Hey gang! ya I'm still here lol... been tied up with a few other things,,, Bens site has had over 458 hits since he added Fuji to it, and I have picked up 12 sign ups on Fobcoin from linking to his site  Grin not sure what I will do with all those Dolphin Coins lol He needs to get it listed around the threads,, and on FB etc,, he is dragging his feet typical teen lol ok, will be back hashing Fuji soon. I have been working on a BTC P2Pool Node ,,,, may attempt a pool that way for Fuji once I understand it all. I have fired up my old dell servers and playing with them, looks like I need a new PSU for one of them Sad

Ok, still here and believe in Fuji!!! never give up

Just got this in my email this morning, what do you think?

Seems September is brining all kinds of hashing deals.... lol
2163  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ANN: BITMAIN announces Cloud Hash Platform-HASHNEST.COM on: September 02, 2014, 12:05:42 PM
In the early days of CEX.IO I bought close to 2 BTC worth of mining shares. I watched it dwindle away rapidly as both the cost of a Ghash shares dropped and difficulty went up. I can honestly say if I had it to do over I would have purchased my own gear and gone that route. For the same 1.6 BTC now I think would rather by more mining gear sha or scrypt or simply hold that BTC for investment.  I know most of us are guilty of not knowing when to stop mining and have been bit by the hashing bug, same as a compulsive gambler lol just doesn't know when to leave the table.....
2164  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ANN: BITMAIN announces Cloud Hash Platform-HASHNEST.COM on: September 02, 2014, 11:57:42 AM

The way they make it sound is that you will continue to receive a dividend until the cost to run it each day is higher than the Pay out you would receive.

Edit, so once an S2 makes less than $3.20 a day it will stop hashing for us.  Anyone have an estimate of when that will be?

Well before you get back the BTC1.6 without a doubt.

Selling cloud mining is a way to raise money for the next generation equipment. This wouldn't be so bad if you stood a chance of making a profit as well out of the deal but the chances are slim, and that new equipment will be deployed by them before you have access to it, raising the difficulty and further eroding your returns from the current offering.

ALL manufacturers are ripping off buyers, the only way the equation will start to balance so that BOTH parties make something is when people stop paying these inflated prices.
I agree, I don't see much of a return if any with this pricing. As you said the hardware will be in service way before roi making it even more difficult. They really need to re evaluate their pricing structure. I just don't see it, at least for me anyways.

Dead coin?
Not hardly... how would you conclude to say that? its has a network hash of over 20Gh and growing, and is actively trading on Bittrex. It has become an asset for everyone who mines LTC on most larger pools, that also host uLTC as a merged mined coin.

So, the answer is no, it by far is not a "dead coin"  Wink

The other Umbrella coins forth coming, will offer the same asset protections that uLTC does now. I look for uBTC to be very big and wide spread as it is put in place by mining pools for BTC, which most will offer merged mining for that. Yes we all are anxious to see them launched, but the dev is making sure all is in place after uLTC launch and perfecting the concept before moving forward with the others, which is a wise thing to do.  Cheesy

Hi DougB62, MinermanNC,

I thank your test mining.
I was watching all the way, but the overload of I / O did not occur unlike yesterday. Cheesy

Hey Motty, that's good news and probably was that script writing to HD? ok, lets keep the pool going. Later I may throw some high hash at it for a while see how it goes Smiley

THX

Hi MinermanNC,

NOMP has been improved.
Overload of the I / O does not occur.
It seems effective to achieve load balancing by making pool-daemon independent.

Thanks! Smiley

Wonderful! Smiley Good job

I've mined a lot of Fuji, like the logo
Cool! try to bring more into FujiCoin mining and lend any ideas you may have to how we can get this coin into a real world usefulness lol. As you have noticed it transacts fast and is anon and so on.... a good coin by most measures. No Pump And Dumps with Fuji though! lol  Wink

Any idea who put up over 500,000 in Fuji on Fobcoin? lol, probably not a good idea trying to dump so much and sticking it in front of everyone else's reasonable amounts, and starting sell points on a new exchange... especially when we are trying to garner a reasonable ask price of around 90-100 and stabilize. All it will do is drive down the prices of Fuji to soon, as we will have a price war way to soon.  Grin

Ok, just thought I would mention it  Wink

(that's not you is it Motty or Doug? lol)

THX

No sir! Not me!!! That's friggin' suicide! Dang! Wow!

Ok - calming down now... think happy thoughts... lol!
LOL, I didn't think so,,,  I did however take some counter measures on Fob. but will remove when that ridicules sell amount is gone,,, I was happy with a floor of 90-100 IF we could get it there, but when someone plops down over 500k in coin,, well,,, that's just a bit much... and is a huge sell wall to get over for the rest of us... k, thx for the heads up lol,,,, back to happy thoughts now  Smiley

I found the statement that "minimum difficulty. below 16 will cause problems" at the following site:
bitcointa.lk/threads/stratum-pool-server-node-js-supports-pos-pow-sha-scrypt-quark-x11-vardiff.266694/

So I changed minimum pool difficulty 8 to 16.

I will so far tonight. Wink

Wow that interesting.... lets see how it goes and hashes at 16? maybe that's it, but seems to simple a fix lol but ya never know until you try  Wink

Hi MinermanNC, DougB62

I made countermeasure of the bottleneck today.
I'm thinking the bottleneck is hard disk.

1) NOMP are using redis-server DB.
I have set redis-server does not use the HDD.

2) Coin daemon was outputting a huge log, so I disabled it.

I wait and see for a while.

Back to the redis server , that's what I was referring to, performing a redis-flush possibly? I only read of that as I own 2 dell servers I was looking at attempting to use for crypto... possibly a pool at one time lol

Motty, any word from Coin Game? I have been playing on the site using some old Coinyecoin I had laying around lol, ok lets keep asking them to list Fuji.

FYI

I emailed pool.mn today and ask if they would reconsider hosting FujiCoin again? I informed them that Fobcoin added us and still on Comkort and the potential to get on Coin Game. Also I linked him to bens website and the hits it is having already even though incomplete. Ok, Just a heads up.

Motty I love your NOMP pool, please let us know if its workable to have more miners hashing on it. I feel we could have more miners if pool.mn would open again too  Grin

THX!!

An error occurred again in 18:00 (JST) today.
CPU was consumed by I / O latency.
But, it is unknown what I / O was the problem.
It is likely to take several days to fundamental measures.

Balance of the wallet of NOMP was 267FJC.
It has decreased from the previous survey (~3000FJC).
It means that the payout was greater than mined coins. Huh

Hey that's strange? I am not a server hardware guy but know sometime the sever memory cache needs cleaned SQL etc,, was just a thought as to something I read a while back with continually running servers using SQL not sure it applies with you or mining?
