Wishful thinking here, but wouldnt it be awesome if this shutdown announcement is fake and our bASICs magically arrive in march? =P hahahaha...
2063  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 24, 2013, 07:16:12 PM
Ok, Tom and I are circling around each other a bit without speaking directly.  Two days ago he asked me to roll off the project and he would do the refunds himself.  Later that night I wrote him an email suggesting that I finish up the refunds process, as it is a complicated bit of work.  After the forum posts and no response for two days, I took it to mean he had considered my proposal but was moving forward without me.  I waited until late last night to write my departure post.

It looks like Tom got my message a few days late but is taking me up on the offer to get these refunds finished.  So I'll dive in - I'm glad to be able to see this part through.

Ill believe it once someone comes forward and states they received(and isnt lying) BTC refund as of a week ago and going forward.
Till then, ur all a bunch of scumbag scammers. I dont care how sincere urs or toms posts seem.
2064  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 24, 2013, 05:10:57 PM
Very interesting ..

As for my theory, I believe bASIC was a lie from day 1 .. the moment it randomly appeared on btcfpga's website as a soon to be released product .. it was a lie.
My question to the community is .. outside of tom & dave's word.. is there actually any proof of any aspect of the bASIC project existing? I dont recall any.
This all could have been a very intricate scheme to get as much BTC as they could. They could also have planned ahead that of course CC orders would be refunded one way or another, I think they were truely after the BTC portion(since noone has actually claimed refunds recently in BTC).
Sure, tom & daves posts before the last ones all seemed genuine .. filled w/ sadness of seeing the project fail & promises that everyone would get their refunds. But, in my world, someone who is truely genuine about something this serious .. does not run from the community and stop all communication.
Before dave announced he was no longer involved, he claimed he was sifting through the 'tons' of refund requests .. yet days later .. what he just decides to 'stop'? or .. was he really doing that to begin with .. or did he actually finish .. if it was the latter, where is our god damn money?!

Guys if you stop and think for one second, this entire project, from day 1 could have been planned down to the bitcent exactly at what point to announce this / that and status of this / that .. next the deal failing, furthermore the guarantee of refund and finally the disappearance of all parties involved in the 'project'.

Its funny too, the last ditch effort for them to take more of our BTC/ $ was in the form of the hosting services.. amidst chaos of the refunds / bASIC asic itself .. they had the nerves to try n milk more from the community ..

Its just truely upsetting that noone in the BTC community can be trusted anymore. The only way to somewhat safely pay for services / product is through escrow and even then... who says you can trust the escrow providers ..
The only guarantee your not getting scammed is to be the person receiving the BTC .. and thats a shame.
=(

mark my words... he is no longer refunding people. It will be a miracle if anyone, further, gets their refund BTC back =/
2066  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 24, 2013, 03:52:51 PM
Tom used bitpay .. I think, for the btc tx .. Doesnt that convert it to USD for the vendor? .. if it does theres no way hes sitting on a pile of our BTC, he spent the USD or something. Im sorely dissappointed in dave tbh. I think he should be a man and stick it out till we all have our $ back .. not run away like a pussy. I mean really? All those stupid fucks in the btcfpga channel who banned me.... whos fucking laughing now! - turns out I was right. Your btc is gone - 99% chance at this point.
2067  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 24, 2013, 03:44:02 PM
Wow, look at that, turns out I was right. Scam from day 1 of bASIC. This fucking sucks, Im pissed.. bye bye yet even more btc =( .. its so sad how fiat ended up being superior for a project like this. .. I mean really.
2068  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 24, 2013, 05:18:06 AM
guys - face the truth - its a fucking scam. Deal with it and move on. This has dwindled down to being just like pirateat40, well cept tom apparently did refund some...but as for since then... yeah. Its the end of the day here and I still dont have my btc refund. Hes lying. Its fake, ur btc is gone. Just as I predicted weeks ago, yet been banned nearly everywhere for saying so...

this forum will be locked from this point forward - if I need to tell you anything else I will post again otherwise you will not hear from me

ROFL.... so basically hes high tailling it out of here...thats probably the only truth to the entire post. We shall see bout everyone getting their $ / BTC back - I suspect thats part of the lie.
2070  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 23, 2013, 07:41:47 PM
keep in mind ... there was no proof of bASIC actually being anywhere in any plans for actually being designed / developed / fabbed / .. NO PROOF whatsoever. It could be completely fake, all these stories made up by dave / tom .. its entirely possible, it indeed could be a sad truth. Who knows .. at least the people who got their refunds are doing fine...
2071  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: January 23, 2013, 05:09:29 PM
I don't believe the hacking story of Tom's account but let's give the guy a second chance.

Back on topic ?

Tom, refund...

Give tom a second chance? youre joking right? This guy has been given more chances than anyone ever in the community. Hes still dragging his feet, no  word on refunds in 4 days now, no word on product...cept this random rambling shit(hacker or not)..
I think its time we stop giving him chances .. tbh .. hes screwed all of us over enough(myself included). What, is it going on almost 2 weeks now since many of us have requested refund of BTC and none of us have gotten it....

BTW - my refund status - ordered 1 36gh unit, payment type BTC, was discussing w/ dave in email 1.5 weeks ago why not got my refund, he promised next day would send BTC, it never arrived, since then hes never gotten back to me in email.
2072  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 19, 2013, 07:27:14 PM
If hes so serious bout customers happiness in getting them their $ back.. where the fuck is my refund?!

2076  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC customers - Are you quitting or switching? on: January 15, 2013, 07:00:44 AM

2079  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pay On Target: New High variance payout System Offered by Ozcoin on: December 22, 2012, 06:02:42 PM
Still waiting for some really lucky shares to offset the near 20% loss last couple days... Come on you gazillion sided die! Lol
2080  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bad news for bASIC - not shipping til mid Jan at best on: December 20, 2012, 08:52:20 PM
negatory -

seems like the only news lately is the bleak possibility of there being news "soon"

LOL the pattern of news matches that of pirateat40's response to the community when the shit hit the fan ..
