961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will be the Hot Crypto Trends for the upcoming 2024/25 Bull Market? on: February 27, 2024, 06:52:29 PM
I don't want to remember that Terra Luna debacle because there were too many people that have been fooled by those who invested in them. And from that money of those victims, they thought that it was actually a good project and many did think the same but we all ended up being fooled by them. It's so hard to accept those moments that these projects that many seem to be optimistic with turned that they're just another project trying steal people's money. We've got all sort of genre for many projects nowadays because bull run is approaching, and I agree about AI projects too.

We can use that Terra Luna disaster to prevent ourselves from being scammed by new trends/projects in the upcoming 2024/25 bull market.

Like you said Terra Luna seemed like a good project back in the last bull market, so from this shall we assume new good projects/trends in the 2024/25 bull market are potential scams too and what red flags did terra luna had apart from being not decentralized like bitcoin that we can look out to protect retail investors losing $billions in the next crypto bull market? I remember the founder of Terra Luna try to save his stablecoin by liquidating Terra Luna bitcoin holdings but it wasn't much and was too late. How 1 man can do this in a true decentralized blockchain?
Yeah, this gives us a clue that we should be careful with the projects that seems to be good and giving us a good impression. But then, they have a dark plan to take their investors money. With that, I hope that the majority of the investors will never to be a victim again with these projects but it's just so hard when many of these projects are hiding like angels at their launching and then will activate their plans ones they have gained popularity and investors confidence.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cash (Paper Money) vs Monero on: February 27, 2024, 06:28:10 PM
What do you prefer for making untraceable transactions? Cash (paper money) or Monero? Based on your selection, why do you think it's best for said purpose? If paper money goes out of circulation, would you use XMR? Or something else?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Grin
Two have a different purpose, cash paper/money is untraceable once it's already used or deployed in the market or spent it for paying. The only way to determine that it came from you is through fingerprints unless the serial codes or numbers have been recorded before it's given to you.
No contest about monero for being a privacy coin and there's no need to talk about it if the matters is about anonymity and privacy. I'd use both to be honest.
963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Isn't trading almost like gambling? on: February 27, 2024, 09:16:12 AM
in terms of risk between short term trading and gambling is almost the same, but you equate gambling and trading is wrong, because trading requires skill, different from gambling such as dice, slots which do not require anything to play just in one click you can see the results with fast, if your trading prioritizes skill over luck
Gambling also has sort of skills and you have to evaluate that as well. But for us to understand that, it's up on how we perceive these skills and understanding between gambling and trading. While the thinking of most is that gambling is just all about putting bets and leaving it like that. And as for trading, doing some analysis and waiting for the right time to make some money out of it. There's really some differences that we can see if we compare these two.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Opinions on the Pi network on: February 27, 2024, 08:35:12 AM
I think there are several reasons for their project not listed on many platforms. This project is actually not much user friendly they delay you on their kyc stage and sometimes after waiting so much it again starts from the beginning.
People still don't get it that after several years of asking its community to comply for KYC, they've done nothing with that. The devs themselves probably have already made profit from it but these poor users are still hopeful that it will be something someday. Honestly, I've stumbled upon its community by accident and they're posting a Simpsons episode where there is this logo if pi and a chart that shows it. I don't know if it's a real episode and now, whoever posted that says that it's like something about the future of PI. Sorry but delusional.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wasting your time if you take extra precautions while using monero? on: February 27, 2024, 07:56:04 AM
Are you wasting your time trying to be more private when you use monero given xmr has built-in privacy?
monero mixer's are definitely a scam?
Monero is more than enough and I haven't seen any mixer that's related to it. The privacy that it has got is already there and built in, so if there are services that you see that have been offering monero mixing services, it's likely that after you deposit, you'll never receive it back.

when you connect to the monero node is that the weakest point for your privacy?
Better ask that here: [XMR] Monero Speculation or on its ANN thread - [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency
And base on its FAQ: https://www.getmonero.org/get-started/faq/#anchor-danger-rnode it's best to use a personal node for better privacy.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason behind surge in price of verge ? on: February 27, 2024, 07:00:53 AM
I saw that there is 60% increase in the price of verge coin in last 24 hours. When I searched this coin official handles, the Twitter handle has posts from last year. There is no development and still the coin is blowing up so fast.
Isn't it a sign that most of the altcoins now are pumping due to the season? altseason?

