841  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino repeated live payout results on: September 30, 2023, 10:25:00 PM
I saw something that caught my attention. I've recently been curious about the live payout displays in online casinos and wanted to gather some insights from the community. It seems that sometimes, when observing these live payouts, there are instances of repeated results, and I'm wondering if this is normal or if there might be something more to it. my question here is
1.Have you observed repeated IDs and payouts while playing in online casinos, and do you think these patterns are a cause for concern?
2.Are these displays genuinely based on real-time data, or could there be instances of manipulation or programmed repetition?
Some how I feel these data aren't updated and are only programmed so as to attract more players into using their casino.

I think you can check it yourself, click on that name and see his betting patterns, if it seems true, then nothing is out of the norm. But there could be casinos out there that who knows, maybe they are rigging the results or something.

But in any case, it's hard to see in the image that you posted, it's incomplete as far as I'm concern.

And it could be the amount of bets that the user that you are seeing here that's why it's the same and base on the timestamp, it could be the case. At least that's how I see it on my end.
842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: September 30, 2023, 10:02:34 PM
While we prepar for long term hodling we might ought to make provisions and preparation for how best to secure the Bitcoin we intend to hold for so long and having a securely protected personal wallet is the best thing to do in that regard.

Of course, it entails a lot of preparation for being a long term holder. So in order to secure it better, have a hard ware wallet and keep everything there. You just need to backup everything.

True, and I will say that the pandemic really thought me a lesson about holding. I mean you are just alone and can't get out, so that's already a mental challenge. But then again, you have a lot of time to think about your bitcoin investment and so with the pandemic, I was able to hold for so months or even years and accumulate decent to good amount of BTC. So it's very hard if you look at it on paper, but I can attest that anyone can do it and HODL for a long time.

Good for you if you were able to get everything started during the pandemic and the positive effect it did bring to you. For my case, I started much earlier to test myself on how to be a holder. And I can also says that it's a mental game as you have to take a grind week by week, month after month just to be able to stay with your goal of saying and accumulating for the long term and it's going to be worthy in the end or at least if you were able to get at "almost" the top price in a bull run.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Investment tips on: September 30, 2023, 09:46:38 PM
Most of the time probably health is the most important of all but most of the time we always forget about this one, All of our investment is just going to be useless in the end if we doesnt really maintain our health and do a healthy lifestyle, we should never overuse our body just because we wanted to earn a good amount of money, our health should be our priority most of the time, considering our money cannot really do anything when we already have complications on our health. Also when we die we can't really carry our money in the afterlife its just useless paper.

This is so true, not just our physical health, but mentally as well we need to be able to remain healthy. I remember one local interview here of a self made billionaire. He said that you can bring all you wealth when you die. So what he did is just try to help our the country in his own way by making jobs and building infrastructure.

There are always a time when it is really difficult to manage my time and if you not going to manage your time that is where you cannot manage your health as well, I mean it wasn't really easy since we have a lot of things to do in our time and most of the time we always sleep late because we're putting our time on our investment, especially for some daily traders where you really need to keep updated on the market in order to make profit.

So it's better to have money no doubt about it, we work hard for it for our kids and families. But we also need to take care of ourselves as well. We are not getting any younger and so just be watchful of the foods that we need, have regular exercise if you can. So that we can live longer and stay with our families and children and grand kids and have a better relationships with them.
844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 30, 2023, 09:15:18 PM

Casimero is only in the rank 7. If anyone deserves the shot to a title, it's Luis Nery but even him was skipped by Innoue all for unification. There is a possibility that Inoue will move to 126 lbs and probably skip all but challenge Robeisy Ramirez. After all, he already beat Fulton which is below Robeisy so fighting Fulton I think is more of a strategy to get the WBO belt from Robeisy.

The most exciting is the welterweight class which I think Inoue will stay longer to fight top ranks.

