their research about the project. But the idea of additional administrators for the group is good, what time of the day are you not availible to attent the group?

I'm usually not available most of the time because I am with my patients. I probably have 1 hour a day I can check it. The issue here is that there were users messaging others privately in the group and causing issues. I have figured out who that person is and I would have pressed charges but he is in a different country.

Thats certainly bad, you cant control when someone starts messaging the group members in private. There are two other ways you could work with telegram. Firstly you could set up an announcement channel, this will still bear the risk of someone messaging the channel subscribers. Secondly you could set up a bot to whom people could write their questions to and you could then answer them whenever you are ready to (I dont know how to do this, but I saw it at another project which had no telegram group as well). I guess such a telegram bot is a convenient solution in means of costumer support.
If you will decide to set up a telegram group again, I could help you out with moderation, but I cant provide 23 hours service.

Thank you bribed. I will be hiring 3-4 moderators so no one has to moderate around the clock.

Check your PM!

Alright, that sounds good! Hire people that live in different parts of the globe, so there will be around the clock coverage. I replied to your PM, you can write to me on Telegram whenever you are ready!
