781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 25, 2023, 07:54:10 PM
Can Arsenal win the league this season? Maybe...
Will they win the league sometime in the next 5 years if Arteta stays and the board backs him up? Definitely.
I second this, Arsenal have improved so much from last season, they learnt quite a lot after capitulating in the final few weeks of the last season, i think the more you find yourself in such situations, the better you do next time, because each time you fail you pick a lesson or two from it. City are very strong and they know how to win the EPL, it would be extremely difficult for Arsenal to win the league this season, and i think City would win it again, but Arsenal are going to be Premier League champions in the nearest future if they continue in this way, they are building a winning team and if they can keep the players happy and together, then they'll achieve this feat soon.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 25, 2023, 06:19:32 PM
Congratulations to Manchester United the actually won although I still think they are shaky and would need to do more. Bayern Munich also out classed Galatasaray and I think the group winner is already settled and now Manchester United and Galatasaray would have to fight for that position although I think Manchester United might just slightly edge Galatasaray in that struggle.
Manchester United are very far from their best, but they would take the win in anyway it came, now that they finally got their first points of this season's CL, they have to improve before their subsequent games against Copenhagen, Galatasaray and Bayern Munich respectively.

Having said that, Bayern Munich were of course expected to top the group, and like you said, second spot is now between United and Galatasaray, United has 3 points, whilst Galatasaray has 4 points, so it is so tight and the both teams have to pick up vital points in the next three games if they are to go through.
783  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Something dangerous we do when using Binance P2P platform on: October 25, 2023, 04:49:09 PM
Binance P2P also provides more warning messages for trading so that you don't get cheated by any counter party or third party. All these cautionary rules must be followed while trading on Binance P2P otherwise you will definitely get scammed.
Whilst trading on Binance, the exchange locks the funds and you can only release the coins if you agree that you have received the money and everything went smooth, thus Binance is a third party in the trade and they can confiscate your funds, so it isn't really peer to peer. However, if you make a personal mistake of releasing funds without verifying if you've received payment, then it is on you.
However, in order to trade on Binance P2P, users must have a privacy policy.
I really do not get what you mean by "privacy policy" here, but mind you that there is really zero privacy when you trade with centralized exchanges.
784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 24, 2023, 09:33:03 PM
Manchester United beat Copenhagen 1-0 with a goal scored by Harry Maguire. And Manchester United got their first win of this season in the UEFA Champions League.
It is a very big win for Manchester United and they keep their hopes of qualifying for the RO16 alive, anything other than a victory and it would have required a miracle for United to go through. It is not job done yet, they still have to beat Copenhagen in the reverse fixture and get 6 points before facing Galatasaray and Bayern Munich in the last two games.

It was also a great night for both Harry Maguire and Andre Onana, two players who have been thrown under the bus for a lot of poor performances, but today they were able to redeem themselves, at least for the moment, big goal by Harry and a great penalty save from Onana in the last kick of the game. Now Manchester United go into the Manchester derby in the weekend with full confidence.
785  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: October 24, 2023, 04:35:16 PM
Naira has continued to fall, it has recently increased to ₦1250. The last time I saw it which was yesterday, it was around ₦1170, but now above ₦1250.
Yeah, and the thing is, there is no sign of slowing down in sight, we could prolly see $1/1500 naira before the end of this year, the Naira is depreciating so fast whilst the cost of living and prices of commodities continues to skyrocket. If the government doesn't do something about local production of goods and services as well as making better economic policies, in a few years the Naira might be amongst the world's top weakest currencies.
The recent increase in bitcoin aside the naira devaluation has been because of the bitcoin spot ETF that many bitcoin investors are optimistic about and buying bitcoin.
I notice say many people dey really expect something unprecedented as per the price of Bitcoin if spot ETF happen during the time wey halving go happen, even people wey i know don dey buy and hodl Bitcoin and once we enter next year, the number of people wey dey buy and hodl go also increase. I no know wetin go happen, but na to join the optimism, but make sure say you no go buy wetin you no fit afford to lose and also no borrow money or use money for other important things take go buy Bitcoin.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: October 24, 2023, 04:16:20 PM
Hi all. How to buy more when growing? Today we are growing, but I don’t want to buy. Share your experience in this matter.
You haven't shared your own experience because what you've said here doesn't make too much sense to me, you don't want to buy, then don't buy; mind you that you've not told us exactly what you don't want to buy, is it Bitcoin, or Altcoins or some other assets. If it is Bitcoin, then you can basically buy it at anytime, it has an actual utility and it would not go extinct, if what you don't want to buy is Altcoins, then maybe you are actually doing yourself a favor without even realizing it.
787  Other / Meta / Re: Wallet Software Board Need General Wallet Thread - Complicated Task For Admin on: October 24, 2023, 02:58:05 PM
So would be wise to have the general thread about various wallets in Wallet software board, like this one
If i understood you correctly, you want a general megathread for wallets that do not have their own child board under the wallet software child board, discussing about different wallets in one single megathread would really be messy. Individual megathreads for it might make more sense, but still users would need to create their own new thread in the wallet software child board, because it can easily be missed or ignored if posted in the megathread. Imo, nothing needs to change there and if the wallet you want to discuss about doesn't have its own child board, just post it in wallet software.
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 24, 2023, 01:48:55 PM
I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?
It is true that many people only want to buy Bitcoin when they see that the price is rising, just a small pump up to $35k and the fomo effect has already started. Mind you that some of these people who have started asking questions about Bitcoin, would sell in the next correction period, only to return when the next pump happens, rinse and repeat stuff.

