I made enquiries from shansan on acquiring a loan about a month ago, but, I'd wanna break the monopoly this Time around.

When you applied for a loan from Shasan last month he did not approve you, indicating that you didn't qualify because you were not a Full Member at the time.  Have you requested a loan from him that was approved?

Hey shan,
I was planning to acquire a loan for my school project then pay installmentaly; tbh I dunno your rate and maybe if you'd accept but I'm not also certain yet I'm still pondering on all the intricacies and how to make it divible by 2 months
I also don't wanna tarnish my reputation; as I see alot of people do normally...lemme hear from you shan

Cheers
Sandra❣️
Thank you very much for applying on my lending thread. But I am sorry, I am not able to lend you any money without collateral as you are below full member. Hope you understand, thank you.

I didn't reply to your post previously since you were obviously in a defensive mode, but I was wondering exactly why you were being so defensive.  You stepped down as an escrow, and nobody made a big deal out of that as far as I know--and there's no reason to make it a big deal.  You're entitled to not participate in a project anymore for whatever reason, and though you're correct that those reasons are your business, I don't think anybody asked what they were.

I wasn't expecting a response, I don't need one.  I didn't expect a big deal to be made about it either, hoping for the exact opposite actually.  I suspect you misinterpreted my brevity for defensiveness.  I did want to correct something you said about sharing private keys, that's not gonna happen.  Realistically, I'm just tired of this topic, I'm tired of shit-posting sig-spammers (oh, the irony) stirring up drama just to meet their quota, and not to mention all the brown-nosing going on is rather cringe worthy, as well.

My ex-girlfriend and I bought some wine, got a hotel room out of town then went to an art show / wine-tasting the next day.

Was she your ex-girlfriend at the time, or did the BareFoot at Motel 6 convince her you aren't The One?
865  Economy / Lending / Re: New Member, Seeking Loan - $150, 15% Interest on: October 05, 2022, 03:04:10 AM
I'm in the United States, specifically California.

$150 would be ideal, though $100 would suffice.

You're in California, and have to beg for $150 $100 on the interwebs?  I hear In-N-Out Burger is hiring.

Thanks for the instructions, that worked and went together rather quickly.  Were you able to emulate SD storage for exporting wallets?  Just curious how that would go importing into my wallet client.

Code:
sudo apt install qt6-base-dev qt6-wayland # may not be required; maybe try without and report back :)

Inconclusive.  I tried without it at first, but I got an error about my camera.  I went back and installed it, but the error persisted turning out to be a VM setting which I neglected.  I might try again, I need a fresh VM to compile another couple of packages soon.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 03, 2022, 11:50:11 PM
I got this weird itch to put silly money on Leicester tonight to make up for everything over the weekend... 18/10 looks impossible value at home against a promoted side, and Brendan needs his job.

Am I digging a hole for myself or making a smart recovery?
In hindsight, definitely a smart recover. This one was a freebie from the bookies, as I have been preaching whole week in Fantasy topic, Leicester is actually very good going forward and I expected them to score few tonight with big contribution from Maddison. What I did not expect was a clean sheet in the process, I went with 3:1 in the pool and even considered 4:2. If NFO managed to score that one goal all my bets would pass, including a crazy betbilder where I had Maddison to score 2 or more goals and bunch of other stuff.

I put a few sats on the underdog, but hey, that's what I do.

I hadn't had a chance to see Leicester to play so far this season, so I was mostly going by their record.  I've had the full match streaming while I finish up some work, and I agree.  In retrospect they look a lot better than their record would indicate.  They've had a rough schedule so far this year, they might provide some more bargains in the weeks to come.

Of course the question remains about today's match, is Leicester that good, or is Forest really that bad?  Forest was so dominant in EFL Championship last year, I really expected more of them.  Today they looked nothing like a Premier League team.

The odds of the Rams / Niners game had shifted to +1.5 Rams by the time I put my bet in. So I just took moneyline...

Rams Nation baby

I don't want to pick a result (it's too depressing if I think about it rationally,) so I just picked a bunch of likely props.

I have no trust in our offense after last week.  Garoppolo was atrocious and didn't really seem to care about it.  Brent Jones even went after Garoppolo for smiling and looking pretty on the sideline after that stupid safety saved him from throwing a pick-6.  But really, Brent was right.  Garoppolo seems to lack the ambition to really succeed.  It's like he has the fuel, but not the spark.

Hey, I just noticed all the 1-2 teams are playing 2-1 Teams this week!

Would be cool if it was all tied up at the end of the week! Cheesy

No, thank you.  Kiss

@ChiBitCTy, sorry bro, I'm looking at your bench an thanking my lucky stars.  Rashaad Penny, holy shit!  Anyway, my QB is making my DST suck fumunda cheese, thwarting my meagre effort to beat you.  What a shitty week for points, my whole team is sucking.  I need help at every position.

Speaking of Penny, who took the over on Seahawks @ Detroit?  Roll Eyes

Bonus football today.  I kinda like these London games being on the east coast.  West coast US that's 630 in the morning a little early lol.  But for me there is football from 930am to 12pm.  Complete washout of a day on the east coast so perfect day for football Smiley

I wake up early anyway, but in all honesty I was hoping the Manchester derby (Premier League Soccer) would be broadcast.  Nope, the NFL has a lot of clout with US TV providers, and I'm sure they don't want the broadcast competition.

Have you guys noticed all the fat gold-chains in stands?  Do people London think all Americans dress like Gangsta Rappers, lol?
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 01, 2022, 05:42:17 PM
Liverpool could not defend for their lives either. We know Trent is terrible at the back, but you can't blame him for failing to cover up the CB from a RB position every fcking game. He's already in the media for failing to stop that first goal, but nobody is talking about how awful VDJ has been for the past couple of games.

