841  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Locker for files, links, and content. on: February 14, 2019, 10:06:51 AM
There isn't too much information on your website. Unless you register?
Are you providing this as a service? Are there plugins for popular CMS (Wordpress etc.)?

What's your pricing model?

These are all things I'd want to know without having to create an account first.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - man arrested for stealing bitcoins and altcoins on: February 14, 2019, 09:10:09 AM
Gambling addicts will do anything to get their fix, this is a good example of that.
You can tell by the way he was scamming people, that he was being very careless. I mean, changing people's recovery e-mails and scamming individual customers is just bound to get out eventually.

In the grand scheme of things, $26k isn't all that much, I'm sure that the exchange would have no trouble paying back that amount of money.
Heck, they probably make that in under a week if they have decent trade volume.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No one is using dapps on: February 13, 2019, 01:44:50 PM
In my opinion, i think the era of DApps is gradually coming to an end. It will be god for developers to begin to look in a new direction. There is more to the usage of these applications, else they are all rendered useless.

Bullshit, the era of dApps is just beginning. You have to be really clueless to think it's already coming to an end.
On what do you even base your reply on? Got any numbers that actually show decline overall?
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If... on: February 13, 2019, 11:24:30 AM
Why would you blame someone else when you lose a game? That's one of the silliest things I've ever heard, I really don't understand the thinking behind that.
You really shouldn't blame anyone but yourself for losing a game, if your actions caused you to lose that game.

I don't see how anyone else's actions could cause you to lose a game. Except maybe in poker, but even there it's a combination of your own actions and someone else's.
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the inconveniences you experience with crypto related gamble projects. on: February 13, 2019, 11:08:06 AM
The only inconvenience I ever experience is when transactions take long to be added to your account.
I play on a website that adds transactions after 1 confirmation, but that can sometimes take longer than 15 minutes when using Bitcoin.

This isn't the fault of the gambling website, but rather something inherent to Bitcoin transaction speeds.
This should be solved when more website implement lightning network payments though.
846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Deep Web on: February 13, 2019, 10:52:16 AM
It's a little bit funny that you mention it as if it's the biggest news you've ever heard.
Darknet markets were one of the first use-cases were Bitcoin was used for e-commerce on a massive scale.

They've been around for a long time and there's no denying that these markets have had a pretty big influence on Bitcoin's price.
Maybe less now, but historically I think it's very likely that it created some of the initial demand for Bitcoin.

Since this is an internetwide community, has anyone here access deepweb like him and purchased anything using bitcoin? I m really curioused about this one. Accessing deepweb also requires some special software. You should also have high security in order to not get hacked so bitcoin is only the possible way to transfer payments.

Anyone can access the 'deep web' through the TOR browser, just make sure you disable Javascript before you do anything.
There are markets that also use other coins than just Bitcoin. I think Wall Street Market supports Monero for example.

Here's more information about anything Darknet Market related:
https://www.deepdotweb.com

I don't condone doing anything illegal, but it's ultimately your own responsibility.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No one is using dapps on: February 13, 2019, 10:39:56 AM
it is funny to see this topic after another topic that i saw in this board a while ago saying how DApps are being used every day and was trying to hype up some of these platform tokens for his own benefit.
and both are wrong, DApps can be very useful, in fact the idea of it is one of the best things that has been created lately but so far their only usage has been for pump and dumps. which is possibly why OP is saying they aren't used.

There are enough dApps that are being used every day. I personally use dApps daily on the Steem blockchain, together with thousands of people.
Just check the statistics on Steemapps and you'll see that the top dApps have thousands of daily transactions.

Steem dApps on Steemapps.com

Steem Monsters is still widely popular, since the beginning I've earned around $2000, just by playing and trading cards.
Now I'm also on DrugWars and I see hundreds of active players.

The best part is that gambling dapps are in the minority on Steem, so there are more interesting dApps being developed than just simple dice games.
848  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: "Hashback" Rewards - Mining Power as an Incentive on: February 13, 2019, 10:19:57 AM
I don't know if it would be worth it.
Seems like a very convoluted way to offer cashback rewards, meaning that it's not very easy to calculate exactly how much you're getting.

I can't really imagine that you'd earn anything meaningful and you basically have to jump through some hoops to actually cash out your rewards.
Why not give people some actual cashback rewards in ETH? Just skip the whole mining token giveaway process.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: On Litecoin on: February 12, 2019, 11:53:49 AM
Aw, you changed your profile image, I really liked the one with the cat and airplane Tongue

Litecoin really is a great example of an altcoin that isn't a shitcoin.
It's the coin I use the most aside from Bitcoin, just because it's affordable and faster than using Bitcoin.

