Or they do to fill up the post requirement of their campaign.
Sometimes they do those to earn visitors or clicks to their own crappy articles. Not sure if they earn revenue from those, but surely it is a low value post as what suchmoon mentioned.

Well it's not relying at all in mining from what I got from Wikipedia. Now I am confused on these whole Libra thing as I thought the project just died out back in 2019, due to lack of updates in the news.
It's certainly centralized as everyone inside that association (Diem Association) would be able to process transactions through what they called "permissioned blockchain". Not a fan of those. I never even planned to invest Libra back in the days, not even a tiny bit of thought.

It's their decision and let them be, OP. I can imagine some people here around my area selling everything to even buy some NFTs if they can't afford to get scholarship from other people. It's not a smart move of course. You already know what your life savings are for, and you shouldn't put it into something that would give you $0 or lower than what you had invested.

Offline funds? Do you mean paper money? I mean of course, it just circles back on why you shouldn't spend it all in crypto. How guaranteed are you to buy your needs with crypto near your area?
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MrBeast now teaming with Coinbase to give away $100,000 in Bitcoin on Twitter! on: September 03, 2021, 04:46:35 PM

There's always a possibility of it being staged(at least one or a few); but MrBeast have been doing these sort of "game giveways" for so long now that it's got to the point that them having to stage their game competitions is most probably very unlikely.

~
I can imagine that. There are people trying to point out that he isn't really giving away "real" money.

Also at the same time, there are other people that are simply just saying that he gives from what he is earning in Youtube which should be obviously true. I don't have the numbers on how much do YT'ers earn actually, but from how I see other people quitting their jobs to go full YTer makes me think that Mr. Beast having 67.8M Subs (as of writing this) isn't faking it.

I thought that those giveaways were like just staged back in the days. I guess it is MrBeast being MrBeast. I first knew that guy when there was like that Pewdiepie trend back in the day and Mr Beast like advertised him really hard.
Let's see how these goes though.
1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 02, 2021, 07:58:22 PM
..... The problem is how does one control his mind when there is a huge lose
Easy way. Just get used to it, or just invest those money that you don't mind losing like it will go flat zero.
Thing is some people risk all their crucial assets just to make an assumption that crypto trading would lead them to their dreamt Lambo or even Tesla just because it has an unstable price.

~
It's not that easy. Imagine thinking that loss over and over through the night, and at worse it could lead you insomniac and you might end up throwing more money in the pot just to recover your losses.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to make passive income in crypto with altcoins on: September 02, 2021, 06:26:53 PM

For myself at the moment trading is a good one for me. I do two things..trade short term and long term. Short term is usually to fill my spare time and hone my trading skills in the market . The results from short-term trading I use for daily needs and the rest I save. As for the long term, for my future preparation later...because there are things I want to achieve.
I am curious though. How long do you do your "short-term trading"? Are you day trading or something? I quit my day trading strategy long time ago, because I don't have all the time due to my work schedules.
1988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 02, 2021, 12:13:36 PM

Some are too immersed to crypto and if they made losses in crypto, they'll recover it from crypto as well. It is sometimes digging one's own hole deeper and it just keeps getting worse.
This is why I don't advise some people to just go full time in crypto trading. Sure, it is relevant to do it at these times, but stakes are high for some people especially those who just got into unemployment.
1989  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you have a separate phone/PC for crypto? on: September 02, 2021, 05:38:06 AM
~
I recall someone mentioning here in the forum that having a separate PC that is only for the storage of your coins as well. Those you mentioned are minimizes the cost that you possibly would invest, though many aren't fan of storing it in external storages due to risk of failures of some flash drives not being able to be recognized by some PCs anymore though.
1990  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: September 01, 2021, 08:18:33 PM
Unfortunately, I cant do any of these. I am not old enough to fill out a KYC, so sites like Fiverr, Upwork, etc I cant use. I am the one developing my website, but I cant offer freelance services using my web development skills due to not being able to use Fiverr or upwork.
How old are you, OP? It shouldn't be that hindrance to you that much.
13 and above is allowed to sell in Fiverr according to there ToS. Not sure what KYC are you talking about, but if you meant by using Paypal, you could borrow your parent's account to receive payment there as that's where minimum age of 18 and above is required.
Upwork also only allows 18 and above.

Try to offer your service in here instead, just make sure to showcase your works. Theymos won't implement KYC anyways, or maybe....
I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.

