1921  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Additional Requirement from CoinsPh on: September 23, 2021, 06:47:21 PM
Cheesy

I just hope na di naman maging inconvenience ito further sa atin in the future. Cheesy
No choice tayo kung mag implement pa rin niyan in the future kasi nga madami silang features na nagagamit natin.
Cheesy
1922  Economy / Reputation / Re: My bitcointalk account got misused by my friend on: September 23, 2021, 04:50:20 PM
I handed my account in 2017 and by then I used to have good reputation here. Then he started paid posting of some crypto based scams and something similar to that. Although I have edited those posts but still the other users opinion will still be there.
You can check difference in posts by the end of 2017 and before that.
Just by saying that the "account changed hands" in that year would just make your case even difficult. Surprised that there isn't tag yet to you that "the account changed hands", as it is obvious that it isn't you that was using the account to post that whatever scam post that was.
Who knows if the one even posting this is you or your "friend"?

Only way for you out of this would be just like what others mentioned above. Contribute and see where it goes. It is not gonna be a fast solution for sure.
1923  Other / Meta / Re: Where can I find signature campaigns ? on: September 23, 2021, 02:31:55 PM
~
Aside from what was mentioned above, there are also SCs in Bounties section in under Alternate Cryptocurrencies. I would just be wary of choosing one though if I were you.
I wouldn't recommend joining a signature campaign of a brand-new and unlisted token. The Pharmacist explained why here. But if OP is interested in altcoins, he could try and join a campaign of a coin/token that is already listed on exchanges and has a somewhat respectable trading volume. Those are hard to find, but he might be lucky. libert19 wears a signature of one such project - Digital Gold. Maybe there are more in the bounties board.

Yup. It is just a matter of one's diligence anyway. BTC-paying SCs are still the best way to go.
I just stated there that OP still has the options to look also in the Bounties section, but just be careful of choosing one if the OP isn't able to participate in BTC-paying SCs.

I read the cries of many BHs in Altcoin Section not getting paid after 3 months of hard work. That's the worst that could really happen aside from delays.

OP is in Member rank anyway. There are few open spots for him/er in some of the BTC-paying SCs in the Services board.
1924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rich people causes cryptocurrency ban on: September 22, 2021, 07:23:57 PM
~

I have said this previously, Those people in power right now don't want their traditional ways to be changed so they will do everything in their power not to change their present methods even if that means banning bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.

Mostly because they're comfortable in old ways.
Not only that.  They don't want richer ones to hide their own money without them being involved nor have knowledge what's going on behind every traces of transaction.
Government has a lot of alternatives to make cashless transaction and crypto won't be able to just change the minds of the government to make them adopt crypto nor make crypto the "traditional" medium of transactions. They know that they don't have the control and that's why they're against it.

I just hope na di naman maging inconvenience ito further sa atin in the future. Cheesy

Back in the days, when I thought of buying ETH I was thinking of making it coming from my BTCs first and not just directly buying it from my custodial wallet even if they offered holding ETH as well.

Many are pairing alts with BTC when they trade, coming from my experience when I day traded back then also.
1927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 22, 2021, 10:22:28 AM
~
Unless it were all downs, then you should be fine since you mentioned that you're having up and downs. Trading isn't all about profits, OP. Even the experienced ones get losses to and not just you.
Consider learning other strategies as well. Are you day trading or is it another strategy?

Still kudos for that longevity of continuous trading. I never lasted a week doing that strategy, and that's why I just did long-term holding.
1928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you determine which cryptos to buy during this dip? on: September 21, 2021, 07:10:57 PM
For short term investment
Just check the charts of each coins you're "planning" to invest. Most likely you'll have lower prices in altcoins during these dips, just don't end up buying a shitcoin. If you think that you're risking it "too much", stick with Bitcoin as what sheenshane mentioned.
1929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if I don't know how to trade on: September 21, 2021, 07:07:02 PM
~
I wouldn't suggest buying courses immediately when still trying the waters. Everyone can trade, but trading is not for everyone. I stopped trading because the time needed does not fit my schedule, and if I bought courses immediately, I would have regretted that kind of decision that I should have invested for long-term in Bitcoin instead. There are free resources out there anyway and there are some doing tutorial in YT as what you mentioned and I think that's sufficient enough. I would only buy course if I am "fully committed" to trading.

you can join social media bounty campaign while you are trying to rank your account, I think it will be easy for you since you are a good poster.
Social media campaigns are mostly joined by newbie account and you don't need to rank up for them as you could see most of the enrolled members in such Bounty campaign are newbie or junior rank and he can have hands on them now only and will find many still running. But the main problem is that they are just waste of time according to me for various reasons like :

- As soon the projects end and tokens are distributed then all started dumping them on listed exchange and the prices went to zero and you did not get that much prices
- Sometimes the company is scam and did not pay at all
- You get yourself into that small trap and never rank up your account by effective posting

So be focused on learning and having bitcoin and crypto knowledge.Rest all will come to you with time and experience.

