1661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 11, 2018, 06:41:41 PM
Right now BTC is holding the line pretty well, but I am getting the sense of fear and desperation in both the BTC and LTC subs. It's starting to feel a bit... impatient over there. It's a very different sentiment to that one in December. Either we've entered a new phase in crypto where one is going to need to be patient as the market caps are now much larger, or these impatient ones will be shaken out at losses at much lower prices.

I think we are in a bear market already. There's a feel of hybernation, of freezing winds.

Are we in a bear market, gentlemen? Seems that the market is freezing.
1664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uncertainty in bitcoin market. on: January 10, 2018, 02:20:09 AM
Uncertainty provoked by institutional funds dumping coins they pumped after october, to win bets in CBOE and CME futures markets.

And the price is closing as CBOE predicted one month ago. They are good at "predictions", aren't they?

Good day gentlemen. I would like to bring your attention to this novel and innovative chart that has surely never been seen before on this forum:
Do you think that, perhaps, it might have some relevance to our current situation?

Can you explain to me what this new and innovative chart be all about? I'm just a newbie and this chart seems very impressive trade theory.
1666  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 Cryptocurrency Crash (Elliott Wave) on: January 10, 2018, 12:09:19 AM
How can this memeliott wave be applied to bitcoin, with all the technology behind it?

Bitcoin is not just a stock, its not Pajama Papers. Its a technological innovation which, if sucessful, can dethrone Visa-Mastercard oligopoly on payments.
1667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here's how it's going to go down. on: January 09, 2018, 11:40:39 PM
And if we sell and goes up? What then? You lose part of your coins.

Another day, another FUD operation.

I just want a Core wallet that wont stutter when I open it.
1670  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network VS SegWit2Mb(S2X) on: January 08, 2018, 09:14:30 PM
It seems for me that lightning network makes bitcoin more centralized. I do not like this. How do you think?

I agree, there will be a little centralization, but LN is optional, whereas big block sizes, are not. Bigger blocks would lead to giant nodes which would only be able to run on servers, and this would be mandatory. But LN is not mandatory, you can choose to use it or not.

And since most people will move small quantities, they will opt for it, which will unclog the mined network, thus decreasing fees.

1671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the difference between Segwit? Native Segwit? Legacy? Which one better? on: January 08, 2018, 09:03:45 PM
If I create a new wallet, and send a segwit transaction there (for example, to claim forked coins), which wallet need to have a segwit address (starting with 3), the one which is sending the bitcoin, or the one which is receiving it?

I tried to send to another wallet with a segwit address, but the fee was even higher than to a normal address. The recipient was a segwit address, the sender was legacy. The normal address on the recipient was asking standard fees.

My current wallet holding bitcoins is from august 2017, before segwit locked in. Should I make another legacy wallet, send a legacy transaction there, and only then create a third wallet which would be segwit?

Or can my current wallet, which was created before the lock-in, generate a segwit address (starting with 3), and then send to a legacy address in a second wallet, which would not have any segwit address?

1673  Economy / Speculation / Re: We broke $17k price on Bitcoin will $20k be next? on: January 08, 2018, 11:27:54 AM
It will be going sideways until LN is released.

Devs have been testing it and showing zero fees to buy coffee with bitcoin. If it is released, and turn out to be a success, price will go fast to 50k.

Right now, fees are more than 350k satoshis per kilobyte, for a one-hour confirmation. It's insane, and people would not move their bitcoins to a exchange to sell, nor will buy more, knowing most exchanges will use those same fees. Less sellers decreases the supply, but less buyers decreases the demand, that's why it is going sidelines.

1674  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Crypto Noob Moron thread on: January 07, 2018, 07:30:37 PM
The guys who were two months ago saying that bitcoin is a "bubble" or a "ponzi scheme" are the same ones who are now aiming for 1000% gains with ripple, lumen, tron and raiblocks.

Veja por outro lado, o capitalismo implicado na reportagem poderia ser o capitalismo clientelista (crony capitalism), o qual os libertários costumam ser contra.

1677  Economy / Speculation / Re: A stable Bitcoin on: January 06, 2018, 02:43:00 PM
Yes, and I'm going to use more bitcoin to speculate in altcoin markets.

For now, it's only 5% of my stash being used for this purpose.

GO ALL IN. Liquidate all other assets. Also, max out every form of credit you can possibly acquire. This includes taking out multiple payday loans and finding a loan shark.

That's a good investment advice. Why do you not apply for a job in Jim Cramer's show?
1679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2018, 02:06:08 AM
Unless this is a double top, I resign from BTC/USD speculation

At least you didn't sell your doge too soon... or did you?

Speaking in doge, I was thinking about PEPE CASH. Do you think is a good investment? Yes?

Double top? You should know, at this time, that such double tops wont work with the honey badger.
Except the one in 2013?

Most of them won't work. I saw two or three, and they didn't hold.
