You edited to say 1 left.  1 game?  Which one?

naw I meant 1 code for all three games =)

I dont know if its my rigs or what but 3.1.1 is horrible for my gpu's on both rigs.
I get random HW errors on different GPU's after restarting cgminer, even after having it rebuild the kernel files. Random HW errors...
It takes like 3-7 restarts of cgminer to not get HW errors...

I run 7 x64 w/ 11.12 drivers on my 5xxx rig and 13.4 drivers on my 7xxx rig, same phenomenon.

I revert back to cgminer 3.0.1 and rebuild the kernel files, changing no settings ... everything works fine. No unexpected HW errors...

anyone else experience this randomness?
Are you scrypt mining? Earlier scrypt kernels would unintentionally hide hardware errors at high diffs...

nope, not scrypt, diablo...btc mining

yeah, thats why active PFC tends to survive a voltage surge more often than not, cuz they are extremely flexible ... and past the 300v range is when ur surge suppressor starts to clamp.

another request, can ya add btcoxygen? =)

well that component is part of the VRM for the CPU, which part of the CPU can be the tough part to figure out. If its a phase for the cores, RAM or integrated graphics.
Was the CPU / RAM or integrated GPU oc'd? the phases could have been pumping more current than designed if so.

Nothing oc'd (although the board supposedly supports easy oc with 3 oc levels).

yeah, Im gonna go out on a limb and say the mfr skimped somewhere on the RAM / integrated GPU VRM current handling capabilities(if scrypt mining both of those would be heavily under load, if just sha256 then the integrated GPU would be)
Or, alternatively, one of those mosfets was just defective to begin with.
1869  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Do GPU cards work fine for gaming after mining for 2 years? on: May 20, 2013, 02:52:41 PM
From my experience ... nope. Ive had 100% of my 5970's go bad over time mining. I think my 5830 & a 5850 is still good for gaming. The other 2 5850's have their own issues that prevent them from mining.
Ive run all my GPU's at 75C or less, more often not over 70C
The VRM temps on my 5970's have always been 85C or lower.

I think its mostly cold solder issues that end up creeping up over the life of mining, 24x7.

Now that I have 7870's mining, will be interesting to see if can game on them after done mining with. Maybe theyve improved the quality of PCB assembly / soldering since the 5xxx who knows =P, but at least they have a warranty in case not.

I was also there at the conference.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that Yifu stated they can produce about 50 Avalons a day once their new line is running and calibrated.

Yes he did. Should be interesting when they get to that point.

the question is how long will it take to get through the "up and running & calibrated" =/

is this pool still operational? I try to point my cgminer to btcoxygen.com:3333 w/ the worker & pass I created and it refuses to connect.

are worker shares & hashrates bugged again? My hashrate display has been the same for the last 5 hrs, and shares havent incremented. Luckily at least the shares are being counted because my balance is going up.

to those w/ ati driver problems in windows, I had tons recently when tryin to get 6 gpu's workin in windows 7 from a diff mix of gpu's.
I gave atimans uninstaller a try and it worked wonders! cleaned every single trace of ati driver, after fresh install of new driver - the 6 gpu's worked perfectly!
1879  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GPU Boost on Radeon 7870 XT on: May 16, 2013, 04:38:07 AM
I got 2 powercolor 7870xt's .. very interesting.
Their asic quality is 12% different from each other.
One is around 74%, the other is 62%

The one thats 62% I have to keep at 1115mhz @ 1.131v to be stable
The 74% is so far, at 1140mhz @ 1.088v

Quite a large difference and Im still testing.
1880  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What is the best clock ratio for ATI 5970 on: May 15, 2013, 10:07:32 PM
whats "best" depends on ur goal w/ the card.
Assuming ur mining btc -
If your after highest hashrate possible(higher power costs, longetivity of card extremely short, high temperatures, less power effecient) then leave the voltage stock and run highest GPU clock possible. RAM speed is fine around 300mhz

If your wanting to conserve the life of the card, run it more power effecient, lower temps etc...
Then leaving voltage between .95 - 1.025 w/ clocks around 690ish / 800ish respectively .. while RAM @ 300 - is pretty nice.

I run my 5970's a max of 1v @ 760-770mhz core when its getting warm out, so the fans dont have to work their ass off to keep GPU @ 70c
The cards run amazing @ .95v 690-705mhz ... nice and cool, they will last forever.
My GPU temp I target to 65c & lower and it seems like a nice medium between temp & fan speed, I adjust clocks / voltages depending on the weather, to try n stay close to that as possible. VRM temps are 70C and below.

One big thing w/ 5970 is one bank of VRM's runs about 10-20 hotter than the other for one of the GPU's... if your VRMs sit around 90C+ 24/7 .. expect them to not last very long. VRMs max temp is around 120C, but they were never designed to do even close to that 24/7

So, double check VRM temp & misc GPU temps w/ gpu-z while mining.

Ive had almost every 5970 Ive owned end up developing bad RAM buffers(wether from blown VRMs or cold solder or w/e) - no longer are able to do 3d, but can BTC mine just fine. So, theres huge inherent flaws to these cards. Many miners sell them under such condition w/o even realizing it.
One of the used 5970's I picked up on here had the same problem, right from the start - luckily I got a healthy refund =)
