962  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: June 23, 2023, 08:47:36 AM
What do you mean by fiat is a acam? Are you aware that no matter how bad the government may be, they can never allow banknotes to be a scam because they also benefits from it, I can use my country as an attachment in these area gonna those days were some citizens uses fake  fiat note and if they are been hold by any means, they will be jailed, I strongly believe that how it is every were.

Which part of what I said you didn't understand? It is a scam. USD lost 99% its purchasing power since I don't know when. Whoever held USD for a long time lost money. (which is purchasing power) The central banks print FIAT out of thin air. Can you print goods and services? No. Then why do they print FIAT without anything to back it up? That's the definition of a scam. It is a wealth transfer. The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. Hopefully you understand it now.
963  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: June 23, 2023, 05:17:26 AM
FIAT is a scam. Holding it will only make poor. Here in my country our local currency devalued against the dollar by 25% in a month. Everybody is buying whatever they can. Crypto, gold, stocks, used cars, toilet papers you name it. Anything is better than holding FIAT. USD will share the same fate too. Maybe not immediately but in the future for sure. There isn't one FIAT currency that lasted forever in history. They all die eventually. Some commodities like bitcoin and gold on the other hand, they don't die. They are timeless.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 23, 2023, 04:15:44 AM
As a morally upright person that does not like to cheat people, but gambles and has lost a lot of money to gambling in a casino where you have sometimes been cheated even without your knowledge or betting on sports, will you take an opportunity you get and go against your moral standards to cheat a casino or sportsbetting place, just so you can win big at least even once.

Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?

Cheating in gambling is basically stealing from the casino. No I am not going to cheat no matter how much I lose to the casino because I'm no fucking criminal, man. I'm no puta or thief. If I acme across to a 100% working trick like you said, I would immediately inform the casino owner. Whether he gives me a reward or not for that doesn't matter. That's his choice. What really matters is if I did the right thing or not. We need to live a honest life so god won't hate us. Be a good man and don't steal.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 05:03:28 AM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.

No. It is what it is. If you are playing every day, that pretty much means you are addicted to it and like every addiction out there, it is a bad thing. Stereotyping people isn't a problem because in this case it tells the truth. A gambling addict might be the CEO of some big corp but he is still an addict and people will always keep that in mind when having an interaction with that person. Being a CEO was just an example. He could be a doctor, engineer, etc The ultimate truth is, it is an addiction and it affects people in a very bad way.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Bitcoin VS Hold Gold on: June 21, 2023, 07:33:45 PM
gold will still be up and running.

Inspite of Bitcoin has high volatility, But Bitcoin also will still be up and running. And as I said on the post, We should use Cold money to hold Bitcoin, and holding Gold too, I think.

It doesn't matter if the network is still up (which very well may not be btw unlike what you said) if you have no way to access the network. Short story: "EMP, No electricity, No internet, No satellite access, no working electronic device" etc etc

If you have some gold in your possession however, none of these will affect you. Owning physical gold has its own risks but that's not the topic of this discussion.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Bitcoin VS Hold Gold on: June 21, 2023, 06:16:52 PM
It is not one or another imo. Gold and bitcoin both have their place in the financial system. (or outside the system) Bitcoin is fundamentally better than gold but it has one flaw. It is still digital. The problem with this is, we still live in a physical world (no metaverse isn't going to change that and the internet hasn't changed that.) and when/if everything goes down, believe it or not, bitcoin will go down too. The chance of that happening is pretty slim but if it happens, gold will still be up and running.

Bitcoin has almost every layer of safety to protect you from a financial crisis. Gold on the other hand has one more. Gold goes to eleven.
968  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 20, 2023, 08:12:01 PM
If you are going to live in that RE for a long time, then just buy it. Seriously. Renting is not even an alternative unless you are going to move to some other city/country in a foreseeable future. Renting a house is like having another employer telling you what to do. Why would anybody agree to that crap?

If you are looking for a place to live only for 1-5 years then rent it. If you don't know if you ever gonna move to some other city/country, then buy it.