PS: Please edit your original post. There are some people here that don't bother reading your latest replies and keeping on suggesting the same sites.
1991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: September 01, 2021, 06:41:54 PM
~.
It isn't hindrance because it is the opposite of it. It should be the one that should lead you there.
I don't think that's what the OP is trying to point out. It's all about having access into getting "those funds". At younger age, you're still learning stuffs around you and it is going to be really an overwhelming experience.
1992  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto becoming less and less anonymous on: September 01, 2021, 12:21:23 PM
~
It's not supposed to be anonymous or even pseudonymous because it is a third party exchange.
There's no anonymity in crypto, just pseudonymity. If you're looking for pseudonymous trading, do a p2p ones.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ways to trade? on: September 01, 2021, 07:21:59 AM

Bollinger Bands and RSI, OP.

That's one of the fundamental indicators I learned when I started day trading in Binance back in the days. It's not the best, but it should at least provide you the kick-off.

No worries about the exchange though, just feel free to choose whatever exchange you want.
1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should other countries did not accept Bitcoins? on: August 31, 2021, 08:07:15 PM
~

In my point of view Bitcoin is not illegal unless you're trying to scam someone. Bitcoins did not steal money from the bank so what's the point we say Bitcoin is illegal?

Well you mentioned it already, OP anyway. They're avoiding the possibilities that those things would happen. Here in my country, KYC is strict to some custodial wallets involving crypto because they're aware that such transactions aren't traceable in cases of money laundering, which is ironically even happening outside crypto.

Bitcoin is being your own bank. It's absurd to make an assumption that Bitcoin stole something in the bank.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to make passive income in crypto with altcoins on: August 31, 2021, 06:26:15 PM
I'll just go with the long-term trade like holding. It depends obviously to some coins though. Obviously from that amount of knowledge you have for the ways of earning, you know that not all coins are worth the hold.
NFT is still hot these days, like playing games and stuff. Axie is still pretty hot around here in my country and it never ends still. I am not with those hypes though.
1996  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Think twice before making a post on: August 31, 2021, 10:34:30 AM

I'm gonna be honest that I was like those people back in the days that just straight up read the OP and reply it without reading much of the recent conversation that just happened. Someone in the thread corrected me that I wasn't paying attention to the discussion and I learned that the hard way to at least read the recent conversation, in case that the OP updates through replies because some does not decide to edit the OP and just straight up update throughout the conversation.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to manage losses? on: August 31, 2021, 05:31:34 AM
~
Well obviously just move along with it actually. There two ifs that I would consider in these kinds of situation and I might sound like a bit bias from these, but you know it is the market and not me.
First, I would look if the coin even was performing great constantly and it just happens to be like a bear market, if it is in that case and I experienced losses, I would just keep hodling on it.
If it isn't, I am just gonna go and sell it all.
1998  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: August 30, 2021, 07:21:25 PM
~
One of the many ways of adoption of bitcoin has been payment through lightning network, it allow mobile payments without dependent on the network and the transaction fee is very light and smooth but it's centralized because of the channels used in making this payment, there has to be sort of agreement too.
Considering that not many people are still even aware of the LN, let alone crypto, we're still long way to go before we manage to have that "dreamt adoption" that everybody is discussing. Here in my country, there are few people nearby my area that just use custodial wallets to allow p2p transaction. It isn't the full adoption yet because it uses our PHP currency and it isn't purely Bitcoin.
1999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learnt from Someone's mistake on: August 30, 2021, 05:10:24 PM

This is common than other people think. I had seen this being scambaited by some people and playing along with those scammers.  You'll see this in a lot of social media platform, mostly in comment section of ANY crypto-related pages.

In Facebook, it's even funnier because they'll have stock photos in their profile photo and their biography is claiming to be Forex Trader, Crypto Trader, etc. What's covering them is that a lot of fake profiles are tagging those scammers in their post and vouching for them claiming that they even bought a car and a house. They'll have a photo of them having the paper money cashed out and lots of paper I must say.
2000  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dream Bitcoin 100k on: August 30, 2021, 10:59:28 AM
~
Well yeah. I just don't want to hype it too much since there are those people expecting too much in such small rebounds in price. The 64k should be at least the one that others should expect instead of going straight up 100k. Now that these '-ber' months are approaching and a lot of holidays are gonna arrive, who knows how many would sell right now.
