981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxation of 30% on gains from Bitcoin investment? on: December 07, 2020, 07:26:54 PM
Chill, our government will be able to find out BTC transactions, but not the Dash or XMR ones. And what if we use mixers to hide our coins? People of India are called "jugadu", they can handle anything coming over them. Let's see how it goes with the crypto community, our government is already having a two-edged sword hanging on their heads as they messed up with the Sikh community who are currently the highest in number in terms of farming.
982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I post about my new trading calculator website? on: December 07, 2020, 06:47:08 PM
If it's still developing, you may post it in the "Project Development" section of the forum and once it is complete, you can then move it to Service Announcements (or Service Discussions is fine too). One more thing, if it has altcoin based prices too, I believe it'll probably be the best to take it to Service Announcements (Altcoins).
983  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: December 07, 2020, 05:59:13 PM
@OP, same is the story with many of us (including me) and I'm actually a freelancer, but my workload went down gradually since this pandemic took place. My industry has been hit badly due to this and I believe it's not just me, but even if we talk about some dancers, singers, side dancers, side actors, etc. they are facing the worst days of their life and are needy of any help they could get to even manage their food these days.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 07, 2020, 05:36:39 PM
You've got the idea of these odds. But double betting is not applicable most of the times especially if the winning team is only one. Double betting is only advisable to cases wherein there are two or more outcomes which will generate the win, because it is perhaps a matter of increasing the probability.

You're right. @OP, let's say your team B strikes in 2 goals and scores them first and you have placed a bet on them of around 1 unit, the odds will significantly decrease for the team B and will increase a bit on team A's side. If it gets above 3, then I believe it's a win-win hedge for you (if you doubt that team A will manage to score 2 and draw the game or score 3 goals and even win it). To those who asked how is a favorite decided in a game, I guess they take various factors into consideration like their total wins vs losses, their current position, their standing, their form as well as the total number of bets being made on them as well as the money that's put on them.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / VETUSDT broke out! on: December 07, 2020, 04:52:56 PM
I couldn't take an image as my storage is now over!
But as I can see on the charts, VET broke a major resistance and is currently on for an open ride towards a new high over its previous one. With an extremely tight stop around 0.0175, you can long this position with a 10x leverage and set the targets around 0.0195 to be t1 and 0.0218 to be t2.

Enter this trade at your own risk, I only share what I see on the charts and which could actually prove to be profitable.
986  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's talk about Privacy on: December 07, 2020, 04:25:59 PM
interesting, why do you think an ISP is more trustworthy than a VPN provider?

Because the VPN provider do make money with your data.
If you truly found some which doesn't, it definitely won't be free or a 5$ per month VPN.

You mean that they clearly keep a track of almost everything we do on the internet while using their "masked" IP?
Then even if paid (or highly paid ones), I believe all of them will be able to have all the data whatever you utilize through their services? What about VPS like Amazon AWS?

Do they also keep track of everything that's being done inside their remote area? Even if they don't keep any track of it, will my ISP be able to track what I'm doing in there?
987  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake electrum on: December 06, 2020, 11:48:40 PM
--snip--

You're right, I hate Google for what they do - selling data, breaching their own privacy policy, etc. But the search engine has made everyone its slave - tbh, highly dependent on Google that now, every time you try to search anything, your parents will simply ask you to Google it. Google even allowed some shitty lending apps which have rendered money to people on ridiculous percentages, like if you're taking a loan of $40, you'll get disbursed $30 and you'll need to repay $50 in a 1 week time. If you don't repay during that timeline, you'll be charged a penalty of around $3 on a daily basis. Isn't that ridiculous? Still such apps are there on Google Play store. What's shocking here is that, the money these apps are getting, it's from China. China is trying to first lend us money and then they are sucking every drop of blood from the borrower. I mean, they've even got people working for them here in India who simply call our contacts (yes, these apps even fetch and hack your complete contact list and if you don't repay, these motherfuckers start calling them over phone and abuse them).

Anyways, the most alarming bell that rang in my head was when I saw the images in OP's image, where the images on the play store are showing "Myclelium" which was misspelled and is actually "Mycelium" - a Bitcoin wallet itself.
988  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Bitcoin may increase normally but not as much as 400K on: December 06, 2020, 11:06:34 PM
We are now seeing that everything is possible in this crypto space.
We can't say that it is not possible to reach that level but who knows the future, right?
--snip--