As simple as it gets.
969  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Free electricity, just the equipment left. on: June 20, 2023, 11:52:44 AM
There is no such thing as free electricity. Even the electricity you get from the solar panels and wind turbines aren't free unless you steal them from someone else. (You pay up-front) So what you are describing here is theft. You are basically stealing from the government. Just because they let you use that electricity for free don't mean you can profit from it by selling it. You are actually risking your life here. Don't do it. The risk/reward ratio is not worth it. It is because the risk here is a jail sentence. If you are going to take a risk like that at least aim big and make it count.

971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Categories of Unrealistic Sports Betting Expectations on: June 19, 2023, 02:24:59 PM
We encounter different categories of sports bettors every day, both online and offline. However, some of them express unrealistic expectations regarding their potential winnings.

The first category is composed of sports bettors with a $1000 bankroll who hope to make $100,000 by the end of the year. In what universe do they think this is possible? Such expectations are unrealistic and only occur in the lottery, not in sports betting. Even in sports betting, it would be a chance occurrence, happening only once in every 100 bets. A more realistic expectation would be to aim for increasing their bankroll.

The second category consists of individuals seeking guaranteed wins and fixed bets or matches. These individuals are frequently seen on platforms such as Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and others where sports betting is discussed. They are often the first to express their desire for guaranteed games and fixed matches/bets, believing they will surely win. Unfortunately, these individuals are easily scammed due to scammers taking advantage of their gullibility.

What other categories of unrealistic sports betting expectations have you encountered?

These wild and unrealistic expectations make gambling so popular. Same with altcoin trading. People invest in alts because they think they can replicate the success of bitcoin if they become an early investor of some shitcoin. Sometimes it happens but sometimes people also win the lottery and their $100 coupon win them the big prize. Every once in a while these miracles happen. People are addicted to this hope. As M. Freeman said: "Hope is a dangerous thing. It may make you poor." As Andy D. said: "Hope is a beautiful thing. It may make you rich." See? Both of these dudes are right actually. The question is, which one are you gonna follow?
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: June 19, 2023, 01:58:13 PM
I have this kind of problem ever since I started online gambling. I’m always bored playing same bet amount while my bankroll just keep coming back and fort to my initial bank roll.

The real problem starts when I’m on a long losing streak with same bet amount let's say 5 win streak. My mind set change from relax gambling to chasing loss. Even after I recover my loss, I bet already in abnormal pattern so that I can earn profit in a fast way. I always conclude my mistake after gambling. I keep repeating this cycle. My gambling time only ended up if I’m on profit big time or 100% loss my bankroll. I don’t know but it’s very hard for to quit gambling when my bankroll is at loss or on a little bit profit.

Anyone here is successful doing a long shot bet? A point were you can be satisfied without considering your bankroll status and just pure fun on gambling experience?

It is all in your mind. As W. Buffet would say: "If you can't control your emotions, you can't control your money." This is the point where gambling and trading become very similar. If you don't have the right psychology to manage money, you won't be successful in either both gambling and trading. You should know when to cut your losses. That's called having a "stop loss" in trading. In gambling, the idea is the same. You should know when to leave the table because if you don't, you will lose even more. Sometimes not playing the game is the only way to stop losing money.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: June 19, 2023, 07:55:44 AM
#1 is bitcoin because it is the most adopted crypto out there. Every online crypto casino accepts it.
#2 is LTC because it is fast and cheap. Not as widely adopted as bitcoin but it is still in a good position
#3 is Doge. Same reasons as ltc.

Overall I am happy to play with either of those choices. Sometimes I wish bitcoin had cheaper transactions fees though but it is OK. Quality don't come cheap.
974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A no-Bitcoin friend turned a old Bitcoiner on: June 18, 2023, 07:45:35 PM
Why would someone try to hide their Bitcoin involvement from their friends that tried to teach them all this while?

....

What do you think is probably ongoing here?

Easy... They don't want you to know about their stash. It is never a good thing. Maybe you mean no hard to him but you are definitely going to talk about his wealth and some other people with bad intentions might wanna hurt him. Your friend was wise to hide this information from you and other people. I am saying "was" here because obviously he isn't a wise guy anymore because you know his involvement with crypto now. Rich wise people don't show off with their wealth. Doing that will only bring trouble.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to fight with FUD about Bitcoin on: June 17, 2023, 12:44:28 PM
You don't have to.

