1684  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: CGWatcher/Miner starts, CPU voltage drops??? Why??? on: July 29, 2013, 02:45:55 PM
Its normal for a CPU to go to slightly slower voltage when its being highly utilized. If cgminer is throwing a core to 100% while mining, this is why the voltage is lowering(given you have no other hardware issues).
This is known as vdroop...
This happens even moreso when overclocking.
In the bios there are vdroop correction settings you can enable / disable.

But, if this never happened before while mining and it just started. Its possible w/e configuration you had before never caused cgminer to use high cpu, OR other hardware issues have surfaced.

Hi TF, I was wondering if it at all will be possible soon / now to import private key list from bitcoin-qt?
I use blockchain.info wallet along side my bitcoin-qt wallet(same keys in both) for ease of access and backup.

1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TERRACOIN ATTACK OVER 1.2TH ATTACK CONFIRMD on: July 24, 2013, 10:15:35 PM
LOL this is hilarious, the attacker is making mega BTC at each diff reset to low, Im watchin coinotron and once diff gets high, he must stop mining and let it reset to low or something. then starts right back up..
Man, the people on coinotron are trying to get in on it but the blocks are being all orphaned =(
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TERRACOIN ATTACK OVER 1.2TH ATTACK CONFIRMD on: July 24, 2013, 10:05:52 PM
ha diff is 42k now, no longer profitable, congrats to those that got on the quick BTC @ coinotron =)
The hashrate went from hardly anything to nearly 600GH for TRC while it was goin from 5k to 42k diff =P
hilarious...
1691  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need Avalon setup HELP [1 BTC] on: July 24, 2013, 07:31:47 PM
shit, I would steer clear doing anything on the avy using its wifi, just askin for a fuckup.. =/ imo
1692  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need Avalon setup HELP [1 BTC] on: July 24, 2013, 04:52:15 PM
The problem is, all he has atm is DSL jack -> DSL modem -> ethernet to his PC. The modem is not a router so his PC has the external IP settings / pppoe auth.
Meaning, he cant have more than 1 device working on the internet till he gets a router to put behind the modem.

All I want to know is whats the proper way to reset the avy?
1693  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need Avalon setup HELP [1 BTC] on: July 24, 2013, 02:52:03 PM
Ive been helping him out remotely guys, He indeed does not have a router which is goin to buy today.
Once can get rid of his silly pppoe connection in windows, which is interfering with freakin ethernet interface, that will weed out 1 of the problems.

Whats the official method to reset to avy to factory defaults? Ive looked up how to do it on that tplink router inside it, its stated to just hold the reset button 10-20 seconds then let go and light should flash for a bit indicating its on factory defaults.
I guess we will find out once we get the LAN setup behind his router when he puts it in =P

I will assist ya if you can get back into its interface =) what exactly did you change and how is the avy currently hooked up to the network via ethernet?
Is your goal to leave it on ethernet?(I hope cuz its wireless sucks)

1699  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 17, 2013, 02:55:48 PM
is there any module being obstructed by the power / data cables going from it to fpga? I noticed my top 2 modules had this issue right behind the fans that blew on them, those cables were blocking like 20% of the airflow... moving them to the side of the modules freed up this blocked air ... causing drop in temps for the lower module & probably the middle one.

Yesterday my avalon started showing a super high number of hw.  Almost 75% of the accepted diff1a shares.
For instance shares 100000 hw 75000. Any ideas on what to check?

Found out that running any temps higher then 41 starts giving hw higher then 70%.  Im using current firmware from cgminer and using ethernet not wifi.  Anyone able to help or any have ideas.

What clocks / temps?
