921  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CONFESSION TIME: I SOLD TOO EARLY on: December 26, 2020, 11:59:10 PM
I like such posts a bit where there's nothing but regret.
I mean, I was the one who didn't buy early and so I regret the same thing and will regret to it forever. I even had the chance to keep my BTC when I was earning like BTC0.4 weekly through a signature campaign when BTC was like just $200 or less. I didn't keep it and just sold whatever I used to get, sometimes gambled. It was a different BTC and I had a different mindset, I was treating BTC as my salary but never knew that this salary would become a life-changing amount some day. And now, there's nothing but regret. Still I hope I can make it some day and hold one full BTC. Smiley
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Year 2021 XRP Price 1 Dollar on: December 26, 2020, 11:52:18 PM
Hmm. $1. Increased, huh?
I believe XRP had a great run until SEC interfered and filed a lawsuit against XRP which dropped both the confidence of investors as well as the price of XRP. I don't think it'll be any easy for XRP to survive this and hold longer, it has turned many investors gray while others are still speculating on it. Though, I don't see this $1 opportunity in XRP anymore after this lawsuit has come into existence.

I've also received this airdrop and happy that I at least got a small gift from Santa on Christmas. But, even after having it available on Binance Smart Chain, why does it ask to compulsorily withdraw it from Binance to trust wallet first? And even after the withdrawal is processed already, why are there no funds yet in our wallets?
924  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Far is GrayScale & Other Institutions Going to FOMO Bitcoin? Poll! on: December 26, 2020, 09:56:04 PM
Well, buying alone an asset is simply greed. That's because I've seen many cases where people tried to become the "big bull" of the markets and ended up getting their capital dwindled to such levels which lead them to either get under debts or go bankrupt. If this is happening and more institutions join hands with GrayScale and come up with the same strategy, I believe that BTC will be nothing but a centralized puppet of these huge players who've got almost everything in their favor (even Banks are in their favor) and will go out of reach for the lower and middle class.
925  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wow, The Best Crypto Christmas 🌲 Ever! on: December 26, 2020, 07:44:29 PM
I don't see why involvement in futures would make them more harmful. Cash settled futures can't lead spot markets because there is no arbitrage mechanism, no way to generate parallel supply on spot exchanges. As for Bakkt, there is no leverage involved.

I agree that leverage trading can't lead spot markets but it holds its own importance and I've also seen sometimes that leverage has had a huge difference in price from the spot markets (many times) and it also dragged the spot markets towards the direction it was heading. Futures traders have their own ideology while spot traders trade with a different perspective and it's true that it's the spot that leads futures, but sometimes we may notice some huge gaps between market prices and the prices ongoing in futures.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 26, 2020, 07:33:28 PM
I think it is also in the way the money is measured, gambling takes different forms depending on the country you live on, for example in many countries most people gamble in established casinos and it is easy to get data out of them so countries with that gambling culture will be up in lists like this, but in countries in which people have the culture of making gambles on their own then this money most likely is not going to be reflected in statistics like this and it may be why India does not appear on any of the lists given by the OP.

You're absolutely right as even I asked some of my colleagues on this and got the same answer from them. I believe that the amount of population we've got, we must have been there in the list but yeah, as gambling is not legal here (just for the sake of saying it that way), I believe that the numbers in which people are betting online (because it's easy for a person to hide his/her identity and stay anonymous while betting online) can't be fetched as everything stays under the hood and it's not an easy task to just gather a person's identity and the amounts they've put on their bets. I've seen many Indians playing Blackjack with more than 1k USD per bet each time.
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Far is GrayScale & Other Institutions Going to FOMO Bitcoin? Poll! on: December 26, 2020, 07:18:23 PM
Though I believe that the bull run is huge, you should forget that in this market, there aren't alone bulls but bears too and these bears need nothing but USDT to short it down with full power. Just think that when there's extreme optimism, it feels like we'll just touch sky high and then a sudden dump. You simply can't blame GrayScale for the same if the same value-occupied company or even of higher level just attacks BTC with too many short positions which sends it under $20k in no time (just like we saw in 2017). It's not necessary that if retail investors can't move it, other giant companies will just "buy" BTC. It'll be a big bang between these giants and we're set to see a big battle in near future, this is just the beginning.
928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wow, The Best Crypto Christmas 🌲 Ever! on: December 25, 2020, 11:11:57 PM
Of course they sell, they just don't panic sell or constantly flip positions the way retail investors do. They ease in and out of positions to reach their target portfolio allocations.

TBH, their sells could be much more harmful than retailers because they also have positions in futures and guess what, it doesn't take too much pain for them to just push/pull the markets whenever they wish to, just to liquidate retailers and fetch away their money. I believe that enough volume has now been gathered by them over many different exchanges because whenever I see a move at Binance, the same moment it starts to dance on other exchanges as well.
929  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Pharmacist scammed me on: December 25, 2020, 10:55:36 PM
Again with the fucking telegram. Stop making this forum the world police. You got scammed on telegram - report it to telegram's default trust or whatever.