This is why social media campaigns, from what I can recall, have a low allocation when it comes to stakes. Before even a day passed, there would be a tons of pages of application or authentication posts. Not sure the max of participants allowed to some, but I never see those getting full. It's not that even profitable, in my opinion based on stakes, unless well they pay in fixed rates but I rarely see those before in Bounty section.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: September 21. HUGE dump! on: September 21, 2021, 10:17:16 AM
~
Bitcoin falls like around 5-10% and people are already calling it bear season.
OP, I believe that this was predicted by some people in BTC board that it will dip in 45-42k. It's just the normal correction that we all experience almost like every month. Just buy it out before we recover back again in 50k.
Like that certain meme said.

1932  Other / Meta / Re: Is it time for them to get a higher rank? on: September 20, 2021, 07:53:22 PM
~
Maybe you're right, but at least the merit will help them rank up for their contributions to the forum. Reporting posts to mods may be done secretly without many people knowing unless the user is willing to make it public themselves such as acmyname or the list is made by the admin. Forum badge? Yeah, that seems like a good idea igehhh. But I think it will cost some money.
Most of the members mentioned in the OP would just rank up in no time based on their merit history in the last 120 days. Forum badge is sufficient enough as what igehhh mentioned.
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: September 20, 2021, 07:41:19 PM

Those numbers aren't a joke, OP. I guess the mindset of "risking something that is worth losing" is already in your uncle.
I just imagine how would it feel to at least have connection inside the crypto space though. I was referred to invest also in Bitcoin back in the days, but I lost contact with that friend of mine due to them moving out.

Just a tip there, OP. Let them explore the coins that "they feel" worth the coins, because they still need to get used to the volatile conditions of the market. It isn't the same as stock market trading from your uncle's experience.
1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins as collectables in the future on: September 20, 2021, 05:21:21 PM

I wouldn't expect it regardless. Sure, it might get revived in the next decades or so, but let's see how would those even last long. They are just one dump away from investors. That certain "NFT" popular here in my country are just few coins to get one already and I believe that it was really hyped in my area a lot and now that hype drains out really quick, it is now almost not reported a lot in here.
1935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: He who have ears let him hear on: September 20, 2021, 11:27:45 AM

This was actually my issue when I checked out localbitcoins. Good thing that there are such ratings that can be seen there. I just don't trust that much those people that are asking for a bank deposit before they give you your Bitcoins. It's more sus, than those that you can meet up around your area.
Never did a p2p trade there. I did only one for my friend at the least and at the best.
1936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What we think is a quality post on: September 19, 2021, 02:09:00 PM
There is no question if you will contribute even two stanzas of your post if you think this is given high-quality post that can give satisfaction to the OP post.
~
It doesn't have to be a whole biography of contribution. Just try to contribute at the best as you can, and no need to skip sleep over a single contribution if it is a reply.
This is a forum, and we all should be relaxed just having conversation/s within a thread.
1937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I the only one having this feeling?🤔🤔 ( #Bitcoin ) on: September 18, 2021, 07:06:06 PM

I somehow relate to what you're saying there. Cheesy

I am a bit "late" investor, even though there are no such thing as being late in cryptos especially Bitcoin, since I started in early 2017. I just registered here late, because I wanted to at least read other's experiences and news about Bitcoin.
Without Bitcoin, I would probably one of the bank slaves thinking that's the only way I can transact without involving any paper money.
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The greedy must be poor on: September 18, 2021, 05:45:11 PM

Well because they're long-term holders. I won't exit it all when the coin I had invested aren't even getting adopted around here. It's too "early" to sell for me as as a long-term holder.  This might be in Altcoin Discussion, but for the record, I am holding, of course, Bitcoin.

"Price can't go up all the time". Yes, right but same goes that price can't be down all the time as well.
I sell partially though, but it isn't that all-out sell. Technically I sold, but what I invested are all still there. Smiley

Why people plagiarise in the forum and how to avoid plagiarism.

Hence the Brainless/ Braingain list. Honestly every campaign manager should implement what you do to show they mean business Grin

~
It reminds me of SMAS back in the days in this thread: [SMAS] Signature Managers against Spam (light version).
Maybe one day, we'll have v2.0 of these reputable managers. Cheesy

It's sad that Lauda is no longer here in the forum though.
