There have been quite a lot of discussions/suggestions about this in the past, with nothing doing from Theymos just yet. It is pretty obvious he doesn't think it is something that is necessary to implement in the forum. If you had used the seach button, you'd have found topics like these:

In the case of I know what I know and people don't know what I know is very wrong, everyone has different knowledge and different skills, what others might know you that thinks you know all doesn't know it, hope you guys understand what am trying to saying?
No, not really, i don't understand what you are trying to say.
Sometimes people who thinks that they can't create a quality post doesn't know that their post might be of good help to another person.
Users make high quality posts because they have the knowledge about most of the discussions that takes place in the forum, if you don't have knowledge about a particular topic, it is better not to post and to read, there's really nothing in between; you cannot think that you can't make quality posts when you are a quality poster.

I support your application Igebotz, and like i said in Charles-Tim's Nigerian board merit source application a few weeks ago, our local board definitely needs more merits/merit sources, it is pretty obvious that the board is undermerited and there are enough quality posts going on there. I know Theymos hardly makes any changes or additions immediately, it always takes time, but we can hope that when next he is adding new merit sources, he can consider you and Charles-Tim to be merit sources of our local board. Goodluck.

The fact that Nkuntu was given 4 months to recover from his injuries makes me worry how Chelsea would manage not having the same striker they are verging for in their team again. The premier league game starts in a few days, so this is horrible news. On Sunday, Chelsea will host Liverpool in their first home game of the new season.
Bad news for Chelsea and their fans, but it is what it is, and injuries are a part of football which is inevitable most times. It is now the job of the manager to slightly change his plans for the new season, i think Sterling can play in that role for the meantime and Chelsea can start the season with him as a striker and see what happens. Chelsea are definitely going to try to buy another striker before the end of the transfer window, but they must start this season without an orthodox striker, which gives the manager more to think about.

Salah but also Kevin De Bruyne are targets of Saudi Arabia teams. Talking about Salah he was offered, by Al-Hilal, a nice salary of €180m for 2 years + €60m for Liverpool to let him go. It appears that Salah will decline this offer this season according to his agent.
For De Bruyne, it is Al-Ittihad which want to sign him but I didn't find the proposed money for that.
These players are not interested in this move right now, prolly if they were older they might have considered it, Salah is a vital player for Liverpool, same as De bruyne is to City, and they both still have quite a lot to offer in Europe. I know these Saudi clubs have so much money, and their offers are really tempting, but it isn't possible for them to get all the players that they wish to have. With the Saudi clubs now fully involved in important/popular transfer business, it has made things a whole lot more interesting, who knows how big the Saudi league might be by next summer, plus the calibre of players they will be able to allure then.

Nice to see Arsenal win the Community Shield. Last season he also challenged for the EPL title with Man City. I hope this season Arsenal can win the Premier League. I also see Man City as if it was a big mistake to let Gundogan go to Barcelona, even though he is one of the players who often makes the difference between Haaland, Foden and Silva having trouble scoring goals. Arsenal only killed off De Bruyne's move, Man City couldn't do much up front, even though there was still Silva, but not as genius as Gundo and Mahrez in opening scoring opportunities.
Gundogan wanted to try out a new challenge elsewhere, so he rejected the offer of a new contract from City, Mahrez also felt like it was time for him to leave Europe, he has achieved everything he could have dreamt of, what do you expect City to do, stand in the way of these players? Of course no, City sell players who do not want to remain in the club. If you stop players from leaving against their will, you create an uncomfortable enviroment in the club.

Congrats to Arsenal for winning the Community Shield, but i don't think they are going to win the EPL, City are the strong favorites to win the EPL again this season, remember that when City lost the Community Shield last season, they went on to win the treble.

Of a truth there is quite a lot to learn about Bitcoin on this forum, it is basically a platform that every bitcoiner should be on, without this forum, quite a lot of us wouldn't know the right wallet to use or the modus operandi of scammers, and the reason why i have not lost even a sat to scammers is because i am a user on this forum.
OP, op you are wrong, Bitcointalk is a community designed to discuss about bitcoin and it's price speculations, am a new beginner as you and I know my purpose for being here, before I signed up on Bitcointalk I told my self I must learn Bitcoin before anyother crypto currency and here I am, an investor so OP I will advise you to try and know your purpose here on Bitcointalk, if you are here to look for money sorry theirs non but if you want to learn about bitcoin you are free to learn.
After reading the OP's post, i think they are well aware of this. OP wasn't saying earning is the most important aspect of the forum, but that signature campaign is an added incentive for users to make high quality posts and to remain active.

