It's like they went from being very active to nearly inactive on Bitcointalk overnight. That doesn't inspire confidence in a custodial service.
Yeah it looks like they just disappeared and gone underground, but I think they are still working on making serious changes and introducing new privacy features with exchange and other improvements.
I know some developers are doing similar things when they want to focus and do more work in shorter amount of time without distractions, but maybe their campaign manager Hhampuz can say if he had any contact with them recently.

Sad smo ozbiljno smo blizu chipmixer payrate.

At the moment I am no longer accepting applications, although it is possible that I will accept a few more participants.

Nevertheless, we also open slots only for avatars [when applying, specify "Avatar"].

1443  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 39 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: August 08, 2023, 09:40:20 PM
Added sorting to our website. Now you can sort all the hardware wallets by Price, Year, Warranty, Weight and Screen Size.
Nice update.
I see in last few weeks many new similar websites starting to appear for hardware wallet comparison and I still like yours the best, but athena-alpha.com is doing a good job also. Smiley
One recent correction for you, Keystone 3 Pro is now open for orders and discounted price is $90 in next several days, but I don't see Keystone 3 regular version available for purchase.

1444  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Keystone 3 HW coming soon! on: August 08, 2023, 09:27:16 PM
Has anyone passed the Keystone vote?
I don't think it really matters because they already made a decision, and this was just a way to get more attention from people.
Like whitelisting was not only for people who applied on twitter, it is for everyone in next 6-7 days...

In my opinion, they give too short a life for their relatively expensive wallets.
And where is the guarantee that in a couple of years they will again not offer everyone to switch to Keystone 4?
Expensive?!
Price was always around $100, much cheaper that Trezor T, ledgers, and most other hardware wallets offered today.

Anyway...website redesign is now complete, but Keystone also released yet again new Keystone logo, and they are officially releasing Kestone 3 Pro version for discount price of $90 (plus shipping).
This is currently one of the best deals for hardware wallets and price is fair in my opinion, but I more interested in Bitcoin only version or one with removable battery (they are thinking of releasing this in future).
I listened latest interview with Keystone CEO and if I understood correctly this new bitcoin-only wallet will have totally different name and branding.

https://keyst.one/

The Trezor One and Ledger nano S were released in 2014 and 2016, respectively, and continue to receive updates to this day. Keystone is ending support for two generations of its wallets (3 Cobo models and 2 Keystone models) in a fairly short period of time. Personally, I no longer trust their products.
This is bunch or crap and incorrect information, and ledger has the worst hardware wallets in the world.
Ledger model S stopped manufacturing, ledger X uses worst batteries ever, they have a bunch of old models that ended up in graveyard, not to mention all the leaks, closed source code, recent disaster with Rec0very crap, etc.

UniJoin given some information here, the version is limited and maybe you will get it for free or it will be randomly distributed, the charged balance is 0.001 bitcoin and you can withdraw it, they do not provide a service where you can buy hundreds of these cards so it is a collectible item.
I wanted to hear answer from official Unijoin account but they just decided to ignore all my questions and concerns   Tongue

I believe that these questions were asked after the drama provoked by yogg, which swept all the Cold Cards he issued. Knowing that such unfortunate incident happened once, it is normal to be afraid that it can happen again.
Obviously.
I am not interested in watching Yogg 2 movie scenario all over again, and we literally have zero information about Unijoin cards, private key generation and shipping details.

I tried today to access the Tor version of the website but it says "The connection has timed out". Besides, the clearnet version of the website is down for about 2 weeks now. Does anyone else encounter this issue?
WhirlWind onion website works fine for me with Tor browser, I just tested it few minutes ago, but I agree they should finally fix the clearnet website, unless they decided to drop it all together.
I also haven't seen whirlwindmoney member in forum since July (more than a month ago), and it would be nice to hear something from them about this issue.

1449  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by betnomi (20 000 $ worth of eth and btc) on: August 07, 2023, 09:52:17 PM
It seems like Betnomi team was delaying the KYC verification process and rejecting the documents intentionally to not pay the users. There are a few more complaints about the same thing on their telegram group. You may check the post history of boroBTC. The user had sent a lot of documents, but Betnomi team was requesting more documents from him. Another user is waiting since the middle of June month to receive his 0.9 BTC withdrawal on a KYC verified account.
Someone should try to collect information from all other users and maybe try to connect them all.
Maybe they will have better chances of contacting missing owner and recovering their funds, or at least try to create lawsuit against betnomi if nothing else works.

