Right, that's five Thrones running.  I'm going to park it there for a while.

Sounds like you did that with ease!?

You said you clone your Thrones, does this make it simple to create several?

BTW, the new Thrones wallet will include a GUI for setting up Thrones

I launched one VPS, compiled the daemon, synced the blockchain and created a crowncoin.conf.  I then created a snapshot of that VPS.

I launched four other VPS instances using that snapshot.  All I had to do was delete wallet.dat so that I could import the private key of a 10,000CRW vin without the vin from the previous Throne and edit the IP address and throne key in the conf file.  Once that was done, all I had to do was start each Throne.

Takes about five minutes each.

How does one set up a daemon as a throne wallet?

Edit: Sorry, wasn't reading previous posts......

The short answer is just like a Dash masternode.

The long answer will be in the guide I post in the next day or two.

I forgot a step.

1) New build to be put on BCT and web site.
2)  Guide on how to set up a throne needs to be completed and posted.
3) Roadmap for services that thrones will provide in the future needs to be defined and published.
4)  Miners need to update to latest version.
5) Enforce payments
6) ?
7) Profit
Cool Bro Down

Code:
ubuntu@server-2:~/src/crowncoin/src$ ./crowncoin-cli thronelist
{
    "149.202.164.150:9340" : "ENABLED"
}

First Throne is online.

Congratulations stone! I knew you could do it! Cheesy

Take alook at my newest version of potential income from Thrones. This is as close to accurate figures as we're going to get

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x4KjbxtqGPKghajJb3scJBL6ED3B_CCBbYES6N6CR28/edit#gid=1746240759

You've convinced me Cheesy

Four more Thrones live.  Will launch a fifth when I have enough confirmations.

So, steps to get the ball rolling:

1) New build to be put on BCT and web site.
2)  Guide on how to set up a throne needs to be completed and posted.
3) Roadmap for services that thrones will provide in the future needs to be defined and published.
4)  Miners need to update to latest version.

Not long now Smiley

Code:
ubuntu@server-2:~/src/crowncoin/src$ ./crowncoin-cli throne start
throne input must have at least 15 confirmations

Finally managed to compile successfully.  Thanks for your help all.

Will sync chain and then see if I can set up some test Thrones.

I'm hoping to post a decent guide on how to compile and set up a Throne soon so other noobs like me can contribute to testing.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW][SHA256] Crowncoin. Merged Mining | Time Stamping | Name Your Address on: June 10, 2016, 08:06:50 AM
Right.  Good BST morning all.

I need some help and suggestions.

Obviously this coin is getting to a stage where a concerted effort with testing is needed.  Once testing is completed and Thrones are live we will also need to make it as easy as possible to set up a Throne.

This is where it helps that I am a complete idiot when it comes to compiling daemons.

I want to create an idiots guide to compiling Crowncoin on a Linux VPS.  Anybody want to help?

I spent an hour or two trying to compile on Ubuntu 16.01 yesterday with no luck.

These are the steps I tried:

Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential libtool autotools-dev automake pkg-config libssl-dev libevent-dev bsdmainutils

sudo apt-get install libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-chrono-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-test-dev libboost-thread-dev

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev

mkdir -p src && cd src

git clone https://github.com/Crowndev/crowncoin.git

cd crowncoin/

git checkout master

./autogen.sh && ./configure  && sudo make install -j 2

This is the output when compile failed:

Code:
ubuntu@server-1:~/src/crowncoin$ ./autogen.sh && ./configure  && sudo make install -j 2

I'm looking to buy a fairly large amount of CRW.  PM me if interested in selling.

Would prefer to trade on an exchange to save using escrow.

The bounty for adding Thrones has a significant amount of Crowncoin as part of the deal.
The dev may not want to keep all the coins we give him.

So I can ask him and at what price he'd like to sell at

Pm me an around figure you wanna buy

Welcome Smiley

I've got my budget...the amount I want to buy depends entirely on how many are for sale and at what price Wink

Sounds interesting: Android wallet. What's the status of those developments?

Hi everybody.

I want to shut spreadx.eu down but I wanted to give somebody else a chance to launch a block explorer for SPR

Any takers?

What hardware is it running on?

Its currently running on:

OpenStack KVM
4 vCores
3.1 GHz
8 GB RAM
100 GB

But it doesn't need that much.  I overspeced because of the apps that I was having developed.  Dice, android wallets etc...
