Traders never cease to amaze me! When it was clear that BCH will appear, BTC will continue to exist as 'bitcoin' and everybody will get free money, the faint hearted shaky hands sold their bitcoins below 2500 just before the fork losing big time. Now, the conflict between 2x and core is endangering the existence of bitcoin, these same traders buy above 4K!!! Little they know that if S2X forks without replay protection, the fork will be a giant mess, both chains will be unusable for days, possibly weeks and the price will crash (maybe even below 1000$). a lot of people will hedge into LTC, ETH and BCH! It will look like bitcoin is dying while BCH is going up like crazy. Of course everyone who supports BCH wants exactly that! (At least the ones who can think that far and are interested in a high BCH price). The recent rise of the BTC price is just a bubble, created by chinese mining whales who want to sell high all and then dump BTC for good. They are free now from the limitation of the core team and can adjust the difficulty to make much bigger profits. Reading between the lines in Roger Ver's and Jihan Wu's tweets, they will trade most of their BTC for BCH and will continue to drive up BCH's price.
No replay protection means there will be no alt coin. When you transfer from one chain, it will also transfer in the other, but if they have different address structures, the ammount you transfered in the other chain will go to another address, which can ou cannot be linked to the address you sent in the original chain. However, if you never use the other chain, there will be nothing to worry, as most nodes are using Core software. Only those who install the forked software can get rekt, as the address they sent can be one of Core, whereas in the forked chain it can be from another person. Just dont install any software which is not Core signed. Now how will we explain that to noobs who use bitcoin from cellphones? |

If SegWit have a block size of 4mb by default, and 2x plans to increase it to 8mb, then why the specialized media keeps saying its 2mb?
The idea is that if Segwit2x chooses to go through with an attempt to hard fork the block size to 2MB, and the blockchain splits in two, replay attacks could lead some users and companies to lose money. Selfie é pra verificar conta, não pra fazer depósito. Isto tem na maioria das exchanges.
Na MercadoBitcoin eles pedem que você mande uma selfie segurando um papel com os dizeres: "Quero comprar Bitcoin" juntamente com o comprovante para o depósito ser liberado. Não sei se ainda exigem isso para todos os depósitos, mas para os de grande valor creio que seja obrigatório. Acho que é disso que o OP está reclamando. O que também não justifica todo esse ódio grátis que ele está espalhando. Mas isso aí é ridículo mesmo, parece que está no jardim da infância. |

Only Japan had accepted bitcoin as a "official" coin. Australia is still in process of doing so, and we can always use mBTC as units for purchases in vendors, wherein the average Joe will say he have 100 bitcoins when in fact he have 100 mBTCs.
Its possible to have a 100k value. It would have the marketcap of gold.

~ we risk fiasco of unsuccessful segwit transactions and/or lost coins because of segwit security vulnerabilities. Even Slush pool CEO (inventor of bitcoin mining pools) said that he first needs to see segwit transactions, until then no one knows.
only idiots and FUDsters think like this. there has been lots of tests on the testnet so far, testing the SegWit transactions. there has been multiple altcoins similar to bitcoin that have already implemented SegWit and have had it for months now. one of these altcoins is litecoin and there has been many SegWit transactions on it, and it is worth a lot. if there were any "fiasco" it would have already happened, specially by the enemies of bitcoin. True, and litecoin is the fastest coin I've ever used. |

Quem aqui está dumpando Bitcoin Cash? Se você estiver fazendo isso, fica um aviso importante: Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Jeff Garzik e companhia estão dumpando seus BTCs e usando eles para pumpar BCHs.
Se você estiver dumpando BCH por BTC, o preço de ambos ficará estagnado por um tempo.
Se você estiver dumpando BCH por REAIS, o preço do BTC vai DESPENCAR.
E já está acontecendo que muitos noobs estão dumpando BCH por dólares. Algumas exchanges já estão comercializando BCH, inclusive aqui no Brasil.
Fica o AVISO: se você continuar dumpando BCH por fiat, isto vai provocar um bear market a partir da resistência na área dos 3900 dólares. Dumpe por BTCs se for o caso.
Isso não impede que os mencionados acima também dumpem seus BTCs por fiat, e depois usem este dinheiro para pumpar o BCH. Então a melhor estratégia é holdar ambas as moedas. BCH é um plano das elites de banqueiros internacionais para controlar o bitcoin, equivalente ao que o ETH é para o ether original (que hoje é o ETC), e por este motivo pode receber altas somas de dinheiro no futuro. O ETH mesmo subiu mais de 4000% em seis meses.

There is extreme dishonesty in the segwit2x camp, which you can see from trying to exploit the fact that people do not really know Segwit is 4mb, and they try to sell the angle that bitcoin is simply going to be upgraded from 1 to 2mb. The dishonesty is compounded by things like what Bitpay does... "yeah just download this upgrade titled bitcoin" (which runs something else).
And I'm thinking here that was 2mb... if SegWit is already 4mb, then why all this drama? This seems like a kind of currency war. Maybe are not the PBOC managers who are behind all this trolling? |

One point that people are not considering is the zeros in bitcoin.
You cant expect the average Joe to use a coin that is show with lots of zeros to the left. He will screw it, because its confusing.
At the first the stores will have to change the unit to mBTC while marketing its products, and also in the way it is show in screens while doing payments. If the price of BTC increases to six figures, then switch it to satoshis, or sBTC. This will made it easy to use.