I guess they've got nothing like that over there.  Roll Eyes
There are many scams taking place over there and people simply change their username and even names and scam another victim (yet, there's a way they can be checked with their first ever name put on their profile but who gives a fuck, oh well!).
There's nobody over there to help, except the report button but even that's worthless because it doesn't take you more than a phone number to create a new account and start doing your job again.
930  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merry Christmas to all fellow Bitcoiners on: December 25, 2020, 10:35:17 PM
Merry Christmas everyone. Smiley
I thank God for giving us the opportunity to remain in his world, and see the changes taking place in every other field there. I believe we're yet to see some big ups and downs in the upcoming year but extremely grateful to the Bitcoin community for being there always to support each other as well as Satoshi for creating such nice thing which brought many of us together under one roof. I wish extreme success to BTC and believe that it's going to break all the records ever set by any assets of this world in terms of gains. Wink
931  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Pharmacist scammed me on: December 25, 2020, 06:21:14 PM
@OP, I believe The Pharmacist have got a reputation here for years and he'd not just ruin it for the sake of some bucks. TBH, if it's PayPal, why don't you report that transaction you've made to the scammer? Your funds will possibly be reverted if he didn't redeem them if you've used "Goods and Services" in your payment and you can claim that you didn't receive anything.
932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I start scalping with a 500$? on: December 21, 2020, 10:19:25 PM
Why don't you simply buy a specific token and wait for 2 months instead? What's making you to "scalp" these markets? It's not possible to scalp here because if you'll lose, you'll lose more as you'll just try your best to find opportunities every now and then and so, chances of making losses to your portfolio become higher.
933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you Interested in trading? on: December 21, 2020, 09:57:50 PM
Isn't it cool to just follow the best one and become rich with that? If you're asking them to trade, then they should listen to themselves at first and 2nd is, they must never trade when they've got extreme mood swings. It helps in losing less or not to over-react when you lose.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why? on: December 21, 2020, 06:56:06 PM
I believe that a token needs lots of marketing as well as a working team behind it, promoting it everywhere and have continuous debates on it to have it come into everyone's eyes and get caught. If you want to advertise it, why don't you come up with a signature campaign instead and pay everyone in the token you guys are willing to promote?
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 20, 2020, 11:59:42 PM
Quite surprised to see how India is not on the list there. I mean, every single year I used to go to my grandmother's home to celebrate the festival of Diwali and we people used to see our elders playing rummy and teen patti and what not. It's unbelievable that others don't play with their money?  Huh
Is it about the countries or is it about the average amount of money a person uses over gambling each month?
936  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH then correction of 35%+ on: December 20, 2020, 10:57:21 PM
@OP, Least I could see there coming whenever the time of dump would be, $19500 and if even worst, then it will be near $16750.

So your target of 35% will be touched, not as an exact number but to its nearest and that too won't be so quick but slowly as the money is settling things for BTC in such a way that it is now looking to range itself higher.
937  Economy / Economics / Re: Tether's market cap is huge! (usdt) on: December 20, 2020, 10:40:50 PM
Tether to me seems to be the scam of the century. I believe there are way too many better stablecoins like Binance's USD (BUSD) to convert into, but as I can see that it can't be used on too many websites (especially on gambling and casino sites which are mainly targeted by USDT users as well as probably no direct purchases) is the reason here why tether has been a big hit.

938  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - 500k Holiday Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: December 20, 2020, 10:30:18 PM
Getting paid out when 16 points ahead is a major major deal in NBA and you have to realize how big it is. In NBA world there are a lot of times when a team is leading 16+ points in a game and can end up losing, it happens more frequently than you may realize. Obviously more often than not the team that leads the game by that much margin usually doesn't lose, but I have seen probably 10 games a year that ends up losing after leading that big, which means this is more common than you may think and they are giving you a free result.

--snip--

Leave NBA aside, I watched NCAAB (College Basketball) and I can say that flll their gaps pretty quickly nowadays it was shocking to see such teams not reaching my total expected goals though. With lots of drama and insights, the game ended and the lines ended in a loss. It's not a good thing to bet nowadays as everything has been turning and taking changes immediately during a game, so it's advised to only bet what you can afford to lose.
939  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like the crypto will be today what the stock market was 90s on: December 20, 2020, 08:07:12 PM
The major reason behind such level of surge (if it happens in near future) will be to add some extra marketcap which will take the collective marketcap of crypto to over trillion dollars, and it will also increase investor confidence ratio in crypto markets. I believe it will all be done to add more capital to these markets in order to lure other big institutions to enter crypto with full confidence that they'll be able to settle their sales whenever they want to, once they see super high volume available to sell it. You'll soon see a 5k-10k BTC put in a range of every few dollars on exchanges just to stop the volatility.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Adam Back the real Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 20, 2020, 06:34:08 PM
I think we need to stop looking for who real Satoshi is. Be grateful that we have bitcoin today. But guess what, we will be seeing more conspiracy theories in the next coming years. It won't stop unless the real Satoshi will go public, and that I know, will not happen. If Satoshi wants to reveal himself, he should have done that a long time ago.

I never wanted to know who Satoshi is, actually he's a sensation and if he's not wanting to come ahead and let people know about his identity, I believe that none in this world has the right to ask for such thing for him to reveal himself publicly. I believe I'm Satoshi, I believe you are, we all are Satoshi because we believe in him, we believe in BTC, we believe in freedom, freedom towards our finances, freedom from slavery of banks.
