exactly, you hit the nail on the head, that's my biggest problem with the whole concept

GAW simply has "to many Irons in the fire"  and will put the fire out eventually...

Folks could loose interest very fast in this situation. And some think bitcoin mining in complex? hah  

Its to much to fast is all.. seems to me they are improvising a lot and flying by the seat of their pants a bit....

I'm listening in the background to the live cast form earlier, its all the same ol shit. just another coin trying to be the king coin. Albeit impressively high tech in concept,,, to high... I think their in over their heads at the moment. 

I think the biggest problem is, its all about GAW... total control, your either in through there hardware and system of mining (and pre approved on HT) ,, well, and that's that... that's the problem for me anyways. Still not sure I understand the full scope, but I still feel its an attempt to create a better bitcoin, minus bitcoin lol

And its all so easy, and so much fun keeping up with all the changes almost every few days.... seems to complicated

So lets say you're a big retailer, take Amazon for example. Sure, they could accept bitcoin, it's just software. But they wont, because your investment can go down as well as up. Amazon are not going to sell things for a currency that could be worthless tomorrow. Bitcoin has value right now, but tomorrow the price could fall to pennies and never come back up. This is true of all investments, not just bitcoin

Its my understanding that company's like newegg, overstock.com etc. are hosted by company's like coinbase etc. and transactions are managed and converted to fiat for the seller instantly at current BTC value, thus there is no risk for seller, coinbase excepts all the risk of BTC "falling to pennies" as he says in his HT post. lol So I guess his assumption is wrong or he is just uninformed. The retailer holds no BTC   

He needs to do his homework a little more.

Just for the record: I nor anyone that I could find or read, suggested in anyway they wish anything bad physically against Josh. I just read through the last 8 pages or so, and a few are implying that some are wishing ill upon him? I never said that or suggested that either. In my above post I simply was making a point of everything about paycoin is centered on Josh's vision only it seems, and "WHAT IF" something bad were to happen to him like I mentioned, as purely example only, geez! Someone else took out of context what I maybe wrote and turned it into something else perhaps? IDK.

I used that as an example as for the same reasons the president and vice president or big corporate co-owners don't fly in the same planes, and that is to insure continuity in case a plane went down.... man people can be pinheads in these threads... read my whole post and you will see there is NO malice intent there upon Josh, God bless him I hope he succeeds. But I was implying what if? and who or what would become of paycoin, gaw and the whole shebang? lol and mostly all the people who have spent millions on his fantasy.

Someone mentioned the elders didn't take their meds lol, I may be getting old and a seasoned miner who started on slush's pool, but I would never ever "wish" anything bad like that on anyone (not that I consider myself an elder, yet)

No coin not even BTC will be worth anything if there is no user demand for it. BTC has made great strides this last year being excepted by huge e- retailers and more. Plus NCR announced is incorporating software features in to all of it new register systems for BTC transactions, that to me is a big step in that arena. I am still wondering who will be excepting paycoin?? I mean its all hype and speculation to me so far. I guess ya never know, but I just don't see the need for another digital currency, like trying to re invent the wheel or something lol, and I feel its governed and controlled by one person, at least for now, which cant be good. If something happened to Josh today, like his jet plane goes down over the pacific or something, what becomes of paycoin and his fantasy? Who would be in control and carry on the mission? Its huge gamble for a lot of folks in my opinion.

Just buy BTC and sit back and wait ( 3 months or 6 months) no pun intended

Just seems all of this (hashcoin-paycoin-hashlets-hashstakers etc etc ) has changed and evolved to rapidly. He went from selling mining gear into this huge fantasy of a new world coin to replace BTC, and has been gobbling up believers money so fast, and there is still is no proof or clear business model for viable return to back it all up. Its a bit mind blowing. I think most of his followers are people who will only cloud mine (not actually own and operate their own gear) and are easily lured by his flashy ads and websites, and the promise of hope and change lol, sound familiar?

Paycoin is so advanced, it was beyond the powers of nearly every developer we talked to about it.

It strikes me as one mans fantasy about his own coin concept. Its ok to have a vision but this sounds a bit fanatical.

I just don't see paycoin evolving into something bigger or better than bitcoin. Right now its all in theory and speculation and a lot of great salesmanship on Josh's part. At the end of the day I feel its just another new coin launch based on a nifty cloud hashing service with cute little names for its packages, hashlets
etc.. lol and a lot of hocus pocus. was hashcoin? now paycoin? wide acceptance in the market place? where, who, what when and how? BTC is widely excepted by a lot of big players... so I don't see the whole point here or am I missing something lol. Remember blackcoin? complete with debit cards, staking and even was added to coinkite, so how is all that doing? Then I read 8% of income from paycoin will go back into development and implementation and training? wow big plans lol. Ill say this This Josh fellow is pretty smooth, very smart too! Give me 60 MH of scrypt power and a few good p2pools and I know I will earn more that way then from the massive multipool at GAW. got to give them credit though,,, 1 million in sales in 24 hrs. on hashlets, amazing. I just wonder how much the real ROI is when compared to that for miners. I am still studying all this, but just don't see it giving the mining community anymore in return for their investment then BTC. Before I would spend a thousand bucks on a package with Gaw I may as well just buy some BTC and wait for it to go up lol

I am sure with GAW it has brought in many who would have never mined anything if it wasn't made so easy and accessible for them, so GAW has done well at that and marketing themselves.

(prediction, some will make good money off of paycoin and some wont, but it will never come close to out performing BTC in anyway)

I'm not so sure about the paycoin(GAW) concept, sounds all good, almost to good lol... hmmm ? only really now studying up on it and forming an opinion and whether or not to participate. At first glance it seem centralized, reminds a bit of the hype surrounding blackcoin and the debit cards for it, and the acceptance through use of coinkite etc.... so how's that going so far?

I think if you pump enough money into something, promise the moon and get ico investors on board and sell enough cloud mining contracts you can surely paint a pretty picture for any coin with dreams of being the next bitcoin or beyond... BUT , seems to have that smell of just any other coin that showed promise of becoming the future of crypto currency, only with a lot more money pumped in to it.

Needless to say I am skeptical. Only time will tell. The crypto highway is littered with a lot of "what if" coin concepts... none of which could even come close to dominating bitcoin. So I just don't see it here with paycoin (GAW) yet

Hey Motty, yes seems to be having some activity!

Also, for the time being Coindrone.com is down if you want to remove from front page as a link. I still have the domain and will be back with something soon and keep Fuji front and center. Bens senior project was a success he got a 90 on his final grade. It kind of blew everyone's mind, but I know some took and interest and tried mining for a while.
