Gonna implement auto payout thresholds soon? =)
Also, how long is 105% payout goin on for?

thats pretty damn effecient, wonder how much less it would be in watts if mem was dropped.
2284  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Anyone actually got mining results for a 7950? on: June 15, 2012, 12:57:47 AM
thats quite incredible, the 680mhs approaches 5970 speeds
Wonder how power comparison is though...
Thats on a 7950 too?
2285  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Anyone actually got mining results for a 7950? on: June 14, 2012, 04:45:32 AM
My two 7950's get 510 each clocked at 1010.
Whats the power consumption on those? @ that setup.

About 169 watts each. That was measured by taking the 409 watts I measured at the wall, subtracting 72 for the system, and dividing by 2.

Minus the PSU inefficiency...
Either way even at 169, those are pretty efficient cards. hrm...

2289  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: mining with pcie16 to pcie1 adapter on: May 29, 2012, 04:11:27 PM
You gotta be careful, I fried one of my older mobo's not using a power injected extender cable and a more power hungry video card(5970).
So, either buy one of those x1 -> x16 cables for cheap and modify it for power injection(there is a guide somewhere on forum here) or buy more expensive already made power injected cables.

Also, depending on ur board you may need to short the sense pins on the PCIE x1 slot for the video card to even be recognized. You can easily tell if u have to do this by whether the video card is 'detected' in the OS(or if this is the only card on video output on system, if monitor shows picture or not when u turn on PC)
There is also a guide for this on forum but not sure where .. lol
(I also had to do this on my older mobo), many new board this is not needed.

Also, FYI, it is true that pretty much anything can still be done on a x1 width slot / video card, except high bandwidth applications such as gaming and other 3d intensive stuff. Mining itself uses very little bus bandwidth.
Heck some people even use PCI -> pcie adapters and still mine on those cards. PCI is a shared bandwidth of up to 133MB/s! (much less than pcie x1)

now that is downright AWESOME!
2291  Economy / Goods / Re: .22LR Handgun on: May 18, 2012, 05:44:36 AM
Wanted one of these a little while back. Sucks to see you sellin gun collection for BTC =(, guns rule, would take guns over BTC anyday!... guns is for when everything else fails =P
2292  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2012-05-16 huffingtonpost.com - What The Bitcoin Experiment Started on: May 17, 2012, 07:52:16 PM
That was a very well done article. Missed the fact a bitcoin is actually worth 5$ and has been for a while now, but w/e.
2293  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Trinity Reviews are up - A miner in every chip. on: May 15, 2012, 04:09:42 PM
yeah, trinity = ultimate for minerd mining because of XOP, BD uarch is one of the best for LTC mining.
Then you have the GPU for btc mining .. haha =P def good news for botnet rofl!

So, if ur putting on little fan / heatsinks, these things will be whiny little bastards huh? -- LOL
2295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 800Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: May 14, 2012, 11:14:27 PM
So, Im curious will the fpga's themselves come w/ the heatsink pictured? Will this be suffecient enough cooling to perform @ 200mh/s / fpga?
Or will I need to go find HSF's for them as well?

No, We've updated the boards to allow for bigger northbridge /  older GPU heatsinks, the new design also includes 4 fan headers. We plan on putting a heatsink/fan combo on each fpga that will dissipate around 25 watts of heat which is more than enough cooling for these FPGA's. Heres some examples:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119079
http://www.vantecusa.com/en/product/view_detail/93

So, that mean passive heatsinks wont cool enough? cuz those little fans really REALLY suck, they die nearly instantly LOL...

nice, how soon would cgminer be able to mine using one of these?
Also, is the individual parts ready for purchase as well?
IE: might be interested in starting w/ just the backplane & 1 fpga and growing it over time.
2298  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 800Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: May 10, 2012, 08:01:00 PM
So, are these things ready for purchase right now? or there a long waiting list even if you order?
2299  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [551GH] ABCPool PPS - Proxy Pool For High & Steady Mining Rewards on: May 10, 2012, 04:41:21 AM
yeah I guess abcpool is fuxxored atm...
2300  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [551GH] ABCPool PPS - Proxy Pool For High & Steady Mining Rewards on: May 10, 2012, 04:39:37 AM
anyone not able to connect to the pool atm? cgminer wont connect =( it crash?

I am completely dead on every pool.  something strang is going on.

yeah, I use abcpool as offline miner for gpumax, both gpumax and abcpool are unreachable via miner. I am on emc pps atm... works fine as my backup of my backup.. ROFL
