901  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2021, 03:50:38 PM
Can it sustain the growing population though, I mean there isn't bitcoin for everyone in the world to go around, not to mention that there are a lot of lost coins, I like the idea of one currency for the whole world, the only problem is scaling and every government agreeing on one currency.
The idea of everyone holding a full bitcoin is bullshit, there is a reason for Satoshi keeping a limit for the amount of coins in circulation and it means that you can have any sub division of a bitcoin. There are lot of lost coins and then there are a million coins supposedly owned by Satoshi which is not in circulation and the number of coins lost to scammers and some of them are still idle, bitcoin is the universal coin and you do not need a government to agree on anything, all you need to do is to start using it for global transaction.
902  Economy / Reputation / Re: KICKICO-KickEx:Legit business or scam in making? on: April 09, 2021, 10:54:56 PM
~
If I remember correctly their plan was to distribute 888,888 KICK to 1 million addresses, with the hope that some will swallow the bait and either buy more KICK  or register on their exchange in order to unlock them.
The bait actually worked and when i was going through my old wallet which were empty i found one with $400 odd and was checking how it came to my wallet but never found an answer and now after seeing this thread i knew i made a mistake as i already transferred ETH to that wallet thinking i could send and then came to know about the restrictions  Undecided.

So anyone here tried to unlock the coins and how much dollars worth you need to trade for the coins to be unlocked.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Drug Options for Gamblers' Disorderlyness? on: April 09, 2021, 09:54:07 PM
I had heard many of my friends who are into gambling complain to me about gambling disorder but couldn’t understand what that means until recently when a close associate got into the same mess and need help, but I was helpless because I couldn’t give the right answers to his question. This friend is almost turning into something else and needs help.
If you know someone that needs help because of his addiction then it is better to take him to a doctor or a therapist and he can prescribe some antidepressants to help him out. It is a problem some neglect to take medicine and it can create huge problems in their personal life and if he is willing to go through that then he will be fine.
904  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 2.3 bitcoins were stolen from me! on: April 09, 2021, 08:20:33 PM
~
Since 2019, I want to find a way to get my bitcoins back. I've been looking for my bitcoins for 2 years now. If I do not find them, then I will end my life. I will never get my bitcoins back.
So what have you done in the past two years and did you follow the coins and did you inform the exchanges about your situation so that if your coins end up in those exchanges they might help you out even though it is really rare.

Not sure what you have done to get the coins back and i am sure you are well aware of the situation that rarely you get the coins when you are conned and if you are looking for condolence by posting two years late you will get that, really sad to hear these situation but there is nothing that can be done other than following the trail and trying to identifying where your coins are held.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 09, 2021, 04:27:34 PM
The only bad thing is Pollard is on the crease...
Pollard did not do anything, who was the bowler who bowled the last over, Harshal Patel i am seeing his for the first time and the way in which he bowled was incredible and RCB surprised with Washington Sundar opening the batting and i was a great move as he has the ability to swing the bat and it looks like they are open to experimentation and they might try to win the match.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Có ai có thể giải thích tại sao XRP đang bơm không? on: April 08, 2021, 10:43:10 PM
XRP pumps are because they won the lengthy SEC litigation. XRP was pre-pumped with the winning news before the news was made public. Looks like the big hands took action before there was good news about XRP.
Along with the good news that XRP has, the BTC Domain is declining rapidly. Cash flow is pouring into altcoins, TRX and XRP have increased in price because they have been held at price for so long.
I am not sure which news you are following, i could not find any article that says that the SEC lawsuit is settled and it is not going to be an easy settlement even if that happens, the report i can find today is that the Ripple CTO claiming that Ripple and Bitcoin are the same which is bullshit to its core, you cannot even compare a centralized token with bitcoin and it looks like he is just blabbering thinking it could convince the SEC  Tongue.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 08, 2021, 09:45:54 PM

