It was successful
4/4

842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eloncoin : An Emerging Idea of Global Virtual Currency on: January 17, 2024, 05:23:43 AM
Elon Musk as a global innovator
Yeah dude, innovator of the current system of exploitation of the workers, did you know that he's getting the cobalt for the batteries of the Tesla's in a cobalt mine in Africa that's basically operated on a slave labor conditions? Not to mention that his antics online is too goofy for me to believe that he's going to change the world for the better which I don't think is the case, he's going to want just more money for himself so he can do whatever he wants to do. I don't think that Eloncoin is even associted to him in anyway, probably just a crypto that wants to hitch on his popularity.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream business succeeded on: January 17, 2024, 04:52:42 AM
Wow, you've got a fully furnished bar and establishment for that amount? Now I want to know where you're from because I want to live there, I could probably retire with my money there if I wanted to because I feel like you're getting a really good value out there. Congratulations on your part, would've been more awesome if you've done the hardwork for the money but nonetheless, congratulations on the business and may you become successful.

put dancing naked woman and man in your bar. a lot of costumer coming there. Grin
Calm down with your suggestions, do it yourself if you want to but it's definitely a good suggestion, make sure that you're getting the most attractive ones though, don't want seeing unattractive attractions you know.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how wasabi, electrum, exodus ... make money ? on: January 17, 2024, 04:29:10 AM
~
I haven't seen any donation address on the official website. Maybe there was before, I can't remember but this is what I've seen on the same question if there's a way to donate to electrum.

This is the exact thing that came out when I've searched. It asked and answered three years ago on reddit.

Electrum probably doesn't have revenue as part of its operational structure. As for donations, this was once the reply of the developer:

However, you you can donate to the people who run public Electrum servers.
Electrum does relies on servers, and we currently lack an effective way to reward the server operators.

they don't accept donations. instead they suggest donating to the electrum server you are connected to. you can do that via the help menu option.

Prolly, all of the servers and stuff are gonna run based on its community or otherwise if come short, from their own pockets.
That's too bad that they're working for free, in my opinion, they're the type of people that I won't mind paying for their services because they're doing what they're promising to do, they would've been making bank if they start some form of monetization but they choose to be our heroes, when I finally made a profit, I'll probably do what @ThomasV wanted us to do. I can't imagine myself running a server and having to spend my own money to run it without any profit, I salute this people, not all heroes wear capes.
845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how wasabi, electrum, exodus ... make money ? on: January 17, 2024, 02:26:42 AM
Wasabi is a coinjoin and the money that would be made should be from coinjoin. I am not using Exodus because it is a close source wallet but it supports altcoins and it may support third parties sites that can be used to convert from one coin to another. Electrum developers are not making money from anywhere.
Do Electrum devs have any donation link? I don't think people won't mind if they do that because a lot of people are using their wallet with satisfaction and it's a pretty good wallet too, easy to use and almost idiot proofed. It's pretty good that they care about their servers but the devs need some love too right?
846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 17, 2024, 01:48:42 AM
That would be a good idea but the way the mind of some of us works, I don't think that we're going to like the idea of paying rent with bitcoin, now I'm not all the way a no go for this idea though, if it's a rent to own kind of deal and I'm getting a discount from using bitcoins to pay rent then I'm going to go for it because the investment right there is the property which you can probably sell more in the future when you finally own it.
847  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakaapekto kaya Sa Bitcoin Adoption Sa Mga Nangyayaring Rigodon Sa Ating Bansa on: January 16, 2024, 11:12:49 AM

849  Economy / Economics / Re: How influential is crypto worldwide? on: January 16, 2024, 09:49:03 AM
I feel like it's not as influential as it is right now and seeing that even with I perceived to be a small amount of influence that crypto is still increasing in value by day makes me full of hope that the more people getting into crypto then the more the price will increase and this is probably a start yet and we're not yet at what many thinks is the true peak of crypto so if that doesn't say anything about the potential of crypto then I don't know what others are waiting for.
850  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 16, 2024, 09:00:15 AM

That's one of the reasons why many people who have a full time quit their job and turn their part time job into a full time because honestly, they can earn more from their sideline compared to a full time job. The only difference is that we cannot say that freelance work is stable because the discussion and offer here is per contract and when it comes to benefits and government contributions, they no longer cover that.

If I will be given the chance to be accepted for a freelancing job, maybe I will try and weigh carefully what is more worth it, because I can't say that I can do it, until I have tried it and it is really difficult to let go of full time job that offers many benefits. Maybe no matter how good you are at time management, you will still struggle and you might even get sick because of overwork for the sake of earning more.