Are the altcoins now moving just on speculation ?
They're moving based on the demand and that's why if there are speculations about them, and the demand is visible and the price gets higher. That's what we have to suspect first even if there's no activity for a year or two but if the retail investors and if some whales decided to pump it, it will pump.

968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Previous ATH achieve before bull? on: February 26, 2024, 08:30:55 PM
Hey all have been hearing some people saying is bull run and some post over here have been saying we are not yet in bull run so I was mean to asked when exactly do we expect bull run if now is not yet the period. Then lastly does it mean we must achieved the previous ATH before we can say we have entered main bull run, since lots of people keeps saying bull run already started.
I was pushed to asked when exactly do expect the bull run?
Like I can see ETH and BNB doing very well..
What we see right now indicates that we're at the start of the bull run. Once the halving is done, you can say that it actually has started. But with the recent surge of Bitcoin and other altcoins, you can just simply accept that we're in an actual bull run now.
Whether people say that it's not yet, you believe what you think is right because this debate isn't even important if we're there yet or not as long as you've come prepared.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low Cap Medium to Higher Staking Percentage coins doing well on: February 26, 2024, 07:58:03 PM
reddcoin, 1337/Elite,
I remember these two. But you have to remember that in staking coins, if they've got the higher percentage now, that only means that the volume isn't that much for that token. And once the volume gets higher, the percentage of the staking will decrease. That's how they're balancing it like that and for you to get on it means that you've been following all of these altcoins but I don't think that it's all worth it to follow and invest with all of those that you've mentioned.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If I have 1BTC So how did I use to invest in different Coins on: February 26, 2024, 06:54:38 PM
Diversifying is the best way to invest if you ever have been holding bitcoin and you're satisfied with its amount. Due to that, many diversify their assets and chooses to invest into another altcoin because they think that what they're holding right now is sufficient.
correct as the great day of Single investing(holding) of bitcoin have passed long now and yes we are into Altcoin as well now because there are so much happening in altcoins that has been proven over the years.
sometimes Altcoin is even better for short term than Bitcoin.
Altcoins for short term are for real but nothing beats Bitcoin and that's a real thing. If you happen to have a lot of spare money to invest and you're packed already with Bitcoin. That's the time you might want to think that it's now time for you to start buying some altcoins you think are beneficial for you. Not all of them are going to be profitable because as in short term goals of making a profit, you need to be hyperactive at all times because if you're late on it, you'd definitely lose your capital and miss that making profits.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Made an Altcoin crypto discord for anyone interested in discussing altcoins/BTC on: February 26, 2024, 06:17:54 PM
I share better plays than the ones posted in these paid "alpha" groups and my group is more community focused.
Good luck with that, most of the people here are aware of not joining these type of groups because even if you say that you're sharing better plays or trade or what you call them, it's just all about the signals that you're making and if it's working for you and your community, that's nice and good to know. But you just can't force people to join these groups whether you guys tell that you are the best group and has made a lot of millionaires because it's not that convincing at all.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your view and your opinion about Ethereum? on: February 26, 2024, 06:26:21 AM
ETH is just so tough that many said good altcoins are trying to dethrone it. The point of them is no longer to dethrone bitcoin but to dethrone ethereum because it is what the big ecosystem for most altcoin projects are circulating. With smart contracts, the other projects that came from it had also made something for themselves. Asset wise, I'm holding it and I am long term to it and that's why until the upcoming bull I'll slash a bit from my holdings.
mainly because current trend always centered or revolve around ETH, the fact that some of the biggest new project is just plainly modifying that EVM a little bit and call it an innovation means that ethereum is just that good, the amounts of L2 deployed these days could only mean that people are so hell bent on trying to focus on solving the ethereum gas fee by releasing their own side chain which means demand for ethereum is gonna be rising meanwhile they also trying to make token as a side business I guess for their released L2.
the funding and the amount of eth bridged added with the amount of the ethereum locked has made ethereum have significant advantage if compared with it competition.
even the gap between ethereum and BNB is really far, knowing that BNB is also one of the most used blockchain aside from ethereum as well as having 4th biggest market capitalization
or at least 3rd market cap if stablecoin is put out of the competition here since we know its stablecoin.
thats just how big ethereum is, so many project centered around it and even if ethereum itself has really high gas price just for sending the simplest transaction people still latch onto it
and would still execute the transaction anyway like there's no tomorrow.
That's true, all of the modifications that are circulating with the new projects still originated from ETH and that's how good it is. They just can't compare it with the other ones. Although some are really good to be seen but if it's compared to ETH, it's just off the beat and ETH is by far than any of those. Even with the actual value and price pump of the other projects that has their own mainnet and smart contracts, in terms of value and market cap, ETH beats them all.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is right time for investment ? on: February 26, 2024, 04:37:44 AM
Before you jump into investing in any coin, take a moment to research.
We never get tired to tell that people, investors and newbies to DYOR. Because when they do, they're not going to blame anyone nor themselves if they have to deal with a problem with their choice.