OP, i guess you are not buying one Bitcoin, so you prolly should forget about what the price of one Bitcoin is and accumulate what you can afford to lose. Buying at intervals irrespective of the price is what we call DCA, and if you are a newbie with limited understanding, using that srategy would save you the headache of trying to time the market.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 23, 2023, 10:46:31 PM
Spurs' 2-0 victory over Fulham means their unbeaten start to life in the EPL this season continues, before the game started, i never thought there was going to be a chance for Fulham and there wasn't, Spurs dominated the game and they were the worthy winners. Ange Postecoglou is doing brilliantly, with little to no attention on him. When people talk about title contenders they mention City, Arsenal and Liverpool, but Spurs are just going about their business unnoticed, and maybe, just maybe they could be another title contender we are overlooking.
790  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Urgent Help] Please legit check the platform Idexop.vip on: October 23, 2023, 08:31:45 PM
I was putting some money to trade in the crypto platform...
You were basically trading on a scam platform and handing your money over to scammers. Next time don't trust, but verify.
Now, I want to cash out some profits but the customer service won’t let me do it.
There is no money to cash out per se, all you are seeing in your account is nothing but numbers that they want to use to lure you into losing more money.
They asked me to deposit money (20% of my profit gain) in to the platform (they said this is for taxes on my capital gain), so that I could cash out my current assets in the platform. Also, I have to submit the deposit within 15 days. Failure to do that will lead to account freezing and daily fund loss.
Lol, this platform now acts as the government and collects taxes,  Grin It is all bullshit, if you pay the money, they'll keep on asking for more, you're never getting your money out of there, so forget about it; and next time don't hand your money over to platforms that can just confiscate it.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 23, 2023, 08:33:02 AM
The game tommorow I can say, Manchester United can not win Copenhagen. The qualification? I'll take back wherever I must have said. Manchester United though should improve else they're back in the Premier League week in week out!
It is a must-win game for Manchester United tomorrow, if they fail to win, then their chances of qualification will be slim to none. When the draw was made everyone expected Manchester United and Bayern Munich to be the two teams to progress in that group, but United hae been so disappointing, and have lost two games out of two. Erik Ten Hag is a man under pressure, elimination from the CL group stage would put him under more pressure, but because United know how important this game is, i think they would win, it would not be a comfortable victory, but they'll just get over the line somehow.
792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You data is not safe on centralized exchanges on: October 22, 2023, 08:21:43 PM
But quite confused actually, for some beginners who learn to invest in Crypto, the first they recognize is a centralized exchange, so as to register and do KYC to be able to get the full features in the sale and purchase activity.
Do not be confused, even if you decide to use a centralized exchange, only use it whenever you want to convert crypto to fiat or vise versa, but do not use it to keep assets, your assets should be kept in your non-custodial wallet. I understand that it is very difficult for so many people to avoid using centralized exchanges for buying or selling crypto, but the best thing you can do for yourself is not to use it as a "bank", move your coins to Sparrow, Electrum or any other good non-custodial wallet.
793  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of this new scamming methods on: October 22, 2023, 08:14:11 PM
A scammer can try any sort of social engineering to make you click on their phishing link, so don't click on random links as we always say and once a stranger you're chatting with starts acting suspicious or in a way that feels too good to be true, it is better to discontinue the conversation and avoid chatting with such a person again.

You say you work as a community moderator for different projects, i hope you don't keep your assets on the same device you use for all these online stuffs, if you do; then move the majority of your funds offline, that is the first and most important step in protecting your funds from scammers.

