Welcome to Bitcointalk forum, OP. Advices and opinions? Just chill and enjoy having a relaxing conversation in threads. You'll just be fine if you act like you, as what jackg mentioned above me. Just don't do what's frowned upon by the community.

Yeah, I thought there is such a thing as this on a purchased copper member account. Anyway, from what I have understand in the thread created by Theymos, your level of freedom as per restrictions wasn't clearly stated ........ ~ These are the bonuses that Copper Membership offers in terms of "level of freedom". By popular demand, newbies can now pay to have some of their restrictions lifted. If you pay the fee, you become a Copper Member, and you can post images. That's the main point of this: allowing newbies to post images. Additionally (and these might change depending on how things go), Copper Members currently have these bonuses: - Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions. (But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.) - Your "you must wait ____ seconds between ___" counter is reduced by 75%. So if you're naturally of Newbie rank, you only have to wait 360-75% = 90 seconds. If you paid an "evil IP" registration fee, then whatever you paid (in BTC terms) is subtracted from the upgrade fee. If you paid a registration fee a long time ago, you might even get a free Copper Membership due to the increase in BTC price. Just visit the link at the bottom of this post to check whether you have it already. I am aware that for most people the benefits of this membership are pretty lame. This membership is only intended to fill a specific niche; if you don't need it, don't buy it. It is not intended to be the lower-cost Donator/VIP alternative which I've talked about before as a possibility. I wrote the system so that I can easily add additional paid memberships in the future, but I might not ever do so. Not sure. You can buy it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promoteBuying CM also whitelists your account in terms of the PM restrictions as from what was mentioned in this thread:

I think for beginners it is better to join social media first, it is also possible that there will be a lot of stakes for beginners. It ain't much for social media from what I can recall, as I never read any bounty threads for a long time. The advantage in social media, again from what I can recall, is your followers/friends. I believe Twitter Audit is still being done these days to ensure that followers are legitimate and not just plainly dummy followers. If you're pointing out beginners in the forum, I would advise not looking into bounties first as this is a forum not an earning platform.

It is slow. We can't expect that government will "fasten the adoption". Surely it will get the attention of their citizen, but they aren't the one that will surely enhance the rate of adoption. Here in my country, I don't hear a lot of news for adoption pertaining cryptos even Bitcoin but on the good side we got ATMs in the metropolitan area.

You remind me of philipma1957's signature. It's a better analogy imo. I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions. My thoughts about the other cryptos you mentioned? SHIB gets pretty hyped a lot since Doge got hyped since somehow they both resemble the same image but not the coin though.

It's not only about the price, OP. It is also about the freedom that Bitcoin gives to people, well you know the decentralization. I never bothered to get myself a CR/DR cards. I invested back in 2017, the same year I registered in here so that I would be able to read a lot about "what's more" about Bitcoin. Until now, I am still holding some of it to be honest. No point for me regretting the earlier price of Bitcoin.

Well obviously Bitcoin. It's already going around the world actually. Maybe not that adoption that many people imagined, but surely it is the one that it is getting the attention more than the other coins out there in the market obviously. People still prefer traditional method just because they feel safer in banks than in decentralized currencies.

Most of the knowledge I got were all from youtube, but as what mk4 mentioned, specify what do you mean by "understanding trading". Learning indicators? Learning the UI of whatever exchange you're using to trade? There's a lot of what should be covered in understanding trading. It's becoming popular, but it's really hard to learn the ropes if you're expecting to earn in your first day.

Sounds like an exit scam. I can't quite connect what you're saying in the first part though. Investing in a platform but then watching ads to earn? I am aware of these microtasks that allows people to earn by watching certain stuffs, mostly they earn points from it and redeem through Paypal. I am not entirely sure what's the connection of it with Binance, unless that "company" that your friend mentions pays in token and was exchangeable in Binance.