Guardiola has been confirmed that this season he has a target want to gets Premier League title again and if he can able to achieve his target then Guardiola will being an the first manager who can able to gets the title 4 times in a row and he would be made a new history because there was no manager on Premier League previously who can able to do that but he said that's won't be easy because some big teams such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool will be more stronger than last season and in the first week Manchester City will fight against Burnley but before this match Manchester City will attempts to gets their first trophy this season through an Community Shield against Arsenal today
Pep loves to win the EPL, he has openly confirmed on numerous occasions that it is the trophy he loves to win the most and even though he and City have won the last three in a row, they remain the favorites to win it again this season. The number of trophies Pep has won in City is absolutely unbelievable, and the scary thing is that no matter the success he achieves, he never becomes complacent, he still pushes to win more.

Having said that, the other teams in the EPL would be out to stop City this season, they wouldn't want them to turn the EPL to a farmers' league, but stopping City isn't easy, i think Arsenal would give them the strongest competition this season, not Liverpool, United or Chelsea.

Atalanta bought him for 15 million Euros, he scored 10 goals there in 34 games. Not really something that should have made him a 80+ million euros transfer.
But - it's United I guess. They have been brainless with their buys for quite some time now.
I second that, the transfer market is becoming so ridiculous and unbelievable, Brighton are holding their ground and requesting for 100 million pounds for a one season player, Caicedo, Dortmund received over €100m for Bellingham, etc, some of these players are really brilliant, but their valuation is excessive and they should be worth way less.

The transfer market may be ridiculous, but Manchester United simply no longer know how to do business, i can't remember the last time they did very good business in the transfer market, they need to learn from their neighbors, Man City, how to do good business. Of course Hojlund is nowhere close to the amount that United paid for him, if he succeeds at Old Trafford it might be a good bargain, but if he doesn't, that's just another bad business from United.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 05, 2023, 10:55:45 PM
The season has barely kicked off and a proportion of Manchester United fans are already disapproving the signing of Onana as David De Gea’s replacement after seeing how he conceded a goal from a long range loop shot which found the back of the net in the game against Real Madrid but Onana has reacted quickly go own his mistake and took responsibility for the goal. It was a silly way to concede a goal, I can’t say if the fans will forgive him easily and move on or continue to drag him for it.
Onana has made a couple of errors in pre season, overall it wasn't costly because it happened in friendly games and it gives him the opportunity to correct his mistakes, so it would not turn costly and happen in a competitive game. It is always good if a goalkeeper is confident and good with his feet, but they have to know when to remain in their goal line and when to charge out, and Onana has to learn that pretty well, he charges too far away from his goal line which leaves him exposed, he better correct that before the new season begins.

The first I heard about Bitcoin when a big organization hack some platform and ask to get paid by bitcoin
of course everything comes with a reason but isn't Bitcoin a Heaven for Hackers as well?
Bitcoin can be used by absolutely anybody, it is free and there is no censorship in the network, hackers and criminals also use other payment options, including fiat/cash.
Im not against it its just i hear here and there that they create BTC for that purpose in the first place so they can get paid anonymously !! even governments and their spies  !! send payment to killers and cuts deals in the black market and so on.
The bitcoin blockchain is open, so you cannot get paid in Bitcoin anonymously, the blockchain can be analysed by chain analysis corporations and transactions can be tracked to the people who made them if the coins are in one way or another tied to their identity. Having said that, cash would be the most convenient way to pay for what you mentioned above and not Bitcoin, yet somehow people are more concerned about Bitcoin being used for illicit activities than cash.
So .. even if Bitcoin saves us from the bank's thieves and governments who control our money system still their are many mysteries about it
I love bitcoin and i think its the best currency ever !! its helps !! it's fast and all of that but still I'm afraid of this DARK side of it
There are no dark sides to it, and the only mystery is we are yet to find out who Satoshi is. Grin
The thing is, Bitcoin is a currency used for payments like every other currency, the network does not police who uses it or for what purpose, as long as they are following the networks rules and have a valid signature to make transaction, then they can use Bitcoin.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if USDT falls down? on: August 05, 2023, 08:14:33 PM
What do you do if you put all your assets in USDT?
The thing is, one shouldn't put all of their assets in USDT, it might be called a stable coin but it can be depegged and people hodling it will lose all of their money. USDT should held for only for a short time and afterwards it is much safer to either liquidate it to fiat or convert it to cryptocurrency that you have some control over, like Bitcoin.
Don't say reasons that it won't happens, because I want to know if something this kind of thing happens in future what will you do?
Of course it is something that can happen, other stable coins have been depegged in the past, and it can definitely happen to USDT in the future. As for what i'd do, i don't hodl USDT like i said already and i don't think it is safe for one to hodl it for too long.

This offer is final from Bayern, and they're hoping Tottenham will decide quickly. If not, Bayern is ready to move on and target to other player.
I'd be surprised if Daniel Levy agreed to this offer, he and Spurs have received countless offers from different clubs for Harry Kane, but Daniel Levy has rejected them all, and i expect this offer from Bayern to be likewise rejected. I think if Harry Kane wants to leave Spurs, he'd have to force his way out of the club by handing in a transfer request, i don't know if Kane is only trying to be loyal and respectful to Spurs and that's prolly the reason why he is yet to hand in a transfer request, or if he isn't just ready to leave Spurs because he is a few goals short of being the all time leading goalscorer in the history of the EPL.

