2383  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: Hora de comprar? on: July 15, 2017, 02:35:02 PM

2384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go under 2000 dollars until august 1? on: July 15, 2017, 08:31:34 AM
There will be no fork.

UASF is user-activated, you need a modified version of QT, which is the wallet most people use to store BTC in their computers. A very small minority uses this modified version. So it will crash if activates. This is the one that will be activated in August 1, but few people are saying it depends on you, the user, to happen. Since most users dont know about this, it will not happen.

BIP148 is the original SegWit, I guess. But SegWit2x have more support, it's near 95%. If it reaches that, BIP148 needs to be abandoned per rules of consensus. Date for SegWit2x activation would be 21st July. If it wont reach 95%, nothing will happen, and BIP148 will keep pushing until someone reaches 95% consensus.

No fork, just a bunch of whales selling everything and generating FUD with fake news.

Maybe this is the last time they can do that. Maybe big money from companies will pour after SegWit activation, who knows? That's the reason why this time is falling so much as to become a bear market.

2385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Going Down Badly? on: July 15, 2017, 08:04:45 AM
I have a 100% feeling that it is the main reason why the price is going down, fear from the hodlers, selling at it's finest.

Is safe to buy by 31th July?
No.

And by 28th July? Probably the price will be $500 then.
You sure about that? It will recover soon and you'll see that not all the time there will be a price increase nor decrease.
There's just a balancing of things in the market and this falling will be ending soon but no one can if that's possible to happen on or before July 28 or even August 1.

I'm sure it will reach $1000, but not $500. It's near $2000 after falling $300 in 24 hours.

And I think a small group of people (who holds too many bitcoins) is doing that, to create panic. I dont think there will be a hard fork, I think this is fake news.

Btw, I didn't sell any of my coins. Nor I will, since I want them to be used in place of fiat in the future.

2388  Economy / Speculation / Re: My bitcoin speculation for August... Only rise is possible... on: July 14, 2017, 02:43:17 PM
I think the botton is 1800. Probably in two weeks.

There's no way to reach 1000, it would be too much money going out.
2389  Economy / Speculation / Re: happy or scared about the price? on: July 14, 2017, 02:49:46 AM
None of them, I'm more worried about the fork. There's 87.6% miner support for SegWit2x, but the devs are still against it, so I'm very apprehensive about security.

The price will increase anyway, but should I be able to move my coins in case I need to charge a pre-paid card? My AdvCash card arrived today.
2390  Economy / Speculation / Re: just few well know investors and then boom! on: July 14, 2017, 02:05:17 AM
If the price increases too fast, the cattle will sell it fast, and this will break the exchanges which will not have the money to pay for it (except for the one who sold those bitcoins to the billionarie).

The ideal is to increase a hundred dollars per month, with daily fluctuations around two hundred dollars, so that they can hold a little longer.

I think it is lacking a bit of education on how to use bitcoins, on how to make it acceptable. Most merchants wont accept it and that is one of the reasons the noobs will not hold it.
2391  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Should I change program to access wallet? on: July 14, 2017, 01:49:03 AM
I have been looking to this link here: https://coin.dance/blocks and it shows that SegWit2x is approaching the 95% requirement to be implemented.

However, devs of bitcoin-qt are against SegWit2x, and I use the bitcoin-qt program to access my wallet in my computer.

Should I change the program in case the support reaches 95% as indicated in the site above? I have got the private keys using console commands in bitcoin-qt, so this would not be a problem. But if I send throughout bitcoin-qt will my bitcoins be safe after miners reach 95% consensus and the devs keep going against it? And what program I could use in place of bitcoin-qt, in case this might happen?

2393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Level by August 1 on: July 12, 2017, 02:51:57 PM
1800 by August 1st, 3000 by September 1st, 5500 by the end of the year.
2394  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Preço não para de cair. Nada mais pode ser feito. on: July 11, 2017, 07:21:21 PM

Vai cair pra 1800 antes do final do mês.

A correction for one month? This is a bear market.

Bitcoin Sobe ou Desce? on: July 11, 2017, 02:55:23 AM
Vai descer pra zero.

Venda tudo logo por 1 real cada.

Venda pra mim.

2399  Economy / Speculation / Re: [prediction] Next spike $560,000 14 {<-oops!} months from now (2017 Update!) on: July 10, 2017, 04:43:23 PM
I had put 10% of my assets in bitcoin and altcoins.

I remember reading an article were some guy (a director of paypal, if I'm not mistaken) said to put 1% in bitcoins, just to be safe. He was predicting a rise to 1 million in ten years. I doubted it at the time, but seeing the news now about possible adoption by governments and financial institutions I would not doubt it anymore.

But I put 10%. I don't want to risk more than that. Most of it are on altcoins, tough, due to my recent experiments with bittrex (which is a new thing for me).

Its a good plan to only have small exposure (what you can afford to lose rule). The problem I have found is that you end up having to sell to rebalance, then looking back and wishing you hadn't Smiley

It's really hard to get rich holding bitcoin if you do the right thing Smiley Funny thing is its really easy to do OK with bitcoin even if you do the wrong thing repeatedly lol.

The wrong thing I did was not to buy more back in 2015. By that time I have bought my first bitcoin, to pay for a storage cloud which accepted it. Didn't bought before 2015 because there was no thing I wanted to buy with it.

Since the beggining I wanted it to be a way of paying things and buy stuff without depending on fiat and banks. Finally is happening now with massive adoption in Japan and research in blockchain going on.

But now I'm sad that I had not bought more before, I would be able to have 10x more now. And the satoshis I spend buying the storage would be more valuable now too.

2400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Cycles - why 560k might be wrong! on: July 10, 2017, 04:17:53 PM
Each bull-run for a figure. First for three figures, second for four figures, so the third will be five figures. It will reach 10000 by next year, then when it will be near 30k there will be another bear market like it is having now. But by that time, the financial institutions will provoke it to eliminate the common players, and there will be drops with four figures, from 30 to 25 and up again to 32, so it will be very hard to buy bitcoins. If you buy for example 10k satoshis, you risk having it drop to 1 satoshi, in fiat value.

So now it's the better time to buy and accumulate. The trade in the future will be only for altcoins, who will follow bitcoin rising to the moon, since people will not stop trading for them to increase their satoshis. But the trade for fiat will be dominated by financial institutions, who will put millions into it. It will be very hard for the average person to hold it. It will be like a wall separating both camps.

The idea is never to sell bitcoins, but to use them to buy things, to charge pre-paid cards and pay services. I always paid my storage cloud with bitcoins, after recent rise I paid until 2019 since they were satoshis bought in 2015. But it is still early and most sites won't accept it. And when they will accept the price will be so high that the average guy, who is not buying now, will have to spend it immediately to not lose it. The banks will probably create a protocol using smart contracts to convert fiat to bitcoin instantly, and will get even richer with all the speculation going on around it.
