Djokovic played good today but i think Fritz had an amazing chance to maybe win against Djokovic that was really tired from the match against Medvedev. The important thing for Djokovic is that he won in straight sets and now he can rest for the final. I think the trophy is in the bag for Djokovic

Casper ruud had taken a huge lead by breaking two times Rublev serve he will definitly win the first set now i did not expect him to be this dominant especially after being the underdog but i don't think the second set will end like this i think it will be more competitive Rublev has a chance to make a comeback.

it seems that it will end up really fast, Ruud is up two breaks in second set, and does look comfortable to win this easily
looking at Final with Djokovic, Ruud is probably tougher choice for Djokovic than Rublev, but Djokovic should win that one, Ruud chance is in stretching the match into third set, because Novak does not look psychically prepared to play every day

nevertheless, expect an easy win for Novak tomorrow

Djokovic won the straight sets, but those two sets were really hard for him. If he had made small mistake, the match could've moved towards Fritz. This is how the match went, 7⁷-6⁵ 7⁸-6⁶. Much closer win, and the final doesn't look to be fighting one for Djokovic as the match is against Ruud.

@Joca97 in this match Djokovic used all his experience to win, and it was evidently clear that Fritz almost came close to winning this match and I’m sure that his performance against Djokovic will boost his morale for future tournaments. Also while Djokovic looks set to win this tournament I feel that player’s are stepping up to him, and sooner or later he’ll be beaten as other player’s are no longer afraid when they face him these day’s.

I have lost most of my bets that included Rudd this season. I just don't see what he has in his game to get the results he is getting other than better mental state then most of his opponents. But no matter how good he is in the head, Djoković is the absolute champion of mind games. I really don't see how Ruud can win tonight but he will probably find a way to do it and kill my extra high stake bet where I am waiting only for Djoković.

He already looked unwell against Medvedev, Likewise, when played against Fritz looked so tired, but wasn't sure what he was going through.
He was already leading in the second set there was no doubt he would win this match and lift the trophy to close the year very weill.

Well whatever was wrong it didn't have too much of an affect on him at all, he win that
second set quite easy really. The only player who can seriously challenge him was
Medvedev, he was the only one who took a set from him!

I don't think I'll be backing Ruud in the near future, as Trofo suggests it's hard to see anything
extraordinary in his game.

Like i said yesterday this would be the easiest match for Novak Djokovic and it was. He won easily in straight sets against Ruud that wasnt even close to a break point in this match. Ruud still was in the final and that is a huge result. Novak Djokovic can now rest up and focus on Australian open that is in over 1 month.

It was a very difficult year for Novak Djokovic. But in the final against Ruud he showed his best tennis and it was like a message to his competitors. He was well focused and physically fit. His serve, his forehand, everything was perfect. He had to wait 7 years for his world title Number 6. And that at the age of 35.

Ruud has never won against Djokovic, and Djokovic knowing that entering the game already had the mental advantage over Ruud.
