Nice!
Actually I have that HoneyGain installed to my mobile phone and desktop PC as well. I got free $5 credits when I first registered there. Too bad I cannot enter the "Content Delivery Server from my PC, because it is always full and I was always in queue. Heard that they would expand the server capacity soon, but hey who knows. Cheesy

Limiting it to the ranking of the users here should do the trick to prevent some of the possible scams. Possibly with merit requirement to make sure that the user is active and participating in the forum. I'm thinking of the problems like misclicks towards the link and could contain malicious contents or something.
OP talks about in-forum links only wherein no links that would redirect outside the forum, so there is no possibility that people would just be able to insert links that have malicious content into it, unless it redirects the user to a thread here that contains that link to a malicious website.

This is not TG, but I had seen people especially my colleagues building up communities in Discord. You might be able to find more people there than TG, since not that many people are really familiar with TG and Discord is a bit more popular, so that is just my suggestion.

Yeah, they're pretty much a waste of time without a network of active referrals.

But they can still be used to promote your reflink/ website. That's what I've been doing. Turn those sats into (rubbish) referrals Grin
I never tried doing referrals though. How was it in your end?
Most of my friends do not give a single crap for a single favor to at least try my referral link to any earning platform before.
I wonder how better it is with active network referrals like yours? Smiley

Faucets are just waste of time now, unlike before. Some faucets require a ridiculous amount just to get the satoshi out of their wallet. I cannot imagine if I was doing those back in 2014s when they were like worth waiting every 5 minutes or even an hour. Cheesy

For airdrops, just steer clear to those requiring a lot of your personal info. One attempted to phish me into their fake MEW site long time ago.

Trading and any sorts of business out there is already a gamble. Predicting market is easier said than done, because a lot of news out there plainly just throws numbers out there and mostly our prediction comes from those as well.
Somehow when you lose in trading, you can still get something out of your losses, but in gambling, you obviously lose it all.

Careful of number 1 though. Team members should have at least an established LinkedIn profile, as just by saying that they work for Google does not prove it all.
I can say that I work for Microsoft, Amazon, Geek Squad (lots of refund and even tech support scammers claim those), and some people would just believe me if they did not bother to check my background and if it is even legitimate. From what I can see to some scam projects from SA board, some even use and photoshop to fake out those stock photos.

This pretty much sums it.
It is just those people being subtle in their emotion, but their running thoughts spells their emotion. Having no emotion is purely BS for a human being. You cannot stop having emotion to everything regardless of what situation you are in.

If you suspect that a user is cheating with alts, just post it in this thread and just contact the CM/BM handling the campaign regarding the "cheating issue".

Every CM/BM have their own ways of handling their own campaign, OP.
Your suggestion could be read or considered if given a chance, but it is still up to the CMs/BMs themselves whether they would enforce your suggestion or not.
1890  Other / Archival / Re: Hyperlink under the avatar on: October 02, 2021, 02:43:35 PM
I got a bad feeling that some users would sneakily promote scam project/s in there.
And what prevents them from doing the same in their avatar and signature? (There's a personal website option too)
It is just more sneaky way, as what I pointed out due to font sizing. Not sure if many users tend to read PTs that often.
Signature and avatar are easily visible, imo since they are mostly the other things I see aside from the posts made by a user.

I agree what suchmoon said above you that is should be limited to higher ranks though if it will be implemented. Smiley

I don't read personal texts that much, since it is mostly just like another option to personalize your profile, not sure for other users though.

Speaking of this, I never encountered any paid groups being promoted lately when I just started looking around in Google just to get a good read about trading seems like it is only in some selected sites.
Resources out there are free anyway to learn anything. I learned programming without paying any courses anyway, and yes, same goes with the basics in trading when I was still learning the ropes. People think that buying courses would make them instantly expert without any effort done in their end.
1893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't speculation and volatility a problem for Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2021, 01:17:35 PM

This and that is why many regulation comes up as well. The "uncertainty" becomes like a way for a single holder to either become broke or a millionaire in no time and at the same time, this one makes people to use stablecoins instead of the common coin that have unstable price.
To old holders, I don't think that the "uncertainty" or "volatility" will matter much that now.

That is one of it, but as mentioned in the previous replies, it was all about the airdrops.
I see lot of ETH fake giveaways wanting people to give their ETH in a certain address and they will be doubled.

It is an obvious scam since it is done by random pages with 0 reputation, and what's alarming is that it is getting fake vouches from fake profiles. I had seen this in a lot of Facebook post. It is almost a scam pit there when it comes to crypto.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto misinformation is turning into an issue for people new to the game. on: September 30, 2021, 07:57:31 PM

Thing is scam would be always everywhere. Everything that would involve money and worse it is being done digital. This time I am wondering if my colleagues are going to be scammed anytime soon, now that NFTs are like pretty hyped here in my country and they buy this and those relentlessly just because a certain "someone" referred them that it would go 8x or even to the moon. It is a dangerous world out there, OP.

OP, this thread seems to be more fitting in the Altcoin board since it is not focused that much to Bitcoin.

Same thoughts as this.
Putting it as a meme coins just makes it like something not to be taken seriously. Now you made me recall of Musk's hype to Doge back in the days, when he chooses to hype it over Bitcoin due to "environmental effects" that he claims about Bitcoin.

I heard a lot of casino use Doge though, at least that is what I heard of its actual utility other than another investment.
1897  Other / Meta / Re: How can i unbanned my account? on: September 30, 2021, 12:46:05 PM

It is okay to have an alt account/s, as long as you are not breaking any forum rules.
There are higher ranking members here using alts to separate their business accounts and accounts that are only used for discussions. Some even have separate accounts for the purpose of using the forum while connected to unsafe networks.

In your case your "alt" was banned, therefore your other account should be banned as well as you are already ban evading at that case using your other account while your alt was banned.

Have you read what was told in previous replies? You cannot create new account.
You will get banned regardless, due to ban evasion.

You were focused on bounties from what I can see from post histories of both of your accounts, and I am not surprised that you don't know that ban evasion is against the rules. Roll Eyes
1899  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some cryptocurrency scam to avoid. on: September 29, 2021, 07:37:26 PM

2. Ponzi scheme: I believe this scam pattern is very popular right now. They will ask you to send your bitcoin or any coin, and they will say that after 24 hours or a few days, they will double your money, and you will not hear from them again. And I believe it works primarily on newbies who don't understand what cryptocurrency is all about; they believe it's just a place where you can quickly double your money or make money, so please be cautious and avoid all those types of people.
~

4. Personification: This is another method used by scammers to steal money from people. For example, some may create accounts using a celebrity's name or a social media account using a project's name that is fake and use it to scam people by providing fake giveaways.

~
Mix of these two.
I encounter it a lot in Facebook especially in crypto news pages. Either they are claiming to be a legitimate page of the news, but you will see that they zero likes/followers or a randomized name with an obvious stock photo. They are claiming that they are full-time trader in their bio and most of them would like you to contact them through WhatsApp.
Sad that Facebook does not give a crap from my hundreds of reports to those fake profiles/pages even if I requested a re-review of my report again.

Mine is a bit stretch and they want me to contact me in either their Telegram or WhatsApp.
They are claiming that they can 8x my money within a week, and they have these stock photos in Facebook claiming in their bio that they are Forex trader, crypto trader and full-time crypto investors and all that kinds of stuffs that you know that makes money from investment.
They want me to give them $100, and they just did not know that I baited them a little bit.
