1801  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2017, 08:49:45 PM

Yea, I was surprised nobody was freaking out over a $3 billion govt dump.  It will likely be auctioned off like all other confiscations, but still, who the fuck wants to buy $3 billion of imaginary bitcoins using wealth that took generations to acquire?  Especially when you have things like bitcoin cash and all these other forks going on.  It's not longer safe to pretend there's only one chain.  You could be buying $3 billion of invalid chain lol.

A hedge fund can buy those coins from the bulgarian state and dump it selling contracts for shorts at CME, then apllying 10x leverage to win the bet and buy back the coins at a low price.

Ain't seen any mention of this. The Bulgarian authorities seized 213,000 bitcoins from some pesky criminals. I wonder how and where and over how long they gathered so many coins.

No doubt some pencil necks will insist they will dump all on Yobit.

Bulgarian FUD or futures FUD? We will have to pick one.
1803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Futures, not a correction but total collapse! on: December 09, 2017, 08:37:22 PM
"total collapse"

- "we will have a pump then"

 Huh

Someone explain this train of thought to me please.

Every time TEH DUCK says its gonna crash, it rises in price.
1804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Futures, not a correction but total collapse! on: December 09, 2017, 08:21:49 PM
Its already going up.

1805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Futures, not a correction but total collapse! on: December 09, 2017, 08:07:04 PM
Hmm, we will have a pump then. Better to buy it now and not wait any longer.
1806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 09, 2017, 08:04:16 PM
They (people like Larry Summers and Bernanke) promote cryptocurrency to the goyim and tell you that you should buy it instead of gold and silver, duh.  When the govt and jews (same difference in the US) both tell you to stay out of metals and buy cryptocurrency instead, that's about as big of a red flag as you can get.

Over 170k unconfirmed transactions right now - Panic sellers?

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Yes. And CBOE didnt even open yet.

Now I'm thinking here, if the funds are dumping it right now to create panic and open the market for more institutions. So that when CME comes, it will be already dominated by them.

You forgot one zero.
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your analysis of LTC and what's your thoughts of the application of it? on: December 09, 2017, 12:21:51 PM
From all the altcoins, LTC is the one with the brightest future. It is implementing all Core technologies ahead of bitcoin, and it is more apt for daily payments than bitcoin itself.

Its correct value is 1/12 of bitcoin, which is the historical value of silver in relation to gold.
1810  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Hedge Fund Manager Just Said Bitcoin $400,000 Is Easy on: December 08, 2017, 11:47:12 PM
It is possible if he uses leverage and deploy money from those bets in the futures casinos to pump the price in the exchanges. It can be done in less than one year.

1811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling top at $16500 on: December 08, 2017, 10:56:44 PM
Is it, "this time it's different?" Probably not. What I don't see happening is a long, protracted bear market. It will be good for things to cool down for a bit.

Theres no way to have a "multi-year bear market" anymore, because at that time, there were very few use cases for bitcoin, and Mt.Gox dominated the exchanges. Now bitcoin is going mainstream, so if there is a bear period, it will last no more than one or two weeks, and it will lead to even more intense bull runs. People will just buy it due to increased demand.

holy Litecoin batman

Near 45% valuation in Bittrex.

I hope it reaches 1/12 of a bitcoin. At least that was the historical value of silver in relation to gold, and if it is to be "digital silver", so it must rise to that value.
1814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling top at $16500 on: December 08, 2017, 06:28:53 PM
You hit it, sgbett.

The bears are out of the cave.

Everybody, get your rifles.

I could still be proven wrong, but if not I was out by 1% the top on bitstamp was $16666.66

It will hit support levels now, in a flash crash. Something around 7-9k. But it will be a short window.

Then it will rise again, as always.

1816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 08, 2017, 01:39:48 PM
Im just a small dolphin, OP.

I only sold btc to pay my file cloud service. Regretted it, should have used fiat instead.

I also sold some to buy altcoins, but most of those were eventually sold to buy bitcoin back. So no harm here.

Never shorted it in a fiat exchange, though. Been thinking about it, but its too risky.
1817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2017, 03:02:10 AM
You can buy a car with bitcoins.

You cant buy a car with stock shares.

That's why people are not selling.

1818  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN milestone 10000$. Continue to rise or not??? on: December 08, 2017, 01:38:27 AM

More to come.  Still ripening in the sun.

House of Cards, starring Roger Ver.

More like House of Forks.

Listening Carter Thomas analysis, reading R0ach butthurt and playing Stellaris. All at the same time.

Then, all of a sudden, this appears on the screen.
