Heyas Inaba, just wonderin how PPS testing is comin along? Ive been mining on it for a while, seems no issues on my side. Any updates comin for it?
2305  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 30, 2012, 04:34:06 AM
Quite befuddling - none of my miners are currently connecting to GPUMAX, yet my leased counter is still incrementing periodically; income is rising along with it. Free shares, or system buggery?

Im experiencing the same thing...it's really weird. Lol
2306  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 25, 2012, 04:00:25 PM
Man, this stinks, its been almost a week since not being able to mine @ gpumax =/
meh...open up da ip's!!!
2307  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 24, 2012, 12:57:10 AM
I can't connect either... what gives?

Guess our ip's havent been opened up yet for mining =./

Been a while grrr...

It aint lettin me mine again, still cant connect w/ miner ...

OCZ PSU's sucked if they were anything but seasonic made =P Cuz all their other OEM's suck.

I'm a sad panda too, but I'm sure pirate is working on stuff and we'll be doing public work soon.

yes yes, cuz GPUmax freakin rocks! what a cool system =) Hope it gets up and runnin stable w/ lotsa public demand...hehe...
2311  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 20, 2012, 07:32:31 PM
Should we be gettin public work now because I havent gotten any cept maybe 30 shares the last 2 days? Hows that update comin along pirate?
2312  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 890FXA-GD65 - does it need molex injected extenders for x1 slots? on: April 19, 2012, 11:48:00 PM
I recently blew up my S939 board , I think because I didnt use molex injecting x1 -> x16 extender.

I am gettin ready to purchase GD65, I notice it has a PCIe 6pin directly on the motherboard for supplying power to PCIe

Would I still need to use molex injecting extenders? I dont know if the board supplies that 6pin power to just the x16 slots or all the PCIe slots on mobo. Anyone know?
2313  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PCIe x1 -> x16 extender workaround for some mobo's on: April 19, 2012, 11:37:17 PM
Well, I blew up the mobo I was mining on. Guess its x1 slot couldnt handle the power w/o molex injection. It was an old S939 board had laying around. So, gonna buy new mobo / cpu & RAM today probably.
Heres a question. The mobo Im thinkin bout buying is MSI 890FXA-GD65, has 4 PCIe x1 and 2 PCIe x16

It also has a 6pin PCIe power connector on board for the PCIe slots. Do you guys think this would sufficiently power all the PCIe slots, so I wouldnt have to use molex injected extenders?

Well, I hate SSD's period. Seen so many of them fail in different ways .. not reliable at all vs HDD's.
2315  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 19, 2012, 07:08:41 PM
still no public work? those updates takin a while to roll out!
oh wellz, my fucking mining rig blew up last night. Luckily the cards and PSU are good. Just need new mobo/ram/cpu now UGH....
I feel your pain.  My mining rig, which also doubles as my daily driver, and triples as my home business computer lost an SSD and a PSU within 1 week of operation.  I was down 2 weeks for the SSD, when the PSU let go I said "hell no" and picked up an 80+ gold ASAP.

Ouch that sucks!
Good news is my PSU and cards are up hashing again on a test system at work. Now I just gotta get mobo / cpu n ram.
We have a 890FX GD65 MSI board here, and sempron 145 and some RAM
mobo has 2x PCIe x16 and 4 PCIe x1's
Total would be around 150ish for all of those combined, is that a good deal?

Is there maintenance going on 'under the hood' @ GPUMAX currently ?

This is the first time in quite a while that I am not receiving any Public/Leased work at this time of the day....nor have I all morning from what I can tell.

After the 'hickups' that a few of us experienced earlier this morning (website and mining server completely offline for a brief period), I hope everything is OK.

If anyone is really concerned about what is going on with GPUMAX, you can always hop on http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=gpumax and talk with others in the GPUMAX IRC channel.
sweet, didnt know that!
2318  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: April 18, 2012, 07:32:50 PM
Just wanna verify w/ you guys, you gettin public work or not atm? I aint. Wonder if pirate is sleeping or public work disabled or what..
2319  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUIDE - Underclocking Memory to 150MHz on a 6990 running Linux on: April 18, 2012, 07:31:22 PM
Yeah, thats what I do on my headless miner for windows, because it seems cgminer cant change clocks when nothing is connected to the card. So, Ive started making custom BIOS's for all my cards.
Using GPU-z in windows you can get a good copy of the BIOS for each gpu as well.
But NEVER use RBE to grab the ROM from GPU, it corrupts the ROM file because it truncates it to 64k or something.
2320  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / PCIe x1 -> x16 extender workaround for some mobo's on: April 17, 2012, 04:05:38 PM
I dont know if this is a known trick or not. But, last night I hooked up my first GPU using extender cable and for the life of me couldnt get it to work in any combination of GPU's, slots .. on my motherboard.

Turns out after further research I discovered some boards require the presence sense pins to be properly shorted by whatever device is plugged into it.
So, I discovered a trick using a wire to short the needed pins in the x1 connector on mobo, it overrides the sense function and will run w/e device is plugged into the slot regardless.
Heres the graphic:
