100k in 2019.
It will be over optimistic speculation, bitcoin price is still under $5k and expecting 20x increase within 2-3 year time period is really insane. I think price will be anywhere between $10k to $20k by end of next few years. That's the point. Bitcoin isn't a standard asset. Its not something you buy and sell for quick profit. It is a creed.

Apareceu uma taça na bitstamp.
Preço vai pra lua! Vamos correndo comprar.
Em inglês é "cup and handle".

The November fork will be the biggest disruption and crash in crypto we've seen since MtGox. Both politically and price wise.
You said the same about August, and here we are.

If the wallet have cryptography you cant open it without the password, even if you have the private keys. I know that because I have a wallet with a lost password, and when trying to export the private keys to another wallet it asked the password the same way. Fortunatelly this wallet have very few satoshis.

Its not a double top. At first I thought it was. But that big green candle in bearstamp defined the new dip. I guess the floor can be $4100-4200 for now.

The satellite allows those people to also be able to get the Blockstream's approved version of the blockchain (well part of it, only new blocks right now)
FTFA You people need to stop pretending it's even possible to create a decentralized cryptocurrency in the first place. Nothing resembling a Nash equilibrium will EVER exist in these things, only an exposed power vacuum to be taken over by a monopoly man or cartel. To use silver as currency you need to mint them, and you need consensus so that the merchant might accept it. Also silver coins are defined by purity, less pure coins value less and so are used to buy cheaper stuff. In the past silver coins minted by foreign authorities were weighed by merchants and were valued according to their weight. However you can't carry too much silver coins inside your pockets, and they call attention from people who might steal them from you. With bitcoin you can carry a chest full of silver inside a cellphone. And you can put a password on it so nobody can steal it. You will still need consensus, which is the primary requirement for any currency. It's the same for e-readers, where you can carry a library inside it, all in digital format. Welcome to the 21st century.

Berkshire Hathway took a long time (30+ years) to exhibit the growth you mentioned. Bitcoin is already on its way and you might not have to wait so long. Berkshire Hathway = telephone = analog = vinyl disc = cassete trading = physical stores Bitcoin = internet = digital = flac = p2p = online stores Can't compare one with the other.

BTC lá fora sobe 500 USD e aqui no BR sobe 500 BRL Ta arriscado vender e ta arriscado comprar..

I have been looking this site https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/BTCUSD/ and theres a lot of bearish predictions. I think most of them are biased and comes from people who lost the last train. However, I see there is some resistance around 4300-4400, so maybe it will fall to 3700-3800 as some traders might lose their patience and sell.

Bravo sir.
Personally, I like the idea that I will live longer than the US government will exist. At that point I can cash out into whatever I want to and not have to pay taxes on it.
I don't want luxury or "nice things". I want to live for hundreds of years and travel to new worlds. That will take money.
If you are loaded you can already renounce US citizenship and take another one, ideally in a country which does not tax foreign capital gains. ...you still pay an exit tax. I'm also trying to get my head around my tax situation - guess its a good position to be in. I'm seeing an accountant next week. Not much that can be done. I've looked into as many tax loopholes as I can. I even had all of the paperwork ready to create an offshore business to funnel my bitcoins through but the controlled foreign corporation rules require any foreign corporation where you own 50% of requires you to declare capital gains that the company gets immediately even if the company does not distribute it to you. There are some companies that allow you to take out a loan on your stock options (which fixes the price) where they "hold" the stocks and you "fail to pay back the loan". Living overseas you can withdraw $38k per year and pay zero capital gains as long as you have no other income. Though a really good tax lawyer could probably figure something out. Tax "loopholes" are legal ways of not paying taxes that the tax legislators just haven't noticed yet. If your accountant tells you that there's no getting around paying capital gains taxes he's really saying there's know way -he- knows of how to get around them. There is always a way especially the more money you have. Impressive. And they call capitalism "free", its very far from that. It is kind of a mafia of banks, states and big corporations. The only way to free capitalism and let it be what it was intended to be, is to smash down this structure of taxes.

The kult of HODL is growing more than the creed of the Weak Hands.
People are sending to cold wallets and will sell only after at least two years.
The dips will be provoked by short traders, which will be on limited supply. Scarcity will drive the price high, dips will be 10-15% at most. The only issue is that they will last just some hours or days. I just lost the refuelling train at $3800, but surely it can happen again until 22nd August.
They will be holding because of SegWit, LN, satellites, this will drive the price very high and to sell will be more risky. 10k will look cheap and dips will be even deeper, due to volume, and for a very short time.
|
|
|
If those satellites do work, 10k will be CHEAP.
