It would be more easy dollar replace bitcoin then the reverse, if USA wanna to buy all bitcoins they are able to make such, sure they cant expose themselfes but they can easy buy all the bitcoins on circulating.
There is no need for them to buy up all coins in existence/circulation. They can just put up rules to make Bitcoin stay where it is right now. That is much cheaper for them and saves them a lot time and effort. Other than that, people should not hope for Bitcoin to replace any kind of fiat currency. Bitcoin should at all times remain an alternative.

No one crypto currency that replace the dollar or even the bitcoin can not replace the dollar. Because dollar is a national currency you can use it to buy anything wherever you are and wherever you go they accept dollar. Bitcoin is you can not use it if you do not convert it into cash.

I do not think that the Bitcoin is ever going to replace the Dollar, Bitcoin does not even have enough physical money in order to do so, it would be a whole process. Many people do not like to go to big changes so it would not really work.
I think bitcoin will not need to go for to be in a physical form as all the world is already going to be in the digital form and all the businesses will be maintained via internet on digital terms and I hope that bitcoin will be the currency for that world.

The most physical form is being connected to something - which is like a debit card. Which is whats been done. So its a matter of bigger events to happen sooner or later like the promising 2-3 years of a ETF to increase buyers.

No I do not think this will ever happen because of the fact that the bitcoin has a very good future but not so good, its still depending on the dollar. I think that the bitcoin can become a lot more than it is now but it will not replace something in my eyes.

You are right, usd cant be replaced by a digital currency and it wont happen for sure even how bitcoin would increase its price in the future. USD is strong and well established for how many years already and its the top currency of all which being used here worldwide.

I don't think bitcoin will replace dollar soon cause bitcoin is too small to be even considered a threat for fiat right now. For bitcoin to threaten dollar there has to be alot more investors and people using bitcoin so it gets bigger and it has to be accepted in every shop for it to be competitive.

I thin that the bitcoin is ever going to replace the Dollar because the Dollar is in my eyes to powerful to be taken over by another currency, it just does not seem right. It would make sense if the Dollar decides to take over the Bitcoin.

of course, i can say yess. if the digital era come, and all people use digital system , and all infrastructur support it, bitcoin have great chance to replace dollar.
Yes but that is not soon at all. At this moment bitcoin couldn't even handle that amount of people I'd say so they would have to work on that. Other problem is bitcoin will never kick usd off it's throne without MAJOR events happening which can support this cause.

Dollar doesnt need to take over bitcoin if bitcoin is not able to take over dollar then that probably means dollar is yet the best which does not need to do anything to become more powerful, and i also feel bitcoin wont be able to do that until it becomes usable in all over the world while dollar has reached that point years ago.

I don't think so dollar is usable all over the world.. every country have his own local/govt currency. this is true that dollar is the most usage currency in the world but in many country you can't use dollar you need to convert it in your local currency to use it. but bitcoin is some how a global currency.. right now it also need to be converted into the fiat to use but bitcoin have the feature to be used in every corner of the world.

Pleas people try your best and think what do you say. When someone says that bitcoin is going to change USD, please explain me how will it happen? Do you really know what is bitcoin and why is made it? It's good alternative of protected and anonymous online payment, which is good for people who needs payment for mostly in illegal things (bitcoin is used both legally and ilegally). It isn't that type of currency that can change paper. Behind bitcoin, there is money, you buy bitcoin with USD and other national currency, you do the same when you sell. Behind dollar there is gold and what is behind bitcoin? Only electricity's high prices which was caused by mining? And also think about that you can earn bitcoin with mining but you can't mine money, only goverment can it and goverment doesn't want to make such thing main currency and it's practically impossible to change usd with bitcoin because usd is behind bitcoin.

Agree. Those 2 depend one on each other and cannot live independently.

I do not think this will happen, it can become very profitable on a long run and it also will be more popular but on the other hand I do not think we have to ask too much from the bitcoin like this.

I do believe that dollar will be replaced but I don't know if that is going to be with bitcoin or any other digital currency. Depending on how the US government is going to implement that. And maybe possible to happen that they are going to develop their own digital currency and that is going to be a digital dollar, I guess. Because the US government is now implementing cashless society.

yeah i think so watch in 4-5 years. Its my prediction. The rate at which bitcoin is gaining popularity dollar may no last longer I do not think that the bitcoin is ever going to take over the Dollar because it seems unlikely so I just do not see it happening. It would make somewhat more sense if it would be the other way around instead.

I think it's really hard for bitcoin to replace dollar because many people around the world still don't know about bitcoin, in the other hand, dollar is really popular and many people know it.

In all sincerity, I don't see bitcoin taking over from dollar not now not in the future the dollar has been so established for centuries that even countries who don't have their currency as dollars would keep their external reserves in dollars without thinking about legaliszing Bitcoin, then I ask myself when is the time Bitcoin will take over or how long will bitcoin stays with us? These are factors and this is in addition to the fact that Bitcoin is even expressed in dollars by most exchange sites to know the real value of the coin.

No, I think bitcoin will not replace dollar soon. Even in 20 years time I think it won't be possible since banks and government won't let it happen that easily. Because of the said reason, There's a chance that bitcoin might not replace dollar as the king of currency. It's possible though that bitcoin will replace dollar but the chance of it happening is low. That being said let's just enjoy the benefits bitcoin has given us and the benefits it continues to give.
