If ya glue another pcie slot to your motherboard you might be able too =p

Im currently a casual gpu miner w/ only 1.7gh or so. While the current unknown future of btc mining is at hand, i think i will just wait to see when asic companies actually deliver, and adopt to asic when they become more mainstream. In the meantime ill run my gpu's aslong as profitable =)

BTW guys, this still works =) figured with the recent uprise in LTC, Id bump it up if anyone can find command and control remote CPU mining LTC useful =)

Yeah for sure, id say hes nearly perfected hopping.
Why "nearly perfected"? 150 - 200% PPS without you having to manage anything or spend hours keeping an eye on pools to check their html doesn't change, then editing the regex when it does? I haven't used it but if it does everything as advertised, I'd say it's as good as it can get. I said nearly perfect because perfect would be predicting all blocks with 100% accuracy. Thats simply not possible but this is pretty dang close!

I like it a lot so far. We have been pretty dang lucky recently. Seeing 150-200% pps. More people comin on board nearly daily! Will contiue to see how it goes

I couldnt easily find this anywhere, but whats the proper json format for the new "restricted access" feature? vs full access for remote API accessing of cgminer?
I'm not really sure exactly what you mean by your question - but the API-README contains all the info about the API ... Edit: If you mean the command line parameters then they are in README for the basic command definitions and more details in API-README figured it out, it was the api-groups addition =)ty for pointing me to api-readme

No, that temp (28c) is awesome for the core. My concern would be the VRM's those are pretty dang hot. I try to keep my VRM under 100C. Also, I dont know what the max current rating is for the VRM's or even if there is such a thing given they stay under their temp thresholds.
Also, I dont know what the max fan speed is for the 5870 but running at 100% speed will kill that fan pretty quickly.

Are shares being accounted for properly even though the stats page seems "stuck"

Even crazier than the diff skyrocketing will be when all these ASIC's are up and running, and something within the protocol will need to be changed and all those ASIC's become useless, bringing power back to GPU & FPGA miners =P Or btc will die out and a alt currency which employs something different in its algo will also cause BTC ASIC's to become useless. So, hold onto some of your GPU's everyone =)

Sent PM to OP .. interested =P

can anymore tweaking be done to lower rejects / invalids? Im gettin bout 1-1.5% on pool currently. That aint too bad but, could be better. abcpool I see like .5%

I've seen the same on a MSI 990fx on the first 1x slot the other one works fine. Not much help I know but I'm fairly certain its not a motherboard issue, and it wasn't a faulty extension cable. So my guessing is it needs a powered extension cable or your using all the pcie lanes on the board with your other cards.
If you were using "all the other lanes" .. the card wouldnt be detected at all...

You're awesome dude! Thanks for donation =) Just remember in the future with stuff like this, swap out as many components as you can and see if you get different results. If you dont then, its just how it is most likely =P, if ya do try n figure out which is the culprit.

yeah, doing the short sense trick wont help anything. Its just a sense override, if the PC detects the card the override is not needed.

I noticed a speed drop w/ one 5970 in an X16 slot and the other on an X1 slot using power injected extension cable. Its about 5mh/s difference between cores on my particular setup, but yes, not nearly as much as your posting. Someone mentioned to me once the extender cable could be bad, in this maybe you should double check, try another cable.
Other than that all I can think is try a different BIOS version on the motherboard. If that doesnt change anything, verify the results in a different board if you are able too.