Depends on which division you are going to look for Casimero. But obviously you are talking about the WBC so yes, he is number 7 and Nery is number 1. However, as we have been discussing, Nery is banned to fight in Japan because he was once caught using a ban substance.

If Inoue wanted to fight him, then it will be outside of Japan. However, Inoue doesn't want to go out in the US, he defeated Donaire and recently, Stephen Fulton is his hometown. And most likely, if this fight is going to happen, it will still be in Japan as well.
845  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: September 30, 2023, 09:03:59 PM

Like hanggang 82 games or makapasok sa Finals? Medyo long run to pero sigurado profit.

846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Has Bitcoin Changed My Life? on: September 30, 2023, 08:52:52 PM
Yes, it is true that Bitcoin has changed the lives of many people, but more importantly, it has also changed people's attitude towards the nature of money.
That is so true! Thanks to bitcoin I started learning more and more about the financial world, how to properly manage money, keeping under control the expenses, making a DCA plan for both BTC and ETFs, all things that before discovering bitcoin I had no idea they existed because no one ever taught me how money is supposed to be managed. What I've learnt thanks to bitcoin is priceless.

Yeah, there are things that Bitcoin has taught as far as investment goes, there are times that we want to sell to get profits, but then again we should think of long term. And I guess everyone's life here that has been touch by bitcoin has someone change, we become financially freedom, although some of us here could still be un-banked, but that's why bitcoin or to some extend some crypto's are here for that purpose. I just want to reiterate though that we shouldn't take advantage because of the profits that we are getting. Still we have to diversify to other investment as well so that we can built wealth continuously.
847  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: September 29, 2023, 10:14:31 AM
Yes, nitong mga nakaraang araw back to normal na lahat,

848  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 28, 2023, 10:17:42 PM
I havent done so before but like a lot if others I will sell some Bitcoin to take profits
and buy back again when the markets correct.

I know there has been plenty of people doing this for the last halving and been able
to make gains.

I think the  key is to not try time the absolute top before the bear market.
Selling first and taking some profits when the market is bullish is a pretty good decision, depending on how the initial strategy is implemented.
Then buy when the market is corrected to get a cheaper price. You have to pay attention to whether the price is really below or not because there are many traps which in the end continue to be bearish. Therefore, also carry out financial management to buy in stages. Halving is a good opportunity to double profits. Of course buying regularly from now on can be said to be a good opportunity.
Buying regularly is also called accumulation in bitcoin (or investment) world and that is exactly the time to do that right now. I have been trying to accumulate since 40k and down, started my first buy at 40k, bought some at 15k as well and all the prices in between.

I had some other issues which emptied my investments a bit, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with anything, it is just not going to end up with anything that would be dangerous if we keep on accumulating right now. You can do that until halving easily, but if you really want to do more then you can try to do more as well. I believe that we are going to end up with something that would change it on the long run and not really end up anything else.

Yeah, I think that should be the mindset, continue to accumulate as much as you can. Even at the start of the bull run, you can still do that and not think of stopping or selling you stash just before the bull run has started.

That's how I did the last time, specially that the block halving occured during the pandemic, and so you have nothing to do outside but instead focus on your crypto and build it as long as you can. Although we are done with pandemic already, but still it is a effective method to just continue regardless of what cycle we are. In short save and save for the the rainy days as you really don't know what the future holds.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: September 28, 2023, 09:58:24 PM
^ If you are talking about the final press conference?

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOcrNADu7zE

Yes, there could be some respect along the way, Canelo even joking about the animal thingy that Charlo pull off. But in the face-off, you can clearly see that Charlo is really focus on this fight and doesn't want the stare down to finished as it was Canelo who broke from the stare down and face the media.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on Mt. Gox refund ? on: September 28, 2023, 09:35:16 PM
And there was another push on the dates again, from October Oct. 31, 2023, to Oct. 31, 2024.

https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20230921_announcement_en.pdf

So obviously, the repayment will have to wait for another year. For sure this doesn't sit right with those victims who have submitted the necessary papers to claim what is rightfully theirs. So the whole process is a little bit of chunky and regardless of the current price of BTC, they should have gotten it by now. Oh well, another delay another frustrations and it really seems we can't exorcised the demons of Mt. Gox.
851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL SITUATION OF BITCOIN? on: September 28, 2023, 09:04:39 PM
How Much Do You Trust Bitcoin?

