901  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Online gambling sites are rigged on: July 18, 2020, 07:42:24 PM

Provide proof so that we'd know which casino you are talking about. You can't just expect us to stop playing to all casinos we encounter all because you warned us you experienced the horrific losing streak of your life.

This thread is in scam accusation, you need to provide proof to whichever this gambling site is because its not normal to just accuse all of them.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin was hijacked and centralized on: July 18, 2020, 03:57:04 PM

Its not the kind of utility that he meant. Merchants accepting BTC is a kind utility that is from the outside of its blockchain. Ether for example does function as gas fees to every token to be sent to an address, thats a kind of utility within the ETH network.

Somehow there is a gran of truth to his claim. But one thing that is real in BTC is the security. So far its enough to build the ecosystem to run.

You'd have to ask what difference will it have if japans-largest-consumer-electronics-chain also accepts ETH and Brisbane airport also accepts ETH?
903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 18, 2020, 03:49:22 PM
There are some projects that are easy to see especially if the team didn't put any effort at least provide decent graphics to their ANN and bounty campaign thread. You can already see the team is just trying to grab some coins from anyone who thinks they are safe project.

But with the help of the scambusters in the forum, you'd probably be able to avoid those teams already.  We, bounty hunters, have experienced all these. Its time we learn the lesson to find out which ones are real and not.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OneCoin scam promoters found dead! on: July 17, 2020, 07:46:01 AM
Of all places in the world they plan to settle down in Mexico? That raised an eyebrow seriously, it's either these brothers are into drug cartels shit or they works for a drug cartel network or they played a member in the drug cartel ring that got them killed, I don't feel any pity because these guys ruined the lives of many and they felt no remorse

Probably the later. A member of chapo hitmen probably wants to launder their money but instead scammed by the Onecoin team. I'd like to know more of its investigation really so I hope there will be more of it. Funny turn of events.

If later this year we see new about Bitconnect team member's head found in the middle of the deset, its going to be another dot to connect that maybe they too had tried to scam blood money from the cartel.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OneCoin scam promoters found dead! on: July 17, 2020, 07:09:43 AM
Many aren't happy about this scumbags, they cheated many and still walk around as if they are the real inventor on this world, robing people of their money can easily get you killed if people know exactly what you looked like, they will surely want their revenge, nowadays people don't leave things for God to settle or do the justice anymore

Its known for criminal to go Mexico to escape authorities and enjoy the fortune they got but all they found was death.  This should be a lesson for the next scammers who are planning to do the same. It's not safe anymore because you will eventually found by someone who is looking for opportunities.

If crypto bounty hunters can become a real "BOUNTY HUNTER" who has the license to kill scammers and get paid, I'd be willing to take part.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Can decentralization lead the next phase of the economy? on: July 17, 2020, 06:42:33 AM
Very doubtful... Our world is still ruled by centralized tought systems and the groups behind them won't let a decentralized force take control as the currently centralized domination model is very confortable for these groups.
Actually decentralization is already going away: nowadays you can't do many things on crypto sites without showing your personal data, sending your documents and your phone number to fulfill the regulators requirements. Decentralization is becoming a kind of utopya as I see.

Decentralization hasn't won anything yet but we see more bitcoin users are already willing to give up their KYC documents to every centralized exchange. I don't normally see these kinds of bitcoin users back in 2015.

This is why Defi comes up in the space now, it had improved a lot though it struggles hard since the time of DAO hacking, it slowly developed and somehow we might be seeing decentralization taking over in the next phase, there could be a light if we just go cotinue going to the tunnel.
907  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we headed for 250k btc in 12-18 months? on: July 16, 2020, 07:29:35 PM

$250k seems very unrealistic but I would still like the price to go that up of course.

Its just that it needs more newcomers in crypto to join into this market and add more money in the economy. Defi hype may not be enough to break the ATH so without a major change in the crypto status, its hard to achieve it unless paypal will really be doing what was rumored that they'd allow paypal users to but BTC.
908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OneCoin scam promoters found dead! on: July 16, 2020, 04:34:08 PM
Scammers who failed to repent will get served at one point, they are wise and stupid at the same time, they should be wise enough to saw this coming because doing bad things to humans like yourself will only brings you painful death, I don't pity scammers because they don't pity their victims too

Justice is served then. I can also put it that way. Who knows what had happened there, it could be someone they've convinced to send money to them and later found out his money is gone.

They were stuffed in a bag and thrown which could mean they were in custody, probably tortured to send back the victim's money.
But of all places, they are in Mexico?
909  Economy / Economics / Re: Can decentralization lead the next phase of the economy? on: July 16, 2020, 04:00:35 PM

We all sees things differently when it comes to seeing crypto being decentralized. There may be projects we can consider being decentralize when it comes to its consensys but when it comes to its market and being listed to regulated CEX the whole reference will change in a way because we are not free at all for funds can even be frozen by authorities. Some of us will not be in this kind of market and they'd excluded XMR already.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 15, 2020, 06:42:31 PM
Some interesting news I found today in preparation for upcoming fight night.
Sportsbook FanDuel refunded anyone who placed a bet on Max Holloway in figth against Volkanovski!
We all know that judges did a bad job, but it is amazing to see what FanDuel did.
https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2020/07/ufc-251-fanduel-refunds-max-holloway-bettors-after-loss-to-alexander-volkanovski?taid=5f0ebe9044c9310001f9314a

I never saw something like this before, and to bad they don't accept bitcoin and crypto payments  Cheesy

Thats nice of FanDuel to do that. Isn't thi the first in the history?
I guess  its fair even Dana acknowledges Holloway's win. He really make sure to have a good distance from Volkanovski but still within his striking. I don't see significant damage done to Holloway during the fight. Most of the comments seem to have said the same thing, judges just made a terribe mistake. I wouldnt expect other platforms will follow though.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Projects on: July 15, 2020, 03:17:11 PM
Defi is hyped and if you are an investor then Defi is best to quickly gain good profit. There have been a lot of scams lately in this sphere and it is always advised to research before investing. For me these 5 Defi tokens are the best investment opportunity.
I can't see this link, but in my experience the DeFi projects are being hyped and it could explode at any time. These projects only grow at the first stage and then the price keeps falling, be careful if you want to invest in it.

https//cointikka.com/top-5-defi-tokens-with-highest-roi/

Thats the link where it goes. It lists AAVE, KYBER, BANCOR, ELROND and SYNTHETIX

We can always say it hype after all we all want the price to dip all the time. But whatever how you wanna look at it, their prices are rising including the ones from other platforms. The popular one is the Synthetix due to traders can play leverage trading without submitting KYC this is a big plus.

912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ETERBASE: Europe's Premier Digital Asset Exchange on: July 15, 2020, 02:56:45 PM

I haven't logged for awhile in the exchange but I hold some tokens there staking. Just today I go into my email and read this message. But why is this message not posted here in the forum?  There had been a lot of swapping n this project, its getting bullshit. Is the Swapping done already?  I'm surprised about the ratio of the swap.

They don't use this forum as official form of communication...you have to follow their telegram, twitter or medium channels
Forum is usually us users reposting info from other sources

I realize that they are not coming back here to update bitcoitnal kusers but is ths swapping true?  I lost interest already. I didnt even go there to fill my KYC. But I hope if I get to login there one day I can still see my funds. They have been doing alot of swapping from ERC to BEP.

ETERBASE wants to create a faster and more secure trading environment for everyone. I saw interesting Referral Bonus on the website. As mentioned in Negative Trading Fees, up to 50% of the fees generated by trade are rewarded to the Maker of the order if they are a Premium 9 Member.

Has there been report like how much if they ever grow? This coinmarketcap page doesn't still have any information https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/eterbase/
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Record Revenue for Blockchain Gaming Company During Pandemic on: July 15, 2020, 02:48:05 PM
Its still not that huge though. For the first 4 months since the start of covid19 lockdown is just $7.34M but at least it's growing. They should have mentioned how much revenue is recorded before the lockdown so we can also see how much growth.

Everything we do this lockdown is online including gambling. It wouldn't be surprising about the revenue growth amidst the lockdown because people will just look for entertainment.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think online casinos can effectively prevent underage gambling? on: July 14, 2020, 07:34:02 PM
...
This is why the role of parents is very important in supervising their children...
incidents where minors play online gambling is not new, I once went to an internet cafe when I was in high school, there I saw a lot of children playing online gambling, I couldn't forbid them because they didn't have the right to do it, I think only their parents can manage their children.

You'd only shame them in that case.  I still think that when kids start gambling, they already think they are not kids and it should be their parents that will just do whatever is needed.