Chelsea are slowly coming back to their senses. After the transfers made in the first six weeks and the change of manager, a good performance was expected from Chelsea, but after the seventh week Chelsea started to come back to their senses and started to make their fans happy.
Chelsea have slightly improved, nothing great, but at least something for their fans to cheer about. It is easy to see that this Chelsea team are yet to blend together, individually they have very good players, but they are pretty poor as a team. Chelsea ought to have made a big statement in beating Arsenal yesterday, but you could see how easy it was for Arsenal to get back in the game from two goals down (even if they were poor throughout the game).

This Chelsea team isn't capable of winning any trophy yet, or even make it into the top four, they have quite a lot of work to do if they are to return to their previous standards, and it would take a long while to get there.
795  Other / Meta / Re: Solution to account seller? I think on: October 22, 2023, 01:17:32 PM
Other than the fact that this has been tried before and didn't work out, who is going to set up the trap accounts? Moderators, admin or just any user? It is definitely going to cause more harm than good and i'm pretty sure one should have better things doing with their time than controlling "trap accounts" to catch account sellers/buyers.

It is quite difficult to hide forever from a bought account, some are even caught within the first few weeks after buying the account, i think this alone is a deterrent, because you risk spending a lot of money only to see the account tagged a few weeks later. I know that despite this, users still buy accounts, but only a few can manage to stay completely out of the radar and not be caught either due to change in posting style/pattern, language improvement or downgrade, etc
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 20, 2023, 09:29:30 PM
I feel international games are more aggressive than normal club side games.
No, they are not, players are getting injured because of the enormous number of games that are being played, players can get injured anywhere, either with their club side or with their national team, hell, they can even get injured in training. All footballing bodies must look into the number of games that players have to play every season, if it isn't reduced then the players will keep getting fatigued and injured more often, and by extension they'll have shorter careers.
797  Other / Meta / Re: Post/Thread Writing With AI - For Faster Signature Campaign Rewards - Easy & Fun on: October 20, 2023, 06:32:49 PM
To make forum life more easy and modern, posts and threads writing with AI ( Artificial Intelligence ) could be nice gift for all forum users. AI using in Bitcointalk forum can be also real life safer, when you need to make more posts/threads to receive the signature campaign awards.
Posting texts written by AI is plagiarism, thus how does posting what you didn't construct by yourself make the forum modern, using AI wouldn't get you any rewards from signature campaigns, but it'd get you banned anyway.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 20, 2023, 06:26:08 PM
Now Arsenal faces Chelsea who also has been coming back in form, I don't think it would be easy for Arsenal because Chelsea has now woken up and I think they have been playing well lately. Although if I was to bet on this my money would be on Arsenal.
Rodri was unavailable when Arsenal beat City, but it is definitely not an excuse, City should be able to cope without certain players, and what that means is that if they think they are lacking replacements in a particular department, they should go for reinforcements, and i really think they need another defensive midfielder in January.

Arsenal are in full confidence, but this game against Chelsea would be different from the one against City, in this game Chelsea are the underdogs and everyone expects them to lose, against City, Arsenal are not the favorites to win. Thus this can work in Chelsea's favor because they really do not have anything to lose, they basically have to go out there and execute their gameplan expertly, i'd give Chelsea a chance in this one, they are eager to make a statement and they might do that.
799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You data is not safe on centralized exchanges on: October 20, 2023, 05:03:55 PM
Exchanges are not the only place where you have shared your data. Your social media handle, website that you use for working purposes even your children's school database nothing is safe. If your identity is shaved somewhere on the internet then there will always be a chance for it to be misused.
Of course you have an ID card, your data is with your government and other institutions in your country, the government could also work with your bank to confiscate the fiat in your bank account, or get any information about you from centralized services you have used in your country. But that is the "centralized world", and i think that if you have interest in Bitcoin, you would want to want to keep that aspect of your financial life away from the government by not using crypto centralized services.
Centralized exchanges usually don't share your data with any third parties and the purpose of that data is to prevent you from any illegal activities with your account. I am not seeing anything bad about it.
They can share that data with any third party that has the legal right to request for it, whether you are wanted for any illegal activity or not.
800  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much money can you make by investing in Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2023, 03:48:17 PM
Is investing in Bitcoin easy or complicated? Is it possible to achieve success by investing in Bitcoin? The main thing is how one can earn if he invests in Bitcoin and if he stays for a long time.
It is complicated if all you have in mind is getting rich quick, and easy if you know how and where to buy, where to keep it, operational security, and most of all if you know what exactly Bitcoin is.

You want to achieve success in something you do not understand, what sort of logic is that; change your perspective about Bitcoin and start asking the right questions, in order for you to learn about the network; if all you simply want to do is gamble your money in crypto, then maybe you should be looking in the direction of altcoins.