You can't blame the players for that. The contract salaries in South Africa are really low and from next year onwards the cricket board has announced that only 4 out of the 11 slots in the playing XI will be selected on the basis of merit. And for the players, cricket is like any other profession. They should prioritize the IPL, since the salaries are much higher than what they get from the annual contracts. And from what I have heard, the cricket board doesn't care much about the performance of the team, as long as they are able to get the funds from the ICC and keep the quota system for selection.
I am not blaming the cricket players for that, the cricket board should take these decisions and if they are giving these permissions then they will understand the hard facts later, the franchise cricket is popping up left and right and the players are needed everywhere and if that continues we might not see international cricket like we used to see, every 4 years we might see the world cup and then round the clock you will see franchise cricket being played .
908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good for investing? on: April 08, 2021, 09:11:08 PM
XRP is one of the worst coins out there. Don't poke it with a stick Cheesy You might think that it's ok because it pumps from time to time but these pumps are from manipulation. They aren't natural.
Mostly all the coins in the market are pumping hard and these investors does not even care whether it is a shit coin or not, if you find a coin that is not rallied in this bull run you can test your luck and from what i have seen any coin that is left out from the initial pump all gathered momentum and now every coin in the market rallied irrespective of the project.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: April 08, 2021, 12:43:59 PM
With the results we are seeing from One FC in the past where UFC prospects were defeated and today Demetrious Johnson lost his first fight in his career via knockout, it looks like they have some serious competition as many of the UFC champions who signed which i thought was a good decision so that they could dominated the division but they were instead defeated.

Eddie Alvarez was on the fight card and he was disqualified, not seen much of a foul to get the fight disqualified and may be referees are strict over there.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beware of the Frauds , how pandemic is affecting gambling negatively on: April 07, 2021, 11:59:30 PM
They activities grew much during the pandemic because they know that during this period, a lot of people will be so willing to fall for them cause almost everyone are trying to seek a new experience from online. Just like every sxammer, they know when to pitch their rent and draw more customers.
Scammers are luring in the dark for a long time and it is not just the pandemic that produced more scammers may be some are getting more time to look into things and get into trouble. I am getting spammed in my social media pages with fake bitcoin investment plans and then in Telegram messages posing as investment analyst and investor and they tend to give you advice and these scams are going on for years and i has become a nuisance and now whenever random people starts chatting about cryptocurrency and bitcoin i simply block them Grin.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 07, 2021, 10:39:07 PM
There were a few negatives, such as over-dependance on Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman in the batting department and the poor performance of the middle order, but overall the team performed really well.
Babar Azam is consistent for Pakistan just like Virat Kohli is for India and Steve Smith for Australia and Fakhar Zaman played well and they need to strengthen their middle order.

South Africa is no longer considered as one of the top teams in international cricket, but it can be quite tough to beat them when they have the home advantage. Credit should also be given to the Pakistani pace bowlers, for their exceptional performance.
South Africa was not playing this series to win and in the final ODI was just to play against new players as their full strength team left for the IPL and they had to replace them in a series win situation while Pakistan is playing with their full strength team.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: April 06, 2021, 12:14:25 AM
There's a lot of deal and negotiations that didn't happen because of the pandemic so Pacquaio is really scheduled for a fight one or thrice more once the pandemic situation got handled or if the fight is possible to push through. He's almost a done deal before with McGregor but the latter loses on his last fight making Team Pacquaio found another opponent.
If team Manny Pacquiao is waiting for Conor McGregor to win again then he might need to wait for a much longer time as i do not see him winning even in the rematch against Dustin. It is a fact that Conor McGregor has the potential to attract audiences and even if he lost a fight in MMA does not mean he cannot attract a crowd and that is the show they are looking forward and he will earn more money than facing any boxer.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 05, 2021, 11:51:39 PM
Anyone having fun reading twitter exchange betwen Aleksandar Rakic and Thiago Santos? Smiley
Santos is really not happy after losing the fight and all 3 rounds in UFC 259 one month ago with unanimous decision (28 - 29, 28 - 29, 27 - 30), and strikes are never telling the full story anyway.
I forgot the fact that Thiago Santos fought twice after the Jon Jones fight and i thought Thiago Santos fought really well against him and have the potential to defeat him in a rematch but after that he was injured and now he has three losses in a row and i forgot the fact that he was fighting without much hype and his last fight the fight metric shows that Thiago Santos won the striking battle but i have to watch the fight again as it was a really close fight and i would like to see a rematch between the two.
914  Economy / Economics / Re: Miners Hodling Rates Increases. on: April 05, 2021, 11:25:47 PM
Also, there are so many miners and not everyone is holding so there is always some supply being thrown into the market which keeps things stable and with more and more investors and traders coming into the market, ultimately it won't matter too much about the miners holding coins.
I have no clarity on this regard, how you got these information that miners are holding the coins and some are selling them. There were reports in the past about PayPal approaching miners and collecting the coins from them at a margin and there will be huge OTC sales happening with freshly minted coins.

