942  Other / Meta / Re: Do we care why people were banned? on: November 07, 2022, 04:36:56 PM
Does anyone think that the reasons for banning should be made public and shown on every post they made?
~Snipped~
So if instead of just posting 1 malware link and getting banned for it, the person who compromised that account could go back through the older posts and change / add links to malware or whatever. Yes the reported posts are removed, but what about the ones made a while ago.
AFAIK, banned users don't have the ability to edit [and delete] any of their posts, so we can rule out the possibility of such cases from happening, but I wouldn't mind seeing the actual reasons behind each of the bans [preferably in the Mod/Deletion log].
943  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Problem with Blockchain.com on: November 07, 2022, 09:58:58 AM
Lost of father and home with few other troubles having bad impact on me as I have one Gmail account which is nearly 12 years old, and I have few folders which are having personal things from there I have few details and I check them every time I am having email from blockchain, and they are asking for authorization so with this I am trying with my few passwords, but these are not working even I never use any other password.
Now financial trouble is day by day increasing burden, so I was hoping to have anything positive but look like it's not going to help, just waste of time and some heck to myself.
Sorry for your loss and I don't want you to get your hopes up but as a last resort, perhaps Dave [aka "walletrecoveryservices.com" (it's a paid service that charges 20% of anything they recover)] might be able to brute force it for you [e.g. a similar case with just his wallet ID].
Note: Due to its popularity, scammers have created a bunch of phishing websites (always double-check the link)!
944  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Problem with Blockchain.com on: November 06, 2022, 06:03:52 PM
every time when I am giving email and password it's stock,
I'm confused! Yesterday you mentioned you no longer have access to "anything other than your email"... If that was an honest mistake and you still have your password, then make sure to also check it with a combination of uppercase letters [passwords are case-sensitive in Blockchain.com wallet]!
945  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HAI Crypto Pay on: November 05, 2022, 05:22:36 PM
I would really like to ask you if you were ready to become my partner for the implementation of this project?
~Snipped~
can't implement it without programmers and a partner.
You might want to mention what you'd be offering to your partner and what you'd be requiring from them!

The idea is that you connect your wallets to the app (once we make sure it's secure)
That's easier said than done [unfortunately].

Your assets are converted from crypto to dollar which must be very fast and without commission.
I don't think I can name a single platform [off the top of my head] that offers an auto-conversion feature and doesn't ask for anything... Having said that, you might be able to pull it off "if" you have a huge reserve on the other end while also keeping/hodling everything else!

The application is designed to reduce your time of money submission from the exchange to the card. Now everything will be fast!
I might be missing something, but how does inserting a few steps into any process, reduces the time?
946  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pulsuhan niyo naman ito: Boracay, binabalak na gawing Crypto-Island on: November 05, 2022, 01:44:51 PM
Tsaka marami din silang kailangan need implement sa boracay incase they want to proceed with this kind of adoptation of the bitcoin like mga QRs pero tingin ko medyo malayo pa to mangyare
Actually, matagal na nilang sinimulan yan and "here's a short video".

947  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 05, 2022, 10:37:48 AM

948  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINSOURCE BTC MACHINE ARE SCAM FRAUD DO NOT USE PROOF screens on: November 05, 2022, 09:00:34 AM
I am not able to access the site. I don't know if my IP address is the one that is blocked

The error that I keep getting is "403 Forbidden"
I believe it's because of your IP address [I also couldn't access it normally, so I used a VPN connection instead]... If you don't have access to one, you can refer to one of the following archived pages [it's the only place I've seen them respond]:

949  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINSOURCE BTC MACHINE ARE SCAM FRAUD DO NOT USE PROOF screens on: November 04, 2022, 05:22:32 PM
support keeps saying theres a delay in transactions DUE TO high volumes YEAH RIGHT
They did mention that the high volume is in connection with their own total network and that's a clear indication that they don't have enough Bitcoin at their disposal; hence the huge backlog... I just noticed that one-third of users who "filed a complaint on this platform", successfully got their Bitcoin [worth a try]!

researched some people are getting delayed months
You should've done this prior to using their awful services, but regardless of that, I hope the above link could have a positive impact on your case.
950  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do you use blockchain explorers? on: November 04, 2022, 02:35:30 PM
It is a very first research to collect opinions and experience. Now researching opportunities for products related or based on explorer capabilities
In addition to the survey in question, you might want to also check the "comments" column [and some of the posts] from the following thread: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers
- Despite having subjective ratings, it'd be nice to see another explorer (if there'll be any) that could compete with the top 5 on that list.
951  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-11-01] Grocery retailer Pick n Pay start accepting cryptocurrency payments on: November 04, 2022, 11:42:52 AM
To those who might be interested, here's "an article about a user that recently paid with lightning at Centurion Mall" and here's a "complete list of stores" that offers such a thing [for now].