Manchester City managed to win two titles last season and I expect their performance to continue in this season as their coach is one of the best experienced people. I think Manchester City will do great this season under his leadership.
Manchester City didn't win two trophies last season, they won a treble (EPL, CL and Fa Cup), and despite that outstanding feat, they are still favorites to retain all the trophies they won last season, though it definitely won't be easy. Having said that, Pep is so important for City, he is a serial winner who doesn't give any room for complacency, even as City won a treble last season, he would continue to push his players to win it again this season, that is why he is the best manager in the world.

Coach kloop has to sign new midfield immediately before the end of the transfer, they sold Henderson and Fabinho to Saudia Arabia pro league clubs and they are yet to find new players to replace them immediately.
Liverpool already signed Mac Allister from Brighton and Szoboszlai from Leipzig, two very young midfiders of ages 24 and 22 respectively, thus Liverpool have recruited two midfielders who will serve them for quite a long time if both parties continue to stay on the same page.

I think Liverpool need at least one extra midfielfer and a right back, Jurgen Klopp might decide to play Trent in midfield this new season, and if that happen, they will need someone to replace him at right back, anyway, we have over 3 weeks before the transfer window will be shut, so i expect 1 or 2 signings more from Liverpool.

Trust wallet is not a cold storage which is completely decentralized, you may not have the opportunity to adjust your transaction fee with trust wallet.
Cold storage or hot wallets has nothing to do with adjusting your transaction fee, Electrum is also a hot wallet but you can adjust your transaction fee in Electrum, just the way you can do so in trust wallet as shared above by OmegaStarScream. The thing is, trust wallet is closed source, thus it is not a good choice of Bitcoin wallet because their code cannot be verified.

In my personal opinion Mohamed Salah is not able to perform like before. Salah was excellent when Sadio Mane was in the team. It remains to be seen what kind of performances Salah gives Liverpool this season.
I understand that Liverpool were pretty bad last season, thus it was hard for people to notice how good Salah was, it wasn't his best season, but he didn't have a terrible season individually, especially with the number of goals he scored. If he had put up that perfromance in a season in which Liverpool prolly won the league, you'd see that your views of his performance last season would change.

Anyway, Liverpool as a team can do better this season, and i guess they are going to do that, but it would be very difficult for Liverpool to win the premier league, i think the closest challenger to City is going to be Arsenal again.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 03, 2023, 08:22:19 AM
The best ball-playing team in the world filling the gap in defence with a fast, ball-playing left footed center back - you simply knew this was going to happen.
Gvardiol is impressive and he is still very young, thus it is a great signing for City, but i must admit that i am surprised that City are spending this much on a center back when they have numerous center backs who are all on top of their game. There is currently no gap to be filled in City's central defense.

If there is any area that has gaps, then it should be the full back positions, Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo might be leaving City before the transfer window closes and City currently don't have a natural left back. Anyway Pep always has his plans, he might fully convert Nathan Ake to a left back, he played in that position for the most of last season, Gvardiol is also left-footed, thus he can also play in left back, it would be interesting to City what Pep has planned out.
999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should P2P on centralized exchanges should be called? on: August 03, 2023, 08:02:37 AM
i guess the definition of p2p exchange already evolved into something what we have today. this is because a lot of scammers are on the loose without the 3rd party escrow. so just like binance, a lot of traders have confidence to trade on this platform because they have assurance that they won't get rekt.
Don't get me wrong, if you feel confident trading in Binance, then by all means do it, the thing is, it is not a peer to peer trade. A p2p trade doesn't involve a third party escrow, to ensure you don't lose your funds to scammers it is preferable if you trade with parties that you trust, if you don't have any, then use a p2p exchange like bisq and you cannot be scammed because buyer and seller control the funds that will be locked in a multisignature transaction until the seller receives the payment.
1000  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should P2P on centralized exchanges should be called? on: August 02, 2023, 11:49:48 PM
I thought even with P2P, there is usually an escrow who used to hold the fund until the buyers sees the token and then credit the seller.
I think in the case of the centralized exchange, they play the role of an escrow and I don't think it will be wrong if it's still referred to as P2P
If any third party holds the funds, then it is not peer to peer. In a p2p transaction there is no extra person/entity that is involved in the trade, if it is a physical trade, you'll exchange your Bitcoin directly with the other peer, in exchange for whatever the both of you agreed. Having said that, if it is an online trade, the network has a certain feature that protects p2p traders from scam, without needing any escrow or third party, and that feature is a multisignature transaction, this is what decentralized exchanges use, thus the buyer and the seller will both hodl the funds until the seller confirms the payment.