It is pretty logical to assume that if these huge miners are not selling their coins it will create a disparity in the market but i do think that these miners will be booking their profit to break even from the huge investment they made and pay the bills rather than holding the coins indefinitely.
915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is pumping now. on: April 05, 2021, 11:04:07 PM
It all looked like a plan to me, first to defame xrp and throw it down like garbage and then again take it back up in the sky. It went to $0.365 but it is more than 2.5 times of that price now. I thought xrp is dead and nobody will buy it now, it will be buried away and forgotten but looks like the time of xrp has come now. Happy for xrp holders and investors who didn't panic sell.
I was also surprised that the price rallied and i am not sure about the exact reason and i was also under the impression that the price would not rally because of the lawsuit they are facing and i did not find anything else to support the rally. The market is pumping every coin in the market irrespective of the issues they are facing.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs everywhere ! on: April 05, 2021, 07:20:40 PM
why are NFTs adopted by more and more projects in the world of crypto? because they want to ride the trend / hype of the moment and somehow increase their earnings, when the hype will be over no one will incorporate the nft in their projects anymore
The hype train will force people to include NFT in the projects we see for sometime and once that trends dies we will hear about another hype dominating the market and eventually a few projects will remain. I am not sure what to make of these hypes as the trend keeps changing every few months and i am not even getting the time to study them.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many people think that Bitcoin is not a currency with practical uses on: April 05, 2021, 03:41:22 PM
I do have friends that still waiting for price to fall to buy some since the adoption physically were not enough they still think the price will go deeper in time.
Since i am active in the bitcoin market for a long time there were many friends in the past who advised me to be careful and now everyone invested during the last rally and now many are waiting for the market to go down so that they can invest further and now my advice to them is to never invest as you can loose your money  Grin.

For anyone doubting the practical use, just point them to PayPal and what they enabled last week, even though i never use them because of obvious reasons to cite an example you can use their name  Cheesy.
918  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to make you free on: April 04, 2021, 11:53:49 PM
Capitalism works because it enables society not just the rich as many think to label it and so I will always be looking for Bitcoin to enable all people to be more free then they would be otherwise if not for its existence.   If BTC doesnt help society I dont think it succeeds even if the price is higher it needs to keep improving efficiency in any way possible for sure.
For the most part what you are telling is true but capitalism to be successful you need to have a society with wealthy people who have the ability to invest or has the ability to procure loans and for that you need to provide guarantee by pledging assets and that is how you can compete in a market and when you mess up you end up in debt. When it comes to efficiency in bitcoin, the price has nothing to do with its efficiency and we are still in the initial process of developing it further and we might reach those levels in the future.
919  Economy / Economics / Re: The President creates a "Ministery of Extraterrestrial Affairs" on: April 04, 2021, 11:22:31 PM
~
This is no joke, Ortega, president of Nicaragua is the political leader of a country that is struggling with economic and social issues. Currently, they are having difficulties to even get enough COVID vaccines - perhaps no the only ones.

What seems to be an stupid idea is actually an attempt from the president to sell the idea of Nicaragua building a satellite for  a Chinesse company. This seems to be as realistic as the last promise about building a second "Panama Channel".
I am a bit confused, what are they planning to do with it. Is Nicaragua building a satellite for a Chinese company and do they have the resources to make them cheaper as they are known to make things cheaper. Coming to the terms you said, ultraterrestrial is related to paranormal activities if i am not wrong and it has nothing to do with outer space and satellite  Huh.

My guess is that the relatives of the president will be appointed in this strange ministry, just wasting tax payers money Grin .
920  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin mining in Texas - new trend - will Tesla follow on: April 04, 2021, 10:56:51 PM
Why should we think that Tesla would jump into a space where they are not interested, they invested heavily in bitcoin but that does not mean that they are willing to invest billion to set up a mining farm. The big mining farms that are active now might migrate to Texas and continue their mining process and we might see other miners showing interest as well.