The supermarket chain allegedly started experimenting with Bitcoin payments five years ago in Cape Town but was stymied by expensive costs and long transaction wait times.
Based on the above quote and "this video", their little experiment didn't succeed in the past, but I'm glad they didn't give up [unlike certain global brands]!
952  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: November 04, 2022, 07:41:06 AM
https://i.imgur.com/Rc25dKr.jpg
Sa tingin ko puro faucet lang yan dahil medyo masipag din ako sa pag gamit ng faucets noong mid 2015 at ang mga nakakakuha ko on average was 350,000 sats [0.0035BTC] kada araw: Screenshot [refer to 2nd week of July]

  • 350,000 sats [daily] x 7 = 2,450,000 sats [0.0245BTC per week]
953  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 03, 2022, 06:55:00 PM

~Snipped~
https://i.imgur.com/BdcbGqi.jpg

Checking the coinpro website, wala akong makitang register button or create an account button sa landing page nila (Desktop version).  Mukhang hindi pa nila implemented iyang pagregister outside the coins.ph portal.

954  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 02, 2022, 02:50:27 PM
Small update to "my previous post":

Habang binabago nila ang Coins Pro [announcement post], gumawa sila ng isa pang platform ["Coins Trade Desk"] para sa mga crypto whales:
- Considering na gaano sila kahigpit, I highly doubt may gagamit nito (sa ibang salita, waste of resources lang ito)!

955  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: November 02, 2022, 12:13:29 PM
Absolutely all exchangers timely provide us with the information about the quantity of funds in their reserves, so that the data on our website would be maximally up to date.
Does it extend to them providing some kind of proof [e.g. signed messages] for their reserves or it's basically limited to what they're displaying on their respective platforms?

Update:
Unfortunately, we do not have sufficient authority to verify payment documents and cryptocurrency balances of the services. This data is hard to monitor, and we transfer their AS IS without additional check and verification from custodian.
Thank you for clarifying it Smiley
956  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Canaan scammed me for 6000$+ on: November 01, 2022, 06:58:04 PM
I have send him/her screenshot from my phone with the payment confirming its me,
i am not hardware specialist to fix my ledger
Am I correct in assuming that the above screenshot was taken from the Ledger Live mobile app and you own a Nano X wallet? If the answer to that is "YES", then it probably has something to do with its awful/unreliable battery and you can find the solutions in the following thread: Ledger Nano X Battery Pandemic [make sure to read all of the comments]
- I hope it helps with speeding up the refund process.
957  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: iPlayCrypto - All you need to know for playing with crypto on: November 01, 2022, 06:03:08 PM
About the anonymity what's the main concern? They pass your details after the purchase?
Yes, basically the things they're collecting are more than enough to build a good profile on their users, and when you combine it with their lousy track record in keeping those things safe from hackers, then it becomes worse than just sharing it with their partners!
- By saying that LL users can achieve complete anonymity, you're giving your readers a false sense of security (unintentionally).
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pumpkin Soup And Family Warmth on: October 31, 2022, 03:47:07 PM
I also want to know have you ever talked about bitcoin with your family? and in what moment do you talk about it?
and chatting about bitcoin in a fun and happy situation is a great thing.
I had some conversations with the members of my family in the past, but If I could go back in time, I'd tell myself to STOP! Most of them have a habit of sharing literally anything with their friends and in some cases, even strangers [e.g. my son does Bitcoin stuff and etc...] and there's a chance that I [you and your brother] might become someone else's target!

but i don't know if the job will be counted into the contest or not. good luck.
If it falls under the following categories, it'll be counted:

959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Continues integration used for mining on: October 31, 2022, 01:18:36 PM
That's quite interesting and as long as none of the service providers offers free resources, that threat can't survive for a long time... The same blog post also mentioned the possibility of a 51% attack on Bitcoin and even if they remain undetected for some time, I wouldn't be worried.
960  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What to do if your Ledger key have gone in the washing machine on: October 31, 2022, 09:02:42 AM
the best solution is to dry the components individually.
I'm curious to know how you would've approached the situation if there wasn't an easy way to disassemble Nano X components: e.g. PCB is glued to the battery while also being glued to the case

and make sure there's a good airflow. A great place to dry electronics is inside your PC case, or on top of it if you have fans blowing upwards. It worked for me countless times.
I have mixed feelings about this [even with a good airflow]... Depending on how the configuration is inside someone's PC and how they normally use their computer, there's a lot of generated heat between the space that you're going to place it [sandwiched between the GPU and PSU (for the most part)] so while it helps with drying them, it could also damage some of its components [especially since we're talking about a product made by Ledger]!