If you are getting affected by it then you will be the loser in the end. Do you want to be a loser? If you answer is "no" then ignore the FUD. "Yes" > have fun staying poor. If you re thinking about the other investors, again, you shouldn't because the same logic also applies to their situation. If they get affected by the FUD then they will lose money. I don't know about you but I don't give a damn if other people make or lose money. Who cares?
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: June 17, 2023, 06:57:24 AM
I have been gone for a while and now I am back, I am fully prepared to build some long term hold bags with the new trending utilities in the crypto space, I still somehow believe that Metaverse and A.I will generate big gains by 2025, what coins are you currently looking forward to accumulating? Out of Metaverse and Artificial intelligence is fine.

If you want to invest in metaverse and AI you probably should buy stocks instead of crypto. META & Nvidia.

Lately AAPL made a great move on VR/AR thing too and it is also a great stock to buy imo. I am talking about Vision Pro. I heard that the price will be around $3.5k and you know what? People will still buy it. Apple will make a killing.

Personally I would rather go with AAPL instead of going with META&NVIDIA.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many advantages do you know about tron? on: June 17, 2023, 06:52:48 AM
I find so many benefits of Tron like,

1. Negligible transaction fees

That's the only advantage of Tron I know about and  that's not because I am a regular Tron user. It is because binance has the lowest USDT withdrawal fees when you use this network. So I used it many times while withdrawing my USDT to another exchange. However I am not familiar with the other points which you posted but if it is as good as you said, then tron will be a major player in crypto in the future. In the end Justin Sun is a billionaire and he is not going to bet on a losing horse. More competition is always better. ETH shouldn't be the only game in town.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 16, 2023, 07:50:00 PM
Yes!
you got the topic very correct and I do mean it because after my last thread, I was actually wondering  the essences of having all the knowledge  about bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large and still don't have the money to buy, I just feel its a waste of effort and such a person  with all his knowledge  will definitely miss out of the opportunities in bitcoin and I'm  on the opinion  that people still need to always have some form of money at all time to buy bitcoin especially  at every instance a dip arises and I want to know the essence of wanting to crowd ones brain Brain with so much about bitcoin  when such a person doesn't have any more to buy rather than seeking ways to buy?

Money and knowledge complete each other. Without knowledge, money will have no use to a person. It is because he won't know how to spend that money effectively. He will lose that money fast and end up a poor man. The person with knowledge on the other and may be unlucky in life or had some other problems and somehow he just couldn't generate good money. This guy however has a chance to get rich in the future because he is a "wise" man. Sooner or later he will figure out the problem and get rid of it Once that happens he will go straight to the top.
979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 16, 2023, 07:16:46 PM
Bitcoin will go higher when everybody gets tired of waiting for the pump. That's the untold truth. Bitcoin may never see another ATH in the next 10 years and that's because there would still be people hodling their coins. The whales don't like that. It is because the whales don't want to make other people rich by pumping crypto. And that makes sense too. If any of you was a whale, you would do the same thing. Big fish eats little fish, that's the name of the game. Some small fish will always get away and become rich but how many of these small fish have a patience like that? I don't think many do.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 16, 2023, 07:12:31 PM
According to research, when a man loses a gamble, there's a machismo attached to him saying, "Yeah, I lost £500, but I can afford it."[/b]

That's pretty much true. Men are not crybabies or we try hard not to look like one. Women on the other hand are emotional creatures and they can't handle high stress environments for very long. They tend to lose their cool pretty fast. A man might lose half of his life savings and that will hit him in the head like hitting a brick but he won't say a word about it. He will go on like nothing has happened. If someone asks him about it, he will tell that it was no biggie.  Grin In reality, he just had a major fuck up obviously. But no, we can't cry like a woman. What good is it gonna do anyway? Getting stressed and crying ain't gonna solve anything. So men are doing the right thing.