I never said that it's impossible, instead I said that it's very much possible for BTC to reach those ridiculous values in some time in the near future. And yeah, I agree here that we need to take care of our portfolio ourselves and decide the best in our favor as an investor. Thanks for your kind advice to the investors and I believe that if people stop speculating too higher for BTC, the crypto space will lack the entertainment it currently possess.  Tongue
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Loaded on XRP at $0.19. Time to cash in on: December 06, 2020, 10:42:10 PM
People call XRP a scam coin because it has banks involved in it and the total number of tokens are high as well. There are a few who also talk about XRP to become the next BTC and even surpass BTC's marketcap tenfolds (it's a joke to me but as it's crypto, anything can happen). For that to happen, XRP needs to do a >100x even from its current value which seems impossible to me. Yet, I believe XRP has the potential to do above $2.5 this alt season and then, get back under $1. About BTC, sky is the limit because it's in a zone where a new ATH is yet to be decided, but I believe it should cross above $22.5k for a healthy ATH this time.
990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Bitcoin may increase normally but not as much as 400K on: December 06, 2020, 10:27:44 PM
The rules of quantum investing may change the way people look at BTC. Investors have a different sight about their vision on BTC's future and they are not just stupid to bag a lot of BTC through exchanges as well as OTC deals (even at this high price). I believe that the price hikes are inevitable as well as to such levels nobody can even think of, but predicting where it may go maximum is stupid because some people used to say that this Bitcoin thing won't ever reach a $1k mark, and you are now witnessing something that turned from ashes to platinum in a period of decade. Not just that, but it's a boon for small investors and especially, hodlers. Wink
991  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake electrum on: December 06, 2020, 07:57:06 PM
The only wallet by "Electrum Technologies GmbH" is the one that's the original Electrum wallet. All others are fake. People should take time and carefully check all the details instead of simply going to play store in a hurry and mess up with their capital by downloading a fake or corrupt version of any wallet. It's for their own safety to act responsibly, so not to complain later.
992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we keep bitcoin or not? on: December 06, 2020, 06:56:25 PM
If you're not sure about whether to have BTC in your portfolio or not, it's better to add USDT by exchanging your BTC. I believe that the price is stable and will probably have a run above $21k-$22.5k once there will be a breakout (and it's looking like BTC will breakout upside only except if sellers take the control at their side and dump it down to $16500 again).
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I want to know about this game. on: December 06, 2020, 06:33:22 PM
In this game, manipulations are possible (I am not saying that they exist, but they can be - this is a fact) - you cannot remotely check the mass of the balls, the material from which they are made (maybe magnetic alloys), etc. In addition, you need to make sure that you are watching the live stream and not the recording.
But I agree that this is a fresh and interesting approach and is very good for an entertaining competition with friends, for example.

The chances of this game being rigged are least because of the limited bets per round. I know I can't argue on this topic as it's not too long since we can decide on the legitimacy of such game which is completely new and yeah, there's not much I can say about the mass of the balls, but the only thing I see for this game to cheat us is when we are shown a recorded stream as a live one.
994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wrote an app to compare the price evolution for crypto pairs on Binance on: December 06, 2020, 06:20:00 PM
Will it have more bigger timeframes? And are you willing to add a portfolio analysis and spread calculator to it? Does it also have notification alerts available like when I want some specific price alerts, will I be able to get them through your app?
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I want to know about this game. on: December 06, 2020, 05:45:49 PM
The odds are equal and there's next to 0 chance of any cheats for a specific ball to enter the end point first. So a possible 5x on your investment if your ball wins. I visited mia.bet today which is a project that was proposed and brought up last year, and got to watch a new thread about it 6 days ago. I think these new games are the future as everyone is getting bored by the rigged games on most game providers.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: has bitcoin achieved its goal? on: December 06, 2020, 05:20:24 PM
I believe the main goal of BTC is to reach a million dollar mark according to Satoshi. Next is, its adoption and we are seeing it, but I don't believe BTC is going to get accepted as a payment method anymore because of its price and its fees, as it can now only be seen as an investworthy asset class.
997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New troll narrative, "Running a full node will make you a criminal" on: December 04, 2020, 10:18:48 PM
Maybe he missed the train and is scared to buy BTC at its nearly ATH? I can't imagine how people try to demotivate others by spreading shit out of their mouth around the corner and what's do funny, they even think that they'll succeed in their plan and get away with it. Pretty dumbass doesn't even know that the so-called transactions are 100% transparent and companies like chainalysis are such big agency names who are completely able to trace any address they're allocated. And by saying all that, does he mean that all those who mined BTC since 2010 are criminals? Is Satoshi Nakamoto a criminal? I don't believe so. The fact is, people are to made aware of both the sides of the coin before they decide whether his shit is real or our truth.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull on YFI? Think again. Alarming you! on: December 04, 2020, 08:59:33 PM
In this case, I believe that Bitcoin will not be adjusted as drastically as you say.
--snip--

So what were you saying?
I told about this just 2 days ago from the date (26 Nov) when BTC ^adjusted^, or in other words, corrected down >$3k in a matter of an hour. What a plunge that was! And with it, saw the crash in DeFi as well, please check the level I was alarming about. It was BTC1.10 and YFI reached the exact price and bounced back after BTC started showing recovery. And I still believe there's an opportunity to short YFI here. Wink
