Can you specify what PSU comes w/ it ... is it 110/220v capable? Brand / model
Also, willing to accept escrow?

I think he is asking what you want the customs declaration to be on the package, to reduce customs/tax requirements.  Does not effect US customers, as we pay 0% on computer accessories, but some countries charge hefty import/VAT taxes, based on declared dollar amounts.

So, theres no customs charge for USA period?!! ... nice!

https://i.imgur.com/VSOk5vX.jpg   wtf??? that red wire on the PCB? signs of noncomplete release /design?

hope these things last a while rofl!

Where is that from?

http://imgur.com/248iJrH

Zoom in you will see a tiny bit of the same area on my board.

I don't see any jumper wires on mine.  Plus I'd hope that was a testing unit because look at the burn marks around that area where someone was soldering and the other red wire looks like it has been toasted.

Its from this guys unboxing post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379819.msg4375509#msg4375509

Would love to buy one or more of these, but question regarding the PSU...
Is it a single 900w PSU that comes w/ the unit? if so, whats its 80+ rating?...is it a quality PSU?

I would assume, to make it USA 110v usable, all I gotta do is plug it up w/ a standard PC power cord right? (Im assuming the plug on the PSU for power is the same as any other, its the side of the cable that goes into the wall is the only thing thats different....)

I am also wondering if a standard USA 110v PC power cord will be all that is needed to power the supplied PSU?

naw it wont be...the supplied unit doesnt work down to 120v it seems =( ... and its POS from what others are saying.

The Miner runs faster than Expects.

Wow, wtf?!?!? according to that PSU, its not capable of 120v at all... is this correct? .. I thought it was a normal full range unit (110-240v)
...
Quote from: Newegg.cn / Google Translate
●The server version of Intel EPS 12V 2.92 standards, backward compatible with smart modular design, intelligent identification into the electrical equipment, without judgment, plug rated power 600W, powerful dual +12 V output design, output power up to 540W
● Active PFC wide (170V-264V) designed for grid energy efficiency up to 99%
● In a typical load, the conversion efficiency up to 85% energy saving, environmental protection, more power ● leading two-transistor forward, effectively reducing switch losses and improve the power efficiency ● 2 ounces of whole server plate design, effectively reduce PCB board losses and improve efficiency ● 12CM ultra-quiet fan with temperature control circuit design, low noise, long life ● equipped with long cables to support the power under the home and backplane traces, to meet the needs of gamers

This PSU looks like a POS group regulated design with similar efficiency to old FSP/Sparkle 2006 designs (OCZ GameXStream, FSP Epsilon, etc.)
Plus it's only rated 540w, and these sell for what looks like $35-50 in bulk.

Ah, so probably best to order w/o PSU =) ... good to know

Somewhat understand the paypal price hike... but why would the BTC price increase?

Im guessing cuz of the minor exchange rate drop, but even then should only be like 2.3btc....

What well known companies are planning on accepting them? I think it'll only take one big company to start using them and the value will skyrocket again.

Just keep browsing the press section, theres at least 1 biggish outfit announced per week that accepts them...
Keep in mind, some arent in the states..

Also, the numbers of places on coinmap.org grows , almost at 2000 worldwide, granted these arent big companies ... but still, it shows adoption =)

Regardless of whatever panic / selloff / bubble popping is going on right now on the bitcoin markets. We are still seeing news of well known companies planning on or as of right now, accepting bitcoin.
This shows faith in Bitcoin, regardless of what the market is doing.
The infrastructure remains strong and is being built every day...
To me, its quite mind blowing and paints an inevitably bright future for Bitcoin.

1338  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-12-17]Bitcoin Featured in ‘Almost Human’ (a Fox TV Show) on: December 17, 2013, 07:14:31 PM
I actually watched this episode, never heard of the show before... but after seeing someone mention the fact bitcoin was in it, looked up the show and saw that "bones" from the new star trek was one of the main actors and was like..huh...hes pretty cool, guess Ill give the show a shot. =P

Whats interesting is during the course of the episode is another cop mentioned a "5grand" fee being paid by one of the victims for their heart, before the reference to bitcoin came up.
Now, I havent watched any other episodes and I dont know if theyve hinted on a currency standard of this point in the future, but if not...its quite feasible that the "5grand" reference could have been to bitcoin as well, being that the body they found had 4999btc on them.

Also, as far as the droid being able to hack into the device... I dont know if thats what he did exactly .. when they showed the device, there was a string of numbers / characters on it...maybe that was the public bitcoin address... all the droid would had to have done is reference the blockchain and see the balance on that key =P

I know, it doesnt matter either way...just a tv show, but its fun to play w/ how they referenced bitcoin. I think its probably the coolest tv show reference yet. =)

Awesome, thanks for the pic, which heatsinks would well for those areas? links to any would be awesome =)
When I was prototyping I just used these ones since I could get them next day.
http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?x=0&y=0&lang=en&site=us&KeyWords=294-1100-ND
Two of them are enough to cover all 4 phases.

You can get heatsinks cheaper than that if you don't mind waiting though. I bought these guys as well, and just cut them in half and put both halves on the board.

Thanks man =)
