1701  Economy / Speculation / Re: Worst case scenario: Bitfinex/Tether hypothesis on: December 25, 2017, 03:50:00 AM

Nice article there. This tether issue is just FUD.
1702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 24, 2017, 08:20:56 PM
2MB blocks, 8MB, 64MB, whatever you want MB is not the solution.

2mb would give Core time to implement LN and other sidechains.
1703  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELLING NOW = THE PEOPLE WHO SOLD WHEN IT DIPPED FROM $1000 TO $200 on: December 24, 2017, 07:16:49 PM
It has always bounced back from dips like this in the past..... but who knows how low it will go this time.

According to Masterluc, its 10k.

It will be swinging between 10-16k for some time.
1704  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 24, 2017, 02:35:00 PM
I'm all for a block size increase to 2mb. I just think that 8mb, as proposed by BCash, is too much, and will create more problems in the future, such as centralized nodes.

Lightning network is just one of many sidechains, and one which will atract institutional investors. I hope that in the future we will have lots of different sidechains, each for a function: one to buy a coffee, one for settlement between banks, one to buy cars, one to buy real estate, and each will have its own limits, and its own fees.
1705  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your sleep schedule? How is your sleep? on: December 24, 2017, 03:42:13 AM
4-6 hours per night.
1706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 23, 2017, 10:50:55 PM
Bitcoin is more safe to hold than gold. Gold you can lost or be robbed.
1707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the worst of the dip is over for the moment? on: December 23, 2017, 03:35:34 PM
Trace the volume since mid-September and you will notice this is a bulltrap.

We are not fully corrected yet. And theres still this: https://blockchain.info/en/unconfirmed-transactions when this money arrives on the exchanges, expect another dip, before the new year.
1708  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Will Go to 7500$ on: December 23, 2017, 03:03:31 PM
I think it's going even lower, I see below $5000 before 2018 and even lower after january:

Seems you shorted all of your stash.
1709  Economy / Speculation / Re: 45% drop - this is new territory, never seen before on: December 23, 2017, 02:16:07 PM
I try to avoid using the "ignore" button as many trolls and much FUD can be amusing.

I've only used it for really obnoxious, insulting trolls like Notlambchop and Matthecat.

I've come close with r0ach but he's such a laughable buffoon I've let him go despite his bigotry and the sheer number of his posts.  Cheesy

I never use it.

I like to read r0ach and kwukduck posts. They are very amusing.
1710  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe BTC can dip to $8,000 or $10,000 on: December 23, 2017, 01:24:41 PM
Yes. It can happen until mid-January. People are cashing out for holidays.

1711  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2017, 08:21:06 PM
You call a 50% dip a correction? No I think it's a crash.

Its a crash, but I dont think it will provoke a multi-year bear market. Theres still bitcoin mania in the news, and massive demand. Due to the holiday, people will not be buying it too much, but by mid-January it will be back to normal.
1712  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the most expensive vaporware in the history of software industry on: December 22, 2017, 06:22:55 PM
Bitcoin will die but some other coin will survive.

What other coin? Let me guess... WAVES? IOTA?
1713  Economy / Speculation / Re: 45% drop - this is new territory, never seen before on: December 22, 2017, 05:14:17 PM
Some people were saying futures markets would "legitimize" bitcoin.

Thats your "legitimizing" right there. They want it to be like gold and silver, completely useless.

Also, creating artificial "bubbles" through pumping from funds is a quick way to implement "regulations" (read censorship) in crypto-currencies.
1714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2017, 04:27:34 PM
If you think liquidity is an issue now. Just wait until the big boys start to realize they need to balance their holdings with actual BTC so that they can play in the market. All other alts will benefit.

The big boys just want to short it to the ground, to keep their status quo.

They will pump it, of course, but the dumps will be even worse. Get used to it, this will be normal now.

Do you think they want a rich Earth, where the work is done by robots and everybody lives in comfort? Thats a programmer pipe dream.

1715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2017, 04:07:05 PM
Did we hit the BTCottom yet?  Grin or is the worst yet to come  Wink

I think its not over yet.

1716  Economy / Speculation / Re: *POP* Goes the bubble! on: December 22, 2017, 03:52:32 PM
Both the miners and the devs are guilty of such fall, Jim.

The miners for sabotaging the network, switching all their hash power to BCash.

And the devs for delaying the lightning network, and not implementing SegWit as a default measure.

More frightening than Roger Ver shilling was a Core dev opening a champagne to celebrate the highest fees ever, fees higher than a international wire transfer.

And in the shadows, hedge funds, which have been pumping the price since October, short their positions to win bets in CME. Who knows who is buying now and what they will do in the next futures round.

But bubble, this never was, Jim. It is just a slow corporate takeover, on both sides.
1717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats going on? on: December 22, 2017, 11:06:55 AM
Wall Street.

This is the so-called "legitimacy". Get used to it.

1718  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is so RED. For how long? on: December 22, 2017, 11:03:35 AM
Ripple rising so fast. That's so obvious, isnt it?

Right after CME starts, and with miner support. The miners and bcashers were used, of course, as BCash is also falling.

Unconfirmed transactions keep piling up: https://blockchain.info/en/unconfirmed-transactions and I dont think its all spam this time. Its people trying to get out.

I think it can go until 8k, but I might be wrong. Maybe this sparks a bear market, who knows.

1719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin falls by more than $3000, dropping through $13000 mark on: December 22, 2017, 10:46:05 AM
Welcome to Wall Street.

They have been buying since 8k. That's our support.

That's why the price have been skyrocketing so fast.