There is no way to verify OP's bet as Betnomi is down. But he has made two deposits for sure and provided the evidence above. Betnomi team wouldn't ask OP to complete the KYC verification if he didn't make any withdrawal request.
I am not trying to defend anyone in this case, I just wanted to hear the full story because I am suspicious about everything, and we obviously can't hear the other side of this story.
1450  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PST.NET IS A SCAM!! HOW I LOST $27,000 IN BTC. THREAD BELOW on: August 07, 2023, 09:42:38 PM
Virtual address is a convenient way to settle the office without extra costs for administration matters. That is a convenient way in a modern post-covid world to manage a team and we believe that our corporate office preferences should be of least concern in this matter.
This is a lame explanations and it has nothing to do with convenience nor with post-showid world because you probably never had any real office even before lockdown stupidity, but I would love for you to prove me wrong.
If you have nothing to hide please post your real team members name and images, since you want to comply with regulations, I am sure revealing this information is simple for you.
I can't wait to see who are the real guys behind pst.net.

I emailed them three days ago, inquiring about the status of my refund, but I have yet to receive a response. I am now ready to supply them with the bank transfer receipt, which includes the bank statement, the receipt of USD conversion to BTC, and the transfer confirmation from my business partner's wallet to mine
It does sound suspicious they are ignoring your email, but it was weekend and maybe they had off days in their virtual office(s)...
1451  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz using his position on forum to vindicate scams on: August 07, 2023, 09:31:32 PM
Because I don't want to be targeted by others.
So you don't want to be targeted by others, but you want to target other members aka Hhampuz  Tongue
I never liked when members don't have enough balls to use their main account for saying what they want, and any accusations coming from alt accounts chicken is losing any integrity.
I am sure accused manager was not asked to defend any of his clients, but he has full right on his own opinion and he can say whatever he wants.
If I was in manager's place I would never blindly defend any of my clients, but that is just me.

I know signature campaign guys won't care to step up because Hhampuz will not take them into any campaigns in future.
That probably includes you as well, right?
Maybe that is one more reason for using chicken alt account.
1452  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: August 07, 2023, 09:23:29 PM
If you have ideas to enrich this project, I am available to hear them.
Adding simple dark theme switch would be nice, but this is nothing urgent, and maybe it's better to try and solve issues for Tor browser.
Maybe one small suggestion for update is adding navigation buttons, like forward, back, and redirection to home page after previous upload is completed, maybe with asking a simple question like this:
- Would you like to upload another image or close page?

1453  Other / Meta / Re: Is resetting a BTT account password bad? on: August 07, 2023, 09:08:38 PM
Is resetting passwords that bad, or why was this option even added there? Will the message disappear after 120 days?
There is nothing bad in resetting your password, and it can be good for security if done correctly.
Only way changing a password could be suspicious is for account that woke up after long inactivity, drastic changed of writing style, that could suggest account changed hands.

4. I always think of BTT as a highly valuable platform. I'm in fear that my BTT account would get compromised someday if I saved my password in an online place. So I never saved my password anywhere. (I know I should have used a diary to note down my password.)
Diary?!  Roll Eyes
Why would you use diary when there are perfectly good open source password managers like KeePass?
Trusting your brain memory to remember all your passwords, or using one-for-all password is worst thing anyone can do.
Note that good password should ideally be long and randomly generated, that is not something you can remember or write easily.
1454  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Mixin Safe - Decentralized Bitcoin Custody Solutions | Review Campaign on: August 07, 2023, 08:23:09 PM
Bitcointalk username: dkbit98

Let's start from the beginning.
I first though this is going to be simple procedure to set up all wallets and create multisig setup, but soon I realized I need to spend fair amount of time to download and set up everything correctly.

Mixin app is free so I downloaded latest version, and I knew it is based on well known signal messaging app and I knew they are asking for phone number registration.
This is the first thing I didn't like, but I found a way around it and I managed to registered account, that can be used both as messaging app and as cryptocurrency wallet.
I first though this is a cool idea since it supports Bitcoin, Monero and many other coins, but than I realized that I can't download and/or export private keys or seed words, that probably means that app is custodial.
I also can't set my own fees and I saw comments on google store from other people who complain that fees are outrages high.

I went ahead and changed settings in Mixin app to increase my privacy, but I had one small issue with trying to hide my phone number, and I will explain it later.
After setting up my PIN and changing settings in my main Mixing app, I created another account on different device that served as my Messenger Contacts and as Emergency Contact.
I tried finding account with username but it only worked after I typed user ID number.
I tested removing, adding contact again, changing username, and everything worked fine.
There is also Mixing desktop app, and I downloaded it and connected using QR code.