Ok duh, this isn't "I earned bitcoins to help me with my finances" kind of comment/reply. There isn't really place or event involved, but maybe person, because someone from far that I had connection of managed to ask me for emergency funds that he needs and because of this pandemic, where health safety is pretty much my priority and should not go outside as much as possible unless it is really necessary, but this one really takes the most of my at least "current" use of Bitcoin where I was able to send my friend my BTC since he is somehow not really into too much crypto but he knows how to have one and how to hold one. It saved me from going outside, because the day after that transaction happened, there was large increases in cases here in my city and I couldn't imagine what would happen if I still tried to send through money transfer. I don't use bank cards now, so wire transfers isn't an option.

Because most of newer project tend to get dumped and it loses value the day after it just gets listed in its exchange. You can't blame these people including me. Back when I was day trading, I thought that those that were in top 10 coins in CMC or CoinGecko remained but I was proven wrong. I couldn't count how much changes happened in the ranking and I am not even sure if those coins that went below the top 10 still have any value (excluding stablecoins).

I just hope that you're not relying too much on those, just a tip. Sure you might end up getting paid, but what if you don't. Right now I just looked into Bounty section and there were tons of projects popping up with just a single refresh. This applies to airdrops as well. They're not the one to pay your monthly bills or even any of your liabilities. Trading is okay, but kind of hard to grasp on as a beginner.

Gonna highlight this point. I did day trading at my first time trying to get into the field of trading and even with the use of tutorial from Youtubers like Cryptojack, it never went well for me. At least I got to know few indicators though, but earning from it is a different story for me. And yes, most of them lose money. This is why I stayed for long-term investment for now.

Different reasons to be honest. Most common that "it is illegal" to some countries is that how it is pseudonymous for the holder. The fear of having money launderers that are pseudonymous is one of the factors. This is why many countries that at least "regulate" the use of Bitcoin do their usual KYC implementation when it comes to people looking to use custodial wallets. They're pretty much strict to it to be honest. It's not that all about earning.

Quite common that we all had our regret in not being able to put some of our $$$ in Bitcoin back in those years. It just links up that to what made us got into here first. I had moved on from my regret that I didn't cleared my misconception about what Bitcoin is. I thought back then that it was a currency used by criminals only, because they were widely used in dark web.

I'll add up to this. If someone sends you a voicemail or an email claiming that you bought something that you didn't buy and wants you to call the number they provided to cancel the order, check your bank transactions first. This is a common refund scams. If someone also calls you claiming that they're from MS, Amazon, or any reputable companies and tells you the same thing I mentioned above, it's a scam. They don't call you for those.

#1. It really depends. Do you have stable income right now? Keep in mind that we're still in the middle of pandemic, and there are many unemployed right now. If you don't have a stable job right now, don't think that crypto will be your "stable job". It is a nice icing in the cake but that's it. #2. Well surely we're getting a lot of dips, but still too early to declare that it is bear market.

This. Even though most of the stuffs now are all in technology, it's still likely to have an issues on how those who will inherit your funds use it or at least even move it around wallet to wallet. Unless that custodial wallet is used, which is unsecured, people having to interact with your fund would still need to learn about how technological terms like "private key", "wallet seeds" and stuffs mean what they're for.

Congratulations, OP and welcome to the Full Member rank. I also went from Member rank to Full Member rank and we're kind of in the same boat that it was some sort of "adventure". Just continue contributing on the forum.
I didn't manage to create a thread when I ranked up due to my schedules that I might not be able to maintain the thread, but I would say the same as well as thanks to those pat in the backs I received.

Having merits to be implemented first before ranking up is a huge help actually to help spammers or those who shitpost just to rank up faster. Back in the days, chronic account selling is the reason why spammers or bot keep popping up almost everyday that's why sometimes the forum can't take the loads of these and sometimes undergo on a maintenance for a couple of minutes or even an hour if I'm right. ~ Ah yes, this too. Back then I read that it wasn't that frowned upon too much, but due to hordes of spammers it became like something worthy to be tagged by DT members. Back in the year that I registered here (2017) I recall a lot of accounts selling happening in here which is just insane. I am happy that merit system took care of that for goodness sake. Moving forward, the last account selling I ever read this year is just from that donator account that put his account for sale.