That's a big mistake, sure they make more money but I'd rather build a career that gives me a steady paycheck than a side gig that only pays in seasons and the competition for getting one is too high, there's more to life than just making money anyway so I think that for the better, find a side hustle that don't suck your soul out and make you want to quit your main job. Freelancing definitely works but to me, the starting of your brand there is what keeps me away from it, I don't want to do too much just to chase extra money if I'm getting enough with my main work, that's just me though, some will definitely disagree how I do my work.
851  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: January 16, 2024, 08:17:26 AM
He became the CEO and then fired half of the workforce that's making the Twitter function as normal as it should and then realizing the mistake then rehires them, the moment that he suddenly became a megalomaniac on that platform became a nail in the coffin for the people to hate on him not to mention that he's not funny anymore, most of the memes that he's posting looked like it's forced. And also the fact that he named Twitter into X, that added more gasoline to the flames.
852  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 16, 2024, 07:31:41 AM
Even if it's negotiable, the price that someone will allow themselves to sell their bitcoin or buy a bitcoin will always be closer to the market price so there's really nothing that changes even if that's the case. And wouldn't the P2P also the cause for the market prices to move right? So even if it's going to make it negotiable, there's no way that people are going to sell it much lower.
853  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 16, 2024, 06:09:00 AM
~
Lol, you're correct.

Most students don't care with financial education until they're work for live, they will realize if money management, tax avoidance, and investment are important.

But I know the reason why financial education not taught in school because school is created to make people become employees, that's why you need to obey every rules and kiss your teacher/boss's ass.

If financial education taught in school, many people will realize to not hold fiat, it will make banks bankrupt and the economy would fail.
I'm the same as OP back then that we should've taught children how to do this kind of stuff but then I missed out on the important reality of the situation, that students won't be as enthusiastic as we think they would be when it comes to this kind of thing because if you actually read some of the stuff yourself, it's really boring. Totally agree with you that school system is made to create employees, that's why in that kind of system it's the responsibility of the parent to teach their kid about this kind of stuff so they're not getting behind and they're smart about it.
854  Economy / Speculation / Re: Isn't it exciting... on: January 16, 2024, 05:41:30 AM
I have had dialog with the op. He is simply bitter about poor choices.
That's actually a sad thing, created an account in a bitcoin community forum just to mock us when they're really the one that's been insecure all this time about making the mistakes that they're doing, I think OP needs to find a new hobby or just join in the fray and see the wonders that bitcoin can give someone.
855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage - how to do it? on: January 15, 2024, 08:13:46 AM
Now? Forget about it. Your competition is some ultra fast bot with deep pockets. If you want you can try and buy bitcoin and sell Bitcoin futures and use your bitcoin as collateral for the trade. Last I checked I think you could make 12% APR this way. Just do 1x leverage so you don’t get liquidated.
They're probably much faster now because I've heard of these bots way back in 2018 and they're already doing 100k trades per minute or second (I can't recall) and that's back then it's just stocks which means that there's a developer already somewhere out there that's done and copied this bot to trade in crypto. I envy those programmers that can create this bots because of how much companies would be paying for this and the fact that you can use it yourself to make trading more convenient for yourself.
856  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-01-12] Bitcoin ETFs Enable the ‘Mass Marketing’ of a Worthless ... on: January 15, 2024, 07:23:08 AM
That's kind of weird to say that Better Markets claims to have their interest siding with the people but they don't seem to care too much about making the existing investment markets like stock market and bonds more accessible to your average American so it's a bit weird that now they're suddenly caring about the people because bitcoin ETF got approved by the SEC? Also, even if they say that it's not an endorsement of the US government, we still know that it is deep in our hearts that they're endorsing it, and they just don't want to directly admit it.
857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't only pray for mass adoption, start HODLING!! on: January 15, 2024, 06:48:52 AM
Honestly, I don't think we'll ever get to a point where the entire world's value is in Bitcoin. That would not only mean that Bitcoin is the only currency, but also that there are no other assets, no other valuable things, technologies, services, etc. I think that's impossible because there's always diversity, and some things that are of practical, if not symbolic, value (like basic foods or medicine).
Also, hodling kind of counts as adoption, but if you think about it, it's not much of a contribution without any active use of Bitcoin being involved. Without movement, Bitcoin doesn't have liquidity, and without liquidity, it doesn't have value.
It won't get to that point as long as there's still a government and that the masses don't unite towards this common goal and those things will be an impossibility as long as we don't destroy the current civilization. There's already enough market movement for bitcoin in my opinion so I don't think that the problem is that, hundreds of millions are traded daily across the crypto platform and exchanges, that's why I think that and at the same time it's also worth mentioning that we can only go up in terms of bitcoin adoption so there's nothing that you have to worry about that part, as an individual, what we need to worry about is where to get the money that we're going to need to accumulate as much right now that the market movement isn't signifying that it's a bull run just a start of the bull run.
858  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Taiko Node Tutorial on: January 15, 2024, 06:08:53 AM

860  Economy / Speculation / Re: back in 2015 we had a nice pre 1/2 ing streak. on: January 15, 2024, 04:08:01 AM
we did get to 48.9k

well lets see the next few months.
I hope that we'll be getting news that will drive the prices down more because I don't want to buy bitcoin at this price right now and it's a pain for me to let my fiat stay like that, my DCA doesn't cut it anymore because the money that I'm getting from my salary is just continuously coming in, the bills are paid and the necessities are all good but the leftover money is just sitting there menacingly tempting me to spend on stuff that I don't need.