Look into how long it's been around, the platform's plans, and find the right time to invest by comparing prices. These steps can make a big difference in your investment returns.
Telling that several months ago will still not encourage people to invest. Even if we've been telling them what they should do, they should have acted on it. But those that are literally into the market and have promised and looked forward to themselves that they'll invest, they have done that long time ago.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) on: February 25, 2024, 11:40:15 PM
Do you still hold it? If so, it's best for you to just dump it. It's a fork of Bitcoin and many have already dumped it after the distribution. Up to now, the website is still inaccessible. Don't they have some notice to their community if they are in maintenance or sort of?
Well, you see the signs if you're holding it and still believing to forks like this.

976  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 25, 2024, 10:15:44 PM
Some savings are necessary in life as these savings will be some recourse in your old age. But of course, investment should be given priority over savings. According to me, investment should be prioritized for four reasons.
For the older ones, savings are a must because they can't take any longer risk unless they've got a huge savings that they can attain to lose money by taking risks with investments. It's best for the younger ones to invest at an early stage because they can attain to make mistakes and they can recover eventually, that's why the old ones are good to have with what's left on them if they ever have saved and invested at their young age. And as they grow old, it's best to them to just enjoy the profits they've made to enjoy life.
Enjoying life is one of the goals when we are required to invest, by investing we can expect something better, especialy in financial terms. But for me saving and investing are both equally good and if possible it's better to do both. We can use our savings when something sudden happens that requires us to spend more money, so our investment will not be disturbed because we still have savings.

We can also use savings for investment, for example when we have a lot of savings we can allocate it to investment. I think that is a good way to do it, because it has many advantages that we can utilize.
It's like our end game for this life, we just want to enjoy but if you start to save and invest later, you'll just enjoy it later too. While those that have started too early, that means that they can also enjoy it too but earlier. So you choose what makes you think that you're suitable to enjoy life early but you didn't do necessary actions like buying assets at your early age and when you didn't saved that money of yours but used it for nonsense things.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AppleCoin on: February 25, 2024, 09:47:20 PM
Does anybody know the value of Applecoin
It actually has sketchy details on Coinmarketcap.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/applechain/#Chart

At the time of writing this, the price of it is $0.0005998. And if it's the sketchy details, I'm talking about its market cap that has been $593B but having a volume of 5 grand. That's sketchy and I wouldn't believe that accuracy.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AI coins on: February 25, 2024, 09:10:03 PM
So far I have never heard and know about coin AI .
Is there anyone here who can tell me?
and can explain it to me.
so that I understand better.
There are many of them actually. But what's fascinating was this guy OP have told that 7 years ago. That means that he's been advocating to invest into AI coins for that early although there have been projects already during that time. And for the AI coins for you to determine, they've got their own lists or categories on websites like coinmarketcap[1].

979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This meme is a good investment to hold, don't miss it on: February 25, 2024, 11:25:46 AM
Okay, someone just dropped something tells that it's a good investment with the links on the side and never explained how it became a good one. Not surprising, it's always been like this when someone just made a memecoin trying to get into the market and see if there are tripper investors that will make it pump for that dev to make some milk and honey there. No one's gonna buy that and you'll surely never going to be back on this forum. You've just dropped the link and stuff of your memecoin and you've just wasted your time.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not the future, it is the present on: February 25, 2024, 10:18:24 AM
We're in the crypto era and this means that everything is now digitalized and even money. It's at the right time because of the evolution of things together with its innovation, it is on its era and it's the present and the future. We all believe that Bitcoin is the future and that's one debate in the past. We've been told that it's the future of money, yes future money in the sense that it is the actual money that we're going to use as-is as an investment too. It has got a lot of use but most likely it is the future investment, asset and a store of value.