I'd like to add that for a coin not to be a shitcoin, marketcap isn't always a factor for me.
Let me give you one example.

Lately I've been quite impressed with the coin LBRY, it has almost no value and it's in rank 377 on Coinmarketcap.
The reason why I think it's not a shitcoin, is that it has a fully functioning application that's being updated almost weekly.

https://lbry.io/

While LBRY isn't a major altcoin, it's not a shitcoin either and it's a very interesting project IMO.

Quick description:

LBRY is a free, open, and community-run digital marketplace.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Now On Par With Apple Pay on: February 12, 2019, 11:37:43 AM
The article itself mentions that Apple Pay is faster in day-to-day use than Lightning Network.

Quote
However, in everyday scenarios, Apple Pay still tops the LN in terms of speed, being a “couple of seconds” faster when it comes to payment settlement.

That's what ultimately matters most, right?
You can't really use transaction speed data that's being measured in near perfect conditions, to prove the point that LN is faster.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino with Instant Deposit and Quick withdraw on: February 12, 2019, 11:04:52 AM
Are there even any casino's left that offer 0 confirmation deposits?
People could easily just do a double spend, in order to gamble without any risks.

Crypto-Games adds deposits after 1 confirmation and processes withdraws instantly, that's the best I've personally ever found.
Added bonus is that you can choose the network fees for your withdrawal.
852  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Announcing Bbuck- A project that will pay you to win video games on: February 12, 2019, 10:51:47 AM
If you are currently integrated with Fortnite, then surely you have something to show for it?
Is there anything other than a Telegram channel, where we could read about your existing Fortnite integration?

The description that you've given doesn't actually provide a lot of information.

We decided to change that by building out a crypto economic model that will pay gamers for their wins.

The term 'crypto economic model' could mean a bunch of different things.

Are you building some sort of prize pool with crypto, in order to host tournaments?
Or have you found a way to pay people for winning, without the tournament aspect?
853  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐Crypto-Games.net ⭐4 Years Old ⭐LARGEST wagering contest⭐New Game - Minesweeper on: February 11, 2019, 01:19:49 PM
I wish I'd won the last Litecoin lottery, had bought quite a few tickets.
Then I saw Roadcrypto won it with only a couple of percent tickets owed :-/

I can never seem to win with the lottery, not that I play that often, but I think I've lost the last 10 times I've played.
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First seastead is now in international waters. Only currencies accepted..฿ & BTC on: February 11, 2019, 12:44:21 PM
Wow, it's really neat that you have the first structure up!
Do you have some sort of ETA for when the next structures are going up?

I'd really be interested in seeing pictures of at least 3 capsules, together in a cluster.
855  Economy / Services / Re: Dentist accepting bitcoins (or other criptocurrencies) on: February 10, 2019, 03:55:30 PM
Would it be possible for you to give some sort of discount when people use cryptocurrency to pay?
In the end, you are saving on transaction fees and it's always a good thing to have less cash in your offices (to combat stealing)

I've seen some stores give out a 5 or 10% discount when people pay with Bitcoin.
856  Economy / Speculation / Re: 🔴 🔴 It's happening! It's happening! It's happening! ⭕ ⭕ on: February 08, 2019, 09:56:05 PM
I'm usually not getting too excited anymore for sudden price changes like these, but I have to admit that this one got me pumped up a little bit.
I'm really curious whether it will hold next week, but the increase seems a little bit bigger than previous times.

Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst Smiley
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rugby Union : 2019 Six Nations Championship on: February 08, 2019, 05:43:04 PM
I'm definitely rooting for France the next game, I'd really like to see them win it this year.
Think I might even place a bet on them, to take it home this year.

Really like the odds that I'm getting.
858  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btcfor.gifts on: February 08, 2019, 03:45:28 PM
Egifter is also pretty good, I've used them in the past and never had any issues.
https://www.egifter.com/

Only for the US though and they don't seem to have any other local websites for other countries.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: The cycle is unique but structured on: February 08, 2019, 03:17:16 PM
Completely false, Bitcoin's price hasn't always dropped at the beginning of the year.
At least not any more significantly than during other times of the year.

Heck there are even instances of Bitcoin's price going up during January and February.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Comic - Feel free to help crowdfund it on: February 08, 2019, 03:02:30 PM

I paid about $150 for the cover page. Do you think that is a fair price or did I get ripped off?

I wouldn't say that you got ripped off. The artwork isn't bad, but it's not exactly my taste either.

Could you have found someone better and cheaper? Possibly, but I reckon it's somewhat difficult to find good artists that would work for less money.
