2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i find alt coins before they explod on: August 11, 2021, 07:40:53 PM
~
Primarily looking in Binance is a bit biased to check whether coins are even gonna be "potentially good". There are pros and cons in each exchange and on how Binance almost tries to make its user do a KYC verification made me retract what I said before about it being my favorite exchange.

For overall searching of coins, just go to CMC.
2082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign Token on: August 11, 2021, 07:38:42 PM

Well yes technically due to the location on where the promotion happens. In social media, you don't expect a lot of people to know about NFTs, DeFis, ICOs, IEOs, etc. Here in the forum which is crypto focused primarily to Bitcoin, expect many people are aware of any of those terms I mentioned previously.
Potential investors are sure to be lower in social media regardless of how many people are using those sites right now.
2083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions should never be traded. on: August 11, 2021, 06:54:42 PM

It's possible to gain, but remember that there are many shitcoins out there still, OP. Don't "put a tiny percentage". Just invest what is something that you are not worried losing. In this unstable market, you can still lose everything in your portfolio.
Oh and yeah, the emotions. It is part of us and how we function as a normal human being and we're not robots to not have emotion.
2084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoins on: August 11, 2021, 06:49:30 PM

Easy. Just DYOR, OP.
Gem coins speaks for its own meaning by the way, because there are many shitcoins in the market. It could be either copy pasted blocks of codes to make the similar coin or just simply those pump and dump schemes.
Don't expect different people to just go and answer you honestly about the best coins.
2085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Convince me that bounties paying in anything other than Bitcoin are worth it on: August 11, 2021, 11:50:11 AM

Indeed. Welp hunters will always be hunter. Worse is that they are also risking their reps here in the forum. I recall some DT members tagging users that are promoting ICO scams back in couple of years here in the forum as a warning for few days before the tag becomes permanent.
Those hunters are just gonna get what is coming for them.

2086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why be allowed to create tokens with the same names? on: August 11, 2021, 11:47:15 AM

If the copycats just make a thread here, it would be better to just report it.
If it has its own website, better report it to the web service being used.

It is sad, but scammers will always be scammers regardless of their morals outside crypto. It would be best to reach out to the original project of whatever token it is and let them know that a lot of fake copycats claiming to be them are scamming or worst, phishing a lot of people.
2087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: obstacles for jr member rankings "signature" on: August 11, 2021, 11:40:03 AM
~
Not everyone actually. There are some reputated members in here that never earned a single satoshi here in the forum, nor they do want to wear someone else's company signature.
If you're almost always occupied to your full-time job, you wouldn't look for another sidelines actually. You'll just most likely be infrequently active in here but still keeping up with the trends and joining discussion like an ordinary forum member.
2088  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Work To Learn And Not To Earn. on: August 11, 2021, 11:36:41 AM

Merit already made it harder for newbies to see it that way, and it is really effective for sure. Surely even existing merit abusers these days that are trying to help those kinds of newbies will surely run out of sMerits.

It sucks that we gonna have to live with it. Even by searching "Bitcointalk" in Youtube gives me a result on how to earn Bitcoins there.
2089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of the altcoins projects are empty shells? on: August 10, 2021, 07:57:41 PM
~
Well what can we expect, OP. See how many pump and dump projects are out there being manipulated by those who hoards those shitcoins and just dump it out overnight making it lose its value.
For the use case of the project, most of it are just gonna be carbon copy of another existing project like what hugeblack mentioned above. It is just all for quick profits and they go out and exit scam.
2090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bots on: August 10, 2021, 07:54:23 PM

Never became fan of those trading bots.

Using them solely is like depending on a piece of program to give you profit and that does not even make any sense. They can only do what they are programmed for. You still need your own analysis in the end.
2091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: August 10, 2021, 07:47:18 PM

I am pretty sure that handicapped people are not gonna force themselves to use Bitcoin if they are experiencing difficulties using the modern devices we got these days. It's not like bitcoin would replace the papers right now actually, OP.