Liverpool and Southampton screwed up my five-game parlay.  I really expected the Saits to handle Everton at home, but LFC!?!?  WTF?

naysayer here,, told you so  Lips sealed  We've talked about Salah a few times in the other thread, the guy lost his mojo after Afcon and he still can't find it. Another [predictable] dissapointing performance. Trent, abysmal. VVD with yet another disaster weekend. Arsenal next week. Liverpool's Top 4 hopes are slowly fading away

I missed the match, no coverage in my location so I'm still waiting for the recap video.  I was aghast when I saw the score.  LFC is better than this, but I don't imagine they're going to be able to salvage much out of this season.  With the World Cup about to start, the top clubs will be struggling to juggle their super-stars that are committed to their national teams.  It wouldn't surprise me to see a couple normally-mid-table teams make it into the top 5 this year.  Brighton has certainly been taking advantage of the situation.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 01, 2022, 01:48:46 PM
Nice!  I love it when a weekend starts out with an exact prediction, and a winning bet!

I wasn't as concerned as Welsh the lineup, I don't mind seeing Saliba defending.  But, specifically Gabriel Jesus has been a great addition to bolster the attack.  The Gunners are looking like the real deal.  I don't want to jinx it but it's been a pretty exciting season so far.

I'm also torn about Chelsea @ Crystal Palace.  Chelsea is obviously the better club, but CP can be so unpredictable.  They took a point from Anfield, and even scored two goals against City.  I might take a tie for this one just because I can really see it going either way.

876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Installing a Full Node under Linux on: September 30, 2022, 08:47:37 PM
~

Yes, the chainstate and the blocks directories will transfer from one node to another.  However, you'll still need to synchronize the new install on computer2, and if you're using a HDD, that will be slow anyway.  Once upon a time I tried to install core on an RPi with a HDD plugged into one of the USB ports.  IIRC it took over three weeks to synchronize, and that was with another local node specified by addnode, so download speeds weren't an issue.  Also, if I recall the blockchain was around 360GB at the time, quite a bit less than it is right now.

Another action that can lead impatience with a slow HDD is importing addresses.  Read speeds on HDDs are faster than wright speeds, so it's less of an issue, but it's still noticeably slower than a node running on a SSD.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 30, 2022, 08:14:56 PM
This is an unfortunate event not only for Tua, but for the NFL as a whole.

I don't give a shit if the kid ever plays football again.  There are far more important things in life, like being coherent enough to watch your children grow up, and teach them how to ride a bike.  If it turns out that the Dolphins knew of a head injury from Sunday's game, and then let him start on Thursday, heads (and a lot dollars) will roll.  I have no patience or tolerance for those who'll put productivity above human safety.  Nothing else matters.  Even if it turns out that the stumbling last Sunday was a result of a back injury, that is a dereliction of duty by the coaching staff.

We've all been injured before, and we all know of how an injury can cause us to change our mechanics when doing the simplest things.  Washing dishes can exacerbate a back injury, let alone being body slammed.

Unfortunately the culture of football also ingrains into the young men that injuries are a part of the game, and if you can't play through your injuries you're not tough enough.  This needs to change.  The other thing that needs to change is defenses specifically targeting injuries when tackling another player.  We saw this last Thursday night when Herbert was playing with sore ribs.  We even saw it a few plays before Tupou body-slammed Tua.  Tupou went for Tua's ankle, again targeting a specific area he knew was causing Tua trouble.  That's just bullshit and shouldn't be tolerated.  Defensive players who do that should be ejected from games, and possibly banned from the league.

Unfortunately these types of discussions have happened regularly for decades that I can remember.  I remember similar discussions when Joe Montana was suffering from back injuries when he still played for the Niners in the late 80's.  Whenever something tragic happens the topic is high on everyone's radar, but a few months later it's forgotten about.  I know the league has been making changes over time to combat injuries, specifically head injuries, but these changes seem to come slowly, if at all.
878  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core is not syncing well on: September 30, 2022, 07:34:08 PM
Don't waste your time. Check his feedback page. He is just a troll wasting people's time and coming up with bullshit arguments. You won't be able to fix his problem. He said it's not synchronizing. It depends on System power (Ram/CPU/SSD Speed). So, if he waits for a few minutes and expects it to synchronize. It's not possible.

This is probably the OP's last ditch effort to earn a single merit.  He is under the impression that only people who've earned merit will be given non-collateralized loans, which he's been desperately trying to obtain for about six months now.  This guy is nothing but a common troll, trying to scam pennies to compensate for the shitty accounts he was suckered into buying.
879  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.3.0 Relased on: September 30, 2022, 05:32:10 PM
OK, I get that part.
but where do I use it in the electrum desktop wallet?

If you're using Windows you should be able to start Electrum, go to the playground site, click on the link labeled "LNURL-pay," and the invoice will populate the "Send" tab in Electrum client.  This assumes that your OS is set to associate the Electrum client with links that start with bitcoin: or lightning:.

Instead of left-clicking on the link in the Playground site, you can right-click, copy link address, then paste that into the "Pay To" field on the "Send" tab in the Electrum client.  This will need to be done if your OS doesn't have any client software associated with bitcoin links.

ETA; The automated functions will only work if you've installed Electrum using the electrum-4.3.2-setup.exe, not the stand-alone version.
880  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.3.0 Relased on: September 30, 2022, 05:14:00 PM
Sorry, but where is this link  "clicking on LNURL-pay"  I dont see it in the UI.

You won't find the link in the Electrum UI, the link I was referring to is displayed on the playground site that I provided a link to: https://lnurl.fiatjaf.com/

That site produces a variety of LNURL links, one of them is labeled "LNURL-pay."  It's just a way to test if the links can be used with your wallet.
