Is it still .25BTC/share? Im kinda confused how this works but on GBLSE I have a buy order on FPGA.contract for 4 shares @ total of 1BTC...this correct? And, by spending 1btc I will get divdends weekly...and not have to spend more btc? right?

2.0.8 is about 7mh/s slower than 2.0.3 on my HD 6950 =./
Havent tried any versions between 2.0.3 and this one

wait, why install it as a service? why not just a entry in the system startup registry?
because, this hides the miner window entirely, and because services start w/ the PC even when noones logged in.

Will this be able to install on a jump drive? I would like to be able to install on a flash drive, run the program, but then stop the miner, remove the jump drive and be on my way. It's an easy way to test it on many computers and show friends how it works without loading anything on their comps.
Would you recommend I stick with pooler's .exe?
No, this is an installer, its designed to be run from a flash drive but it then becomes a windows service which starts at windows bootup. The link to the uninstaller also just uninstalls everything from a system. If your looking for a simple, launch from usb drive then show it off then shut it down and everything remains on flashdrive then this does not function that way. This is designed to install to the PC in a minimal amount of time and walk away, yet have it mining. Yes, in every case use poolers miners. If u decide on a solution like mine, then you dont need any miners, my packaged installer already includes and executes poolers miners.

My miners seem to be working fine but.... I noticed both LTC and TBX have 25hrs since last block found and 2 blocks are being recorded as found at the same time for those chains....is this correct or is something messed up? Seems messed up...

UPDATED TODAY , 12.19.11 - now uses POOLER's assembly miners. Much better throughput, 32bit miner now works. Script is fully functional.

POOLER!!! YOU FUCKIN ROCK DUDE! I knew you could do it and I had a feeling assembly miner would freakin own! Fuckin awesome dude! Thanks a ton! If anyone is wondering - I updated my service installer w/ the new binaries and both 32bit and 64bit now work properly!

Webpage is down for me but seems miners are still working....will website be back up soon? whats goin on w/ it?

My service installer simplifies mining as well.... go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50464.0download the one that says "prompt" input your pool and mining credentials... hit ok and it does the rest. DO NOT USE on 32bit windows, its pointless to use on 32bit windows and the miner just crashes.
|
|
|
Want the simplest way? Use my service installer found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50464.0use the prompt one and just type in the pool and user credentials and ur golden. Do not use on 32bit windows...there are no decent miners for 32bit and its not worth it anyways.

|
|
Just remember this one simple rule of thumb for scrypt miners (tbx, ltc) If you are gettin above or around 1kh/s/core/ghz - you are running the proper miner =)

Yes, LTC all the way, hands down! Best CPU coin out there atm. It also has the least amount of drama surrounding its developer and the network as a whole. Probably the least BS coin that exists other than btc =P Also, u can use my service installer if your on windows machines for easy mining. It dont work w/ 32bit machines though, the miners themselves are broken. Here be the link to the post for them... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=50464.0

Bump.
I'm also having a similar problem. Whenever I try to initiate pooled mining, minerd.exe crashes (Win Vista 64-bit). I'm just setting up litecoin now, so I'm not sure if solo mining works without minerd or if it just hasn't given me an error yet.
I look forward to hearing more about this in the future though.
Shouldnt be crashing w/ the 64bit miner...if it does, ya have other issues I would think.

Tarkin,
If you install the new one (with prompt) and specify a different pool in the prompt, would the new pool or old pool (specified in the text file) be used?
Thats a good question lol! But, after glancing at code again, the prompt will superseed the miner.txt, the new version ignores miner.txt pretty much. The original version is good for mass network distribution, the new version is good for a per computer config individually.

I have it in the working folder, the miner still crashes =(
