No I do not think the bitcoin will ever replace the dollar because the dollar is simply way too big, I even think its the biggest currency alive right now. Due to this fact the bitcoin could never achieve this in my eyes.
You can't say sure, Bitcoin can replace dollar to see the interest of people in it, it is now going to be acceptable worldwide. No one there is its national owner, it is made for online worldwide use and as now the age of Internet is spreading all over the world and all types of transaction are going to be done online, so it will replace. But the fiat maybe remain there in its place. It won't replace dollar, but they can be use at the same time. Since every country have its own currency. And a powerful country won't just change their currency with a decentralized currency, it would take a long time for it,

Fiat is what we need to pay all our bills and other important things with. Bitcoin is great to use as a secondary currency or simply to store money without needing a bank as it allows you to own your money for once.

But if the people of that country chose to use digital currency rather than their national currency, then there's a chance that their national currency get dumped. The government doesn't have a control on what people choose because even if they put a law about this, people can always use VPN and also you are anonymous in bitcoin transactions. Although they might somehow do something crazy to encourage their people to use fiat again like giving some freebies if you use fiat to buy something.

I agree with this, currency of a country is already part of their culture, history and identity. With just an online currency that would be hard for bitcoin to replace dollar, even not just dollar but other currency as well.

Nope. I very doubt government will want to relinquish control... As a sub currency it could gain mainstream use but i think there will be much blood before BTC replace the Dollar. It is true that bitcoin will not replace Dollar but it can bit the Dollar, As bitcoin market value is more and more than Dollar and its is onee kind of currency so it can bit Dollar.

But bitcoin will not replace dollar easily, I'm not sure if it can really replace it since it is a very stable currency of USA and as well as other countries are adopting dollar.

I agree, the dollar has been in existence for may decades, therefore we cannot easily replace that since there are still a lot people who doesn't know how to use computers and if we go full digital they cannot spend, right?

I don't think that Bitcoin will replace dollar. Bitcoin is just too closely tied in with fiat for that to happen.

Yeah! no way it will replace dollar soon, its too early for us to say that because dollar has been in the circulation for many years and the stability is good unlike bitcoins the stability is yet cannot be determined due to the price fluctuations.

No that will not happen soon and that is because you already can see now that there are still a lot of people is still using Dollar as their payment method and that is nice. But you have also to know that there are more people that is going to have some profit with Bitcoin because the value is going to be more worth.

of course yess bitcoin will be 1st cryptocurrency in the world You say crypto. So it not dollar all the way. I agree with the crypto thing but not the worldly physical thing. Bticoin as an online currency and US dollar as a physical currency. That would be real fun.

of course yess bitcoin will be 1st cryptocurrency in the world Yes bitcoin is the most popular crypto currency in the world today, but it is insufficient to replace dollar easily. It needs to have more time to be go through and to prove more about replacing dollar as the most powerful and used currency in the world.

The Bitcoin is never going to replace the Dollar. The USA will never let a other currency take over there currency. It can happen if Amerika wants to take over the Bitcoin but it is not going to happen if the Bitcoin wants to take over the Dollar.

Yes USA wants to control supply of their currency but bitcoin has a limited supply.so even if USA want to use a digital currency for their economy they will create a new one instead of using an existing currency that they can't control.

Bitcoin can never over take dollar, not even in future as dollar is considered to be the king of currency and its not easy for bitcoin to replace strong currency like dollar.

I think bitcoin and the dollar are two different things, possible future uses bitcoin only limited use of credit cards at the moment, but might overpower popularity dollar