As for Casinos, I like it not to ask for KYC still. We're the ones who enjoy this type of anonymity right now, I hope all will do till the end of time.  If my kid plays on online casinos then I guess its my job to just monitor and tell him its not his time yet and hes not gonna get a dime from me if he continues.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 14, 2020, 05:54:19 PM
Looking back at UFC 251 we can see that it generated around 1.3 millions in pay-per-views buys.
Some people expected to see more PPV then fight Khabib vs. McGregor (2.4 million ppv), but it was not the case.
Record is not broken Smiley
If the presence of Jorge Masvidal could pull 1.3 million pay per view buys then it will be the biggest pay per view this year and it is much bigger than UFC 100 and UFC 200 which is incredible as Eddie Alvarez v Conor McGregor was having 1.3 million pay per buys and no wonder Jorge Masvidal was demanding more money because he understands the value he is making for the UFC.

last ufc i made lots ufc after conrovirus is nice place to make some money if your smart
How smart were you?.

So how much did Dana give to Masvidal for this PPV?
He understands his value for sure knowing he is popular.  I believe there will still be talks about whether he gets some if he won and just this amount if lose. I actually thought he'd win this match over Usman but Usman had prepared a plan in taking the fight down to the ground.
916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell me a reason why I should use online wallet. on: July 14, 2020, 04:28:01 PM
Argument is not the solution just say him these are the advantages and disadvantages of having online and offline wallet. If he can understand good for him else experience will teach him which may not be the easy way and you wanted to avoid this so told him about having offline wallet. To limited extent, you can keep it in web wallet just like you use frequently to make payments, for gambling or if you are a trader then require it in online wallet.

Exactly! You can't convince a person if he doesn't want to. Just enumerate the pros and cons and up to him what will his actions be. At least you didn't fail to tell him about your side. Sooner or later, he will realized about your advice. So be patient with users who want to do it on their way.

Its normal for a person to just practice what they only know that seem right in their perspective. If he sees its more convenient to use online than synchronizing a bitcoin core wallet for hours I guess it's his view about it.

To be honest I rarely use the bitcoincore wallet I have in my ubuntu, its just that it has to sync for hours before I can make transactions. This is why I move some funds to an electrum wallet which I don't have to wait for hours. Having big funds on online wallet isn't a good practice though.
917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Projects on: July 14, 2020, 09:14:31 AM
Hi, im new with OIKOS
anybody could advice how to buy this coin and safe keeping
appreciate for the advice

I did try it and invested some of my TRX there while I joined the first signature campaign they have. I still have the OKS never sold them. The minter works but it gets congested sometimes. The dev team said its because of the TRON grid, its very timely since the time TRON upgrades to TRON4.

Oikos platform is more like Bidao like OP describes, you synthetic assets I guess will bring crypto to another level.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: TimeCoinProtocol - decentralized sharing economy protocol on: July 14, 2020, 08:26:53 AM

I liked what the team is doing now
at least these are solutions that can change the economy
I hope that the project will be fully implemented and the team will clearly follow the road map

I can get a good income !
I think this will be something important for early investors !

being a newbie here in the forum, are you by any chance a newbie also in crypto? how can you be so sure that you get good income from this project? what do you think are the possible reasons that this will click with early investors? i have seen a lot of promising projects, good team, well-written whitepaper but in the end, they were just abandoned by their respective dev team. so don't conclude this early that you will get what you need from this project.

If this bumping continues without anything done like a bounty thread created, this project will just be buried in a pile of ANN threads. I'm an EOS fan myself. I have some tokens and if this project is running on EOS, would this mean that Timeprotocol goes through the process like the incubator in which the Blockone incubator will probe the project?
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Opinion Needed] What do you want to see in a gambling site review? || 2 on: July 13, 2020, 05:35:02 PM

If you are reviewing a casino that is found in bitcointalk then maybe adding the ANN thread they have here in the forum will likely be good for the casino. This will also be transparent so that anyone will also see what other people say about them and not just the information you provide. Maybe also the promo of the casinos and whether they allow bankroll investment.
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Art of Exploiting vs the Bad Habit of Scamming on: July 13, 2020, 09:46:10 AM

LAngel situation is funny but I will take it as an exploit but he should be paid for the winnings he got.

But then the casino investigated and the situation changed because it was found out the BTC he bet is actually from the casino itself. If it weren't investigated and probably he won just 0.5 to 1BTC, there wouldn't be any digging about his history but he will get paid.

Anyway, exploiting and scamming has a fine line between them. An organization will likely pay the person who exploits the bug or even hire them for being a genius to which the casino also painted him as a genius. Now the casino is more prepared for that kind of exploit.
