Is that wallet, or just a local front end for the online wallet?
I try not to believe the shills here, but I cant deny to being nervous.
Standalone desktop wallets. But it does use the MyMonero backend, right? It's not a fully independent light wallet is it? By the way, it is VERY slick, and a VERY good user experience. Just wondering if it is still technically a "web wallet". Analogous to the blockchain.info android app. I personally can't wait for the web version of the mymonero desktop wallet which is a desktop version of the mymonero web wallet.

we have non-clickable buttons for the wallets on the official website, 1 hour remaining to launch on mainnet...sit tight Wow, unclickable buttons, amazing technology, I have great faith in MoneroV dev team to produce quality buttons and stellar countdown clocks. just wait 1 more hour and they will become clickable, for dowlnoading the wallets from github, they are not uploaded yet, i guess the devs are waiting the mainnet launch and then uploading the wallets Yeah that makes perfect sense, devs waiting on mainnet launch, I just wish those assholes at NASA would launch mainnet already so we can get this show on the road. Thanks buddy.

Is the wallet online yet? I have the private key for my coin, so I suppose it will be simple to claim the fork coin with the official wallet...
The wallet is proprietary technology and can only be obtained by corporate entities who will sign a NDA.

In order to prevent money laundering and other criminal activity, Japan’s Financial Services Agency, is quietly pressuring cryptocurrency exchanges to give up handling Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), and Dash (DASH) and other cryptocurrencies favored by criminals and hackers. Sources close to the FSA confirmed that they were taking all available steps to discourage the use of certain alternative virtual currencies that have become attractive to the underworld because they are difficult to track. In September of last year, the European Union’s law enforcement agency, Europol, released a report that warned “other cryptocurrencies such as Monero, Ethereum and Zcash are gaining popularity within the digital underground.” Criminals, who were some of the earliest adopters of Bitcoin, have increasingly dropped that cryptocurrency for transactions in favor of Monero and other less traceable "altcoins." According to the Japanese authorities, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to identify the recipients of currencies like Monero via a blockchain or any other public ledger. The anonymity makes the coins ideal for money laundering. The blockchain (public ledger) for bitcoin, makes it possible for seasoned investigators to follow the money. Increasingly, cyber criminals choose these new "privacy coins" when they demand ransom payments or engage in sales of illegal goods. The FSA is particularly adverse to Monero, especially after it was reported in January that North Korea may be mining the currency to raise funds.
Long live North Korea, down with Japan, those imperialist pigs!

In this case I find the "short", selling XMV from the air drop, even more appealing since MoneroV goes against something I hold very dear in Monero.
So, claiming the MoneroVs in order to dump them is not potentially reducing the privacy of Monero anymore? As far as I understand as long as you move your moneros to a different wallet before claiming your monerov/classic/original there is no key image reuse issue, do correct me if I'm wrong.

It's in the picture above.

Not to toot my own shillhorn, but there is now a fairly launched alternative (which may actually be the most fairly launched cryptonote ever) that meets the two concrete reasons put forward, but launched with it's own blockchain to avoid privacy degradation issues.
You mean Wownero? No Bitconnect.
