I think it will need 3 years of testing until block size can be increased to 2mb.
I'm not against it, I just think it should not be made in a hurry.
This requires lots of testing, they have to try sidechains, new codes and implementations. This takes time, you cant do that in just 3 months. You will need 3 years.

Apesar de já ser consagrado, acho que o ouro não seria desbancado pelo bitcoin, o bitcoin poderia até passar, mas o ouro já é algo consagrado. O valor atual do ouro está muito abaixo do que ele realmente valeria se seguisse a inflação com relação à 200 anos atrás. Este valor foi dumpado pelos derivativos de ouro. Então se você compra ouro, na hora de vender vai receber menos do que pagou. O marketcap do ouro é de 4 trilhões de dólares. Dizem que o bitcoin está valendo mais que uma onça de ouro, mas o limite do bitcoin é de 21 milhões de moedas. O ideal é que o bitcoin tenha um marketcap de 12 trilhões, 3x o valor do total de ouro, pois o valor do ouro atual está abaixo do seu valor real. |

Neste caso a versão BCC é mais fiel ao design origial do que o próprio BTC, ao contrário do ETC que é a versão original do Ethereum BCC/BCH é um modelo centralizador, então acho que está longe disso. Se você aumentar o bloco de 1mb pra 8mb, com o tempo vai precisar de 8x mais espaço em hd pra armazenar a blockchain, o que vai reduzir a quantidade de nós, concentrando o processamento em data servers imensos. Isso centralizaria a rede. |

It is possible that in the future BTC will be the coin used for everyday transactions (with lighting network, satellites, etc), whereas BCH will be a reserve coin, used for stock markets and big money deals (banks, corporations, cartels, etc). BCH is centralized, Jihan controls it, and it looks similar to ETH which is controlled by Vitalik and is also backed by big corporations, oil trustees, etc, so it looks like it can gain support from such sectors.

If you're comparing ETH/ETC to BTC/BCH, then you should be saying that BTC is ETC and BCH is ETH. Ethereum "Classic" is the original blockchain. ETH is what forked off from it.
BTC is the original blockchain. BCH is what forked off from it.

McAfee meant Bitcoin Cash, not current Bitcoin. He later deleted the tweet. He only referred to Bitcoin Cash as to Bitcoin.
The problem is, bitcoin will probably only be a digital gold, that's why the bubble will pop, it won't be used by people, but OMG (OmiseGo) will take over the payment systems.

I only sold BCH that I have bought earlier, and got some profit.
The ones I received from the fork, are still intact.
I think BTC price will be tanked around 4000-4200 range for the next week, and it will only move upwards again after Ver and co. dump all or most of their coins for the BCH pump. By then, BCH will probably be on the same price range. Then both coins will start moving up past the 4000-4200 range.

Prata não é alternativa para o bitcoin. Você ainda terá que usar papel-moeda impresso pelos bancos centrais, com toda a inflação embutida.
A idéia por trás do bitcoin não é tê-lo apenas como asset, é para, daqui uns 5 ou 10 anos, poder usá-lo diretamente como moeda mesmo. Ele foi feito para isso, para substituir as moedas nacionais e inflacionárias.

I noticed. That's the reason why BTC price has tanked around 4200-4300, despite the cup and handle projection. They are dumping it and using the money to pump BCH. Fortunatelly I have both coins. That's why I say that bitcoin is not a normal asset, but a religion. And the religion have forked, now we have fundamentalists pumping the coin from the new church. |

There can be some correction, both from whales and from BCH camp, but it will be small dip. Price will eventually go up because there are too much people buying it now, there was a increasing of thousand of people subscribing to coinbase.
Nothing can stop bitcoin now. The only question is how to make use of the dips, how to predict them so that you can maximize your profit.

Interesting this recent dump.
As I see in Bittrex, all my alts are falling hard, alongside bitcoin which is falling according to bitstamp.
Theres just one alt which is not falling, and this one is BCH, which I've got from the ABC wallet in another system. BCH is with 34.8% increase at the moment.
I'm used to two patterns: bitcoin up and alts down, and bitcoin down and alts up.
Now theres this third pattern: BCH up, and everybody else down.
Interesting. Let's see how this currency war will develop.