Those who invested later, IS ANYONE BUYING BITCOIN AT 60 K?

Imagine Buying Bitcoin AT 60 K And Your Money Is Now 0

Well, Bitcoin Stagnated in the 20-30 Band, Do You Think the Number Could Fall?

Ask this when we are in the bull run, obviously the bear market is still in effect that's why we are still in the $20k-$30k range. But what if in the next bull run the price goes to $100k++?

So for those who have invested at $60k and didn't sell, and what they might be seeing is what we call paper loss. And then they continue to hold then by the end of 2025, they could still made profits.

Or if by chance they sold at $60k, they can reinvest it when the price goes down last year at $15,500, lowest low and then just continue to accumulate as much as they can and sell at the height of the bull run.
852  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: September 28, 2023, 10:23:03 AM

Puputok kaya to next season dahil magkakampi na sila ngayon.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: September 27, 2023, 11:26:14 PM
Already fight week and as usual, bookies already had a lot of options for us to bet and I've noticed that bookies were enticed that this fight would go the full twelve rounds but I think the opposite as Charlo is small as this is his first fight in the 168lbs division so the risk of being KOed is high at least in my point of view and the odds for that is juicy enough for me to push that button.

Yes, it's another good bet for us here mate, so I might be thinking of throwing good money on that line as well. Charlo thinks that he can beat this version of Canelo and it seems that the media is hyping him up.

But I think Canelo will not go down easily, as we have seen when his critics is on him, he proved them wrong just like his fight with GGG. And when we think that he could be in the sunset of his career or at least losing a step, great boxers usually had a fight that will show that he still has it, just like Manny when he beat Keith Thurman.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 27, 2023, 10:45:56 PM
In Russia, many people struggle with financial stress. I think that a young man should have fewer problems in this regard, because he can move to a larger city where there is more work. As an engineer, I was engaged in private repair of computers, laptops and components, and this helped me not to be in poverty. You need to learn useful skills that will help you even in the worst situation.
From smaller problems we get the bigger ones that is why we should be ready to be able to deal with financial stress at all time. Problem will keep coming but it depends on how prepared we are to take and face any problem. If we are always ready to solve problems then we will never be scared to face life challenges. We should always learn to be eagered to face our fears because from that we do get it wrong most time. When we have good job that is giving us consistent funds, it is always easy for us than people that don't have any means of money or have a job they can call there own.

I don't know though, when I was growing up, our families didn't talk about our financials although I know that we are struggling. But my parents were able to make us all graduate from high school to college and we all have our careers now.

Sure there are a lot of problems and hardships that we face when we have our career and families and thinking of our future. However, do we really need to stress out? Or just see what life brings and then adjust our prioritizes and learn how to improved as we mature in life. There are jobs] and then there investment that we can put our money and save so that we will be ready in the future.
855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Even the official links aren't safe anymore. on: September 27, 2023, 10:35:18 PM
It's obvious a fake site @OP, so it's not the official link. But I do agree that everyone is not safe on the world that we live in crypto. Everyone can be deceived by this scammers as they are good at impersonating this site and it looks like it's the very official site.