I wanted to test all Mixing products so for this purpose I used Morning Key as Owner Wallet and installation procedure was not complicated.
Paying $1 dollar for app is not a lot of money for this app but I decided to download free APK version available on website, since I used deg00gled phone for this testing.
This time I generated seed words and save them in offline in safe place, and I continued further.

I had a small problem with Mixing Safe because I tried to open with disabled option for phone number, and I couldn't create it until I returned and enabled sharing of my phone number.
I tried talking with Mixin chat support, but nobody was responding, maybe because of different time zones or they don't have enough people for this positions.

I went ahead creating Mixin Safe and I needed to pay 2 pUSD in crypto, and I selected USDT and overpaid fee microcents, but I was later refunded using EPC inside wallet.

First strange thing I notice in Mixin safe is that this is beta software and nobody should send more than $1000 worth of crypto?!  Roll Eyes
I would probably not send even $100 after reading this red banner, so I decided to send much lower amount for this testing.
Only two coins are available for multisig, Bitcoin and Litecoin so I had to proceed with LTC, but initially I wanted to try testing with XMR.

I managed to deposit LTC and create Mixin Safe, and after that I withdraw LTC back to my own non-custodial wallet, and I had to do all procedure in reversed way.
It all worked fine more or less, but I had few small bugs along the way and I had no support from their support and I had to figure it out myself.

My Final thoughts:

Mixing Safe is an interesting concept but I have to say that I don't like the final product.
I really don't understand exact purpose for this much complications for beta software that can hold maximum $1000 with risk of losing it all because of some bugs.
Setting everything up is not easy and newbies would probably need hours to set up everything, if they ever manage to do it, and I don't think Mixing Safe is good for them.
Experienced Bitcoiners will never use Mixin Safe for multiple reasons, when they can create Multisig setup themselves in much safer and quicker way.
On top of everything I said, people using Mixin Safe will pay additional fees and they will have risk of exposing phone number and other personal details.
A lot more improvement is needed for this service to gain more popularity, and I won't name any competition services here, but easier alternatives use multisig setup or shamir secret sharing.

Shit, imao sam mjesto unutra i odjebao ga zbog Whirlwinda.

Jel itko gledao kakve Avatar only kampanje? Tko uopće nudi to?

PayPal pokrenuo svoj centralizirani stablecoin PYUSD izdan od Paxos Trust-a i u potpunosti jr poduprt depozitima u američkim dolarima, kratkoročnim trezorskim obveznicama i sličnim novčanim ekvivalentima.

Week 13 payments are on the way. We have open slots.  Embarrassed

  • Some rule changes and notes that I want to announce.

Code:
Pay per post is now $6 (up to 35 posts).

- Posts published after page 15 will not be counted.
- Posts that do not carry a semantic load or posts whose content is less than 200 characters will not be paid.
- At the beginning of June, it was announced that the MixTum Campaign would be a long-term one, and at the moment this remains unchanged.
- We also have new avatars that will emphasize the individuality of each participant in the campaign.

1458  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betnomi scam exit & past winners must be careful with Betnomi-branded wallets on: August 05, 2023, 11:04:55 PM
If you can not verify genuine of your wallets received from Betnomi team, it's safer to move all your coins in it if you have ever stored any coin in it, then wipe out that wallet forever.

With their scam exit plan, I think they probably set up some backdoors to plan stealing more coins from more victims.
There is a risk with all hardware wallets sent by Betnomi for several obvious reasons, but I also don't trust ledger either and I am not sure if all modified devices can easily be detected or not.
I hope nobody received any devices with previously generated seed words written on paper, that would be obvious way to scam someone, but I don't think they would try using this trick.

Best thing is to stop using all ledger devices and switch to Open Source alternatives like Passport, Keystone, etc. but for people who don't want to do that can visit this links to check hardware integrity and if devices are genuine:

Thanks for kind words. I hope the manegement behind betnomi will come back to atleast pay what is owed. One cant say anything for sure about the future, but laying down is not an option.  Here is links to the eth and btc deposit
Tell me one thing, did you complete any KYC verification for Betnomi website or not?
I can see from email screenshots you posted that validation failed and proof of address was rejected back in June, so it's not that simple like you say.
This is not me defending Betnomi and I am not support any KYC verification, but it seems to me you didn't the us the full story.
You did sent them coins, but you could also spent them on betting and we don't know what happened after this.

PS
Leaving coins on casino, exchange or any centralized website is never a good thing.

You can see they are not responding anymore. PST.NET is a SCAM!!!
Is there any chance you can find rest of information they are asking from you or no?
I gave them temporary negative feedback for now, but you can go ahead and create flag against them, so that other members can review and support it.
My feedback can be corrected later if they change their decision or consider returning confiscated coins to you.
