I'm worried.

People selling the BCC are falling into a trap.

And it's a ingenious one. The replay protection is there, if you sell in one chain, you sell in the other.

If you dump BCC, you will be dumping BTC too.

https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/56867/bitcoin-cash-replay-protection

Quote:
"Update: They Bitcoin Cash specification now requires that all transaction use the redefined sighashing algorithm as explained for the first method. This means that there is now two way transaction replay protection; transactions made on the Bitcoin ABC chain will be invalid on the non-ABC chain and vice versa."

Yes, they will be invalid. If 1 BTC is 5 BCC, and you spend 1 BCC, then you can't spend it again in the other chain. In other words, you will have 0.8 BTC.

But I hope I'm wrong and you can sell BCC for BTC and vice-versa, like any alt coin.

2323  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rally is premature - 4 days left on: July 28, 2017, 08:29:47 PM
BTC will crash.

And it will be not provoked by rich investors. It will be the users themselves.

Replay protection. If you spend in one chain, you will also have spend on the other, so that you can't replay the same operation again. This is being badly explained, and people are being convinced they will have free coins.

But those coins are the same ones you bought earlier, they will be just in another chain, with another name and behaving like an alt coin.

The future market value was set just to have a initial price for it. So people will think they will be receiving free coins at 500+ dollars each.

They will just dump it, and the equivalent (probably in a relation of 5:1) will be dumped in the legacy chain, due to the replay protection.

Price of BCC will dump to the ground, but the equivalent BTC will also be dumped.

Then the rich investors will buy all this BCC, which is centralized by the mining cartels. Then they fork and BTC is left alone.

Big blocks will be the norm and in ten years you will need 1 petabyte to store the blockchain. Goodbye P2P.

I was thinking in moving at least half of it to LTC. Maybe I'm wrong, but if I'm right it will take too much time to recover, and LTC will be up faster.

2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The real crash starts after Aug 1st on: July 28, 2017, 01:44:07 PM
The crowd is always wrong. If the general consensus is "after the 1st, it's going to go up".... and this IS the general consensus.... it means it is NOT going to happen. You're playing against the masters. Do they mind throwing away 20 million to drop it under $2000 when 90% of the Muppets think it'll go up? Not at all. If they can grab say a million coins and save a few hundred dollars a coin..... when they inflate it later.... they make hundreds of millions. That's the game.

I've seen it thousands of times, on hundreds of stocks I've followed closely. Fundamentals don't matter. Technicals only matter part of the time.

You have strong points. There's always have been market manipulation and that is the reason why I dont keep studying graphs, highs and lows and all that stuff. Since the pumps are always sudden, you can't predict it.

I have wallets of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash and Ethereum. All stored in my computer. I'm pulling my money out of the exchanges for the 1st August, retrieving all that I can from said coins.

My only question is, how much low bitcoin might fall after SegWit is implemented? Would it fall to a hundred dollars? Or would it fall to $1700 like Goldmann Sachs "predicted"? I want to know what is the best time to buy more.
2325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC will never be over 30K on: July 28, 2017, 01:06:44 AM
10 trillion is completely possible, not in 3 years, like McAfee said, but in 10.

Marketcap for gold is 8 trillion, so yes, it is possible for bitcoin to reach 10 trillion in 10 years.

OP is a unbeliever.

Only 1,5 years ... and now, the same pattern repeat with SegWit adoption.
Choose wisely ... mathematic rules are just.

Very true. I was sympathetic to the idea of increasing block size until I saw a graphic showing it would reach 1tb for the blockchain to be stored in a computer, in case it would increase block size to 2mb.

Then I remembered Ethereum Mist which I had my computer turned on constantly for two weeks to download its blockchain, and it never completed it, making me drop it. And as you know, Ethereum is supported by big corporations, big banks, oligarchies, even Microsoft. Ethereum is very centralized and its creator dictates what happens in that network.

Then it occurred to me the external hd where I have the blockchain is a very old 640gb Samsung, with a usb 2.0 port. And it occurred to me I would never be able to run a bitcoin node again, if it were to increase block size, since 2mb would be only the beginning of a long centralization process.

Well, I had my accounts hacked in Bittrex and HitBTC by 24th July. The hacker also tried to hack into Poloniex, but this one asks for a code sent by email.

It was my fault, I used the same password in the three exchanges, and I was not using 2FA, a foolish attitude from my part. The hacker messed my Bittrex funds, he sold everything he could for bitcoins, except the altcoins below 50k satoshis in value. However, he was not able to withdraw it from Bittrex, since this would require a confirmation by email. I had nothing stored in HitBTC.

The interesting part is that I also have a account in Btc-e, and if I'm not mistaken I was using the same password there too. The attack was nearly the same time people reported Btc-e shutting down.

The exchanges sent emails with logging information, but not Btc-e. The hacker used a proxy and Chrome as browser.

2329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin currently massively undervalued? on: July 26, 2017, 11:10:30 PM
Correct value for bitcoin at this moment is 100k dollars.

It IS undervalued, extremely undervalued, due to ego-fighting between weak effeminated freaks.
2330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 26, 2017, 09:50:02 PM
Let's pray to the Bear God so that we can have a $1700 price by monday, and be able to buy lots of bitcoins before it will go to the moon.
2331  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is now dropping again on: July 26, 2017, 06:31:04 PM
$1700 when? I want to buy more.
2332  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: Opinião sobre o BCC Bitcoin Cash on: July 26, 2017, 05:01:32 PM

2333  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Poloniex scam ? on: July 26, 2017, 04:59:28 PM

2334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Cash trading well. Bitcoin's future uncertain. on: July 26, 2017, 06:13:07 AM
It's still a fake bitcoin.

The only real one is bitcoin unlimited infinity classic pwnzor plus with a 320tb block size.

Do not go longterm gold ROach (10-20 years), when the age of space mining starts gold and some other precious metals will be worthless.

If you're going to try and argue with me about metals, please have at least some primitive understanding of how the market works.

I'm talking about future space mining, what the effect will have on the price later on, not metals vs Bitcoin.

I appreciate youre explanation. btw i liked youre jew gifs Smiley

Ayway...those bigblockers are all beeing played by Roger and Jihan.

They're like rats leaving there sinking ship to another sinking ship.

They shit on Bitcoin while XT was the best thing ever..

They shit on Bitcoin while Classic was the best thing ever..

They shit on Bitcoin while BU was the best thing ever..

They shit on Bitcoin while NChain was the greatest thing ever..

Few weeks ago Bitcoin ABC was the greatest thing ever while shitting on Bitcoin..

Now those noobs shitting on Bitcoin while Bitcoin Cash is the greatest thing ever..

It's still a opportunity to buy with a DISCOUNT.

Jimbo is well known for buying the bottoms.

How to know when the bottom is reached? I have been following the trends and sunday always seems the most deep it can go, and it always tries to recover in monday.

The shit winds have started to blow. Batten down the hatches.

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6peqwr/if_the_2x_portion_of_segwit2x_fails_to_activate/

these are the credible threats that will push 2x to activate

And BIP48 to force Segwit, eveybody happy, right?

What will happen if Jeff fails coding 2x? It seems to rushed, i rather see Segwitt testing on the real economy for atleast 6-12 months.

I think it should be three years with SegWit until increasing the block size to 2mb.

Three months is rushed, and dangerous.

Isn't all this bitcoin drama the so-called "currency war" between the US and China?