Though if they would really like to be involved in crypto, I believe that there is such "Accessibility" feature in every phones these days that allows them to use the phone without having problems.
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you'll Sale bitcoin on today? on: August 10, 2021, 07:44:02 PM

I would somehow agree with how the pattern seemed to say the another bull run to come. Not entirely fan of reading the charts too much, but it is kind of a bit of good news that we're seeing greens right now actually. I would take either of it, but we need at least to get something to sell a bit. Cheesy
I don't mind another dip though, and I'll just buy more.
2093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in a gas station on: August 10, 2021, 10:19:13 AM

That's quite sad. I just hope that you can still trade Bitcoins in your country. Having Bitcoin not being legal tender does not make it illegal though. At least people can still somehow do some behind the scenes transaction where they can use Bitcoin under the radar without the authorities knowing. Just not gonna be too noisy.
2094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market adds over $140 billion in one day on: August 10, 2021, 10:13:04 AM

Many could have feared that they might miss out on the opportunity for some quick buck, that is why they just went straight up and jumped to Bitcoin. 40k+ is still quite pricey even if it was from 60k, since back then everyone had eyed on 20k+, but then when we look at it, it just went insane. Cheesy
2095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: August 10, 2021, 10:02:36 AM
you must be a tough guy because it is almost impossible to stay away from altcoins , i have traded at least 100 altcoins some of it was scam some of them went to moon but in the end i believe best strategy is find the strongest project like sol , link , dot , egld and hold it can u imagine what happens if u find the next ethereum at the begginning ?
Yes it is possible. If you're into long-term hodling BTC, most likely you're gonna just root with it and never ever look again into other coins.
You could be trading other coins, but in the long run, it is still gonna be BTC.

Should I also call myself a tough one? Roll Eyes
2096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Covid-19 affect On Bitcoins on: August 10, 2021, 09:55:27 AM

You're kind of wrong that Bitcoin will be something that could be source of income, OP and please back your 50% statistics that people are gonna look for and invest in it. They are not gonna risk  their money during pandemic just to get losses again.  Even if there are SCs, it is not reliable and stable to carry their needs monthly.
2097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 09, 2021, 08:11:01 PM

Quite weird that I have never ever heard anything about cryptocurrency in television shows nor movies. The least were only on the news but they were introduced really bad to me by it and somehow it lined up to what you about criminal thing.
In youtube, I was introduced to Bitcoin in a really wrong way that it is just criminal's currency in the dark web.
2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments prohibit developers from creating a new coin? on: August 09, 2021, 08:06:50 PM

Aside from what I also mentioned previously, if they were able to forbid something crypto-related. They could have done the same already to Bitcoin long time ago before it even went mainstream.
They just do not have the choice right now but to either adopt it, live with it, or just ignore it and continue with their duties governing whatever they are into.

3)SEE THIS FORUM AS SOURCE OF INCOME:
I have recently came across so many posts which ask how to earn money on the forum and was surprised to see how new members perceive this forum? They simply make an account to join bounty campaigns or for signature campaigns to earn money not as an member of discussion forum which is sad to see. The primary goal is to learn and share knowledge so work on it rest comes with time.

~
Don't be surprised anymore by this. From the looks of it on how it gets introduced in Youtube, I am not surprised that a lot of newbies are in it just for bounties.
Just like this:

This was the first result that came up when I simply searched for Bitcointalk. Good thing that merit system was implemented though. Cheesy

I am really looking forward for the Bitcointalk Youtube Channel being discussed in Meta section.

I think he meant that it is about "reiterating" the same opinion all over again without adding more substance or value.

You and I might like pineapples on pizza. I said that I like them because they are sweet. If you said the same thing, there's no value. You could say you like pizza not just because they are sweet, but also because they blend well with the other toppings of the pizza and not just because they are sweet.  Just giving you an example scenario here. Smiley

Eating pizza right now to be honest, while I am writing this. Cheesy