So lessons here is that even if we thought that the link official, we will have to double or triple check everything as once we fall for it, there is no coming back. So it's good that you are giving warning to everyone here, just sort of wake up call or gently reminder for us as we might be the next victims here.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Experience in Bitcoin Peer-to-Peer in CEX. on: September 27, 2023, 10:24:55 PM
The experience I had today was not encouraging. And I felt bad in the logistic office. They were looking at me at if I was not serious.
I ordered a pair of shoe online days backed and today the shipping company called to their office to picked up the goods which costed me $40 and immediately I received the called from the company (GIG Logistic Delivery Company), I tried to sell bitcoin so I can pay the goods and claimed them. And the time when I made the order to sell bitcoin was are the rate of $26,800 and immediately I made the other the price came down and the buyer cancelled the order and still looked for another buyer to buy the coins so I could buy the carrier agent, the second buyer the same thing, the third buyer the same thing and I still tried again the same thing and that was when I told the Logistic Company Staff that, the bitcoins I was selling to pay the goods were rejected so I will come back the next day and they accepted so I left the place.

Since When I left the place, I was thinking how Centralized Exchange can disappoint your urgent need of cash. I was not really expecting them to treat me like that. I have not experienced such in the p2p system. Really I was ashame in the place base on the kind of personality I am. I was embarrassed and left the goods behind. I was also thinking what really caused the rejections, was it because the price coming down that if they buy at that time, they will loss?  or they don't buy when the price is going down? What do you think really happened?

I guess the moral lesson here is not to trust any 3rd party such as CEX, and this might sound right, but fiat is still the king. I mean you still need to have some local currencies in your wallet just in case you need some emergency and so that you won't rely on your bitcoin as the means to sell it for that kind of situation.

I have been in that kind of situation before, the last time was 2019 wherein I need to sell because of emergency and I don't have the money in my pocket. And it took hours or days before I can make that transaction to a CEX and sell my bitcoin. So just always remember that you need to reserved some fiat money always in your pocket, just saying.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2023, 10:20:36 PM
So there goes all the speculation lol.  No one thought Dame would be headed there and all this talk about giannis moving.  So I just checked and now Bucks are a 4-1 favorite to win it.

Yeah, no one thought that Dame will land to the Bucks, the team wasn't even in the radar for the rumor team. And so it doesn't make sense at all in the beginning, but I guess it will be Dame time in Milwaukee moving forward.

I'm gonna go out and say I'm not sure if this is a win for the Bucks.  Losing jrue they are losing one of the best backcourt defenders in the NBA.  2028-2030 draft picks who knows, but if this gets giannis to stick around then it's a win.

We still have the Jokic lead Nuggets team as the defending champion. And we need someone outside of Giannis and Dame to beat that kind of team. They might still have Khris all along, but still a long way to go for them. So let's see if the odds are correct in putting them as 4-1 favorite to win.

859  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Buying Property With Crypto (Bitcoin) on: September 24, 2023, 09:38:20 AM
Are you able to buy a property with Bitcoin yet?

Im mainly looking to buy in Asia, Thailand, and Vietnam region.

Can I buy directly with a Bitcoin transaction or would this need to be converted into FIAT at some point?

There are real estate websites for buying property in Crypto but Im not sure how they facilitate that.

Perhaps they take the BTC then send the fiat themself and act as an escrow.

Would love the Bitcoin Talk opinions on this.
 Grin

I'm not really sure if you are aware about Elwar and his Seasteading. And you can search for other news and articles and see how it turns out.

I lived in the Philippines but I'm not sure if there is one, although I might be wrong. Might be better though if you really wanted to settle or retire on one of those places then just convert your money to their local fiat, in my opinion.
860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some questions and answers about Bitcoin in Bangladesh. on: September 24, 2023, 09:01:56 AM
Before we have the services of one of our members here, @Little Mouse Sell Bitcoin in Bangladesh. Buying BTC, for BDT (Bangladeshi Taka) 98tk per USD. But for now though, he just decided to close it for now. Or maybe you can PM him.

But as far as P2P though, yes, as per my experience, just be very careful when you used platforms such as Binance.  There are many scammers plowing on that exchange too. So you need to be very vigilant and not just released your bitcoin even in the other side says that he/she has sent the money already. You have to check your banks if that is where you agree or online wallets, before you released everything.
