On the Barcelona Open it is Musetti vs Tsitsipas and Alcaraz vs Evans in the semifinals after the walkover of Sinner from the match against Musetti. It looks like the finals to be played between Alcaraz vs Tsitsipas.
Now Musetti is facing Tsitsipas and has entered the third set, but at this time Tsitsipas is 3-0 up, he is more experienced on clay which is why several times he has been able to turn things around which are actually more profitable for Musetti. The first set Musetti had a chance to get him but it's a shame he couldn't finish well but he was lucky enough in the second but the third set looked to be Tsitsipas's and into the final.

Waiting for what will happen in the second semifinal later, but pretty sure Alcaraz will be a easier to overcome Evans and most likely the final will face Tsitsipas vs Alcaraz, this is the ideal final even though I hope Musetti will go to the final because his performance has been quite impressive since Monte Carlo, but it looks like that's not going to happen.

Lorenzo Musetti - Stefanos Tsitsipas

Tsitsipas managed to win that game, he doesn't watch the game but according to the journalist's comments on the news it was a slightly complicated game in which Musetti could have even left this game with a very different story, and from what I could hear this is the third time that Tsitsipas reaches a final of the ATP 500 in Barcelona, and in two finals he was unlucky to lose in the game against Rafael Nadal, but the funniest part is that this is the fourth time that Lorenzo Musetti loses to Tsitsipas now Tsitsipas will have to wait for the result of the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniel Evans

and looking at the game between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniel Evans, everything indicates that Carlos Alcaraz will have a very comfortable victory, not least because Carlos Alcaraz is number 2 in the ATP ranking and eliminated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, while Daniel Evans occupies position number 26 in the ATP ranking, although Daniel Evans has performed well in this tournament, I don't think he is a big obstacle for Carlos Alcaraz, that's why I see Carlos Alcaraz winning this game and will play in the final against Tsitsipas and in my opinion Tsitsipas will beat Tsitsipas

There might have been a small injury for Djokovic but i dont think that effected much his bad play. He lost to some weak opponents in last few losses. He is one of the favorites to win the french open but with this form he wont even make it to the quarter-finals. Still a few tournaments to prepare himself to attack the french open. He needs to find rythm and fast

Yes, it has become known that Djokovic has an injury and has therefore not been able to show his good game. If you do have an injury, it is better to be right now than in a few months when the French open will start of course. Where Djokovic will not start this tournament as a favorite. Alcaraz also made quite an impression in his match yesterday. Van de Zandschulp is currently having a strong period on his gravel surface, which is normally not his strongest surface. He beat Taylor Fritz in 2 sets, think both players are about equally good, but Fritz is a few places higher in the ranking. Tomorrow he will play against Rune, a Danish mega talent, who is also placed first in this tournament in the final.

I can assure you 100% that Rafa is going to play at RG. In fact, if he wasn't going to play, he'd announce the retirement already. RG has always been the perfect tournament for him and he's going to try to win it for one last time, no doubt about that. He's even missing his beloved clay tournament series, just for a glimpse of hope to play RG.

Musetti played well and won the second set, however the third set looked to be an easy win for Tsitsipas and he made his entry to the finals. After his Australian Open finals against Djokovic now he had entered the finals against Alcaraz

On the other match Alcaraz won it on direct set against Evans without much difficulty 6-2 6-2. Now the finals have turned more interesting ad both the players are at good form. Alcaraz will try to lift the trophy with the winning form of Indian Wells.final against Medvedev.

I hope that Alcaraz stays healthy now for a very long time. I wish we can have another superstar on the rise. That is what makes sports so interesting to watch. In Formula 1 it once was Michael Schumacher who made the sport interesting to me because I always wanted to know whether now there is somebody who can stop him. Injuries destroy the competition when it happens to younger players with amazing talent. I am not so much talking about the older generation because that is normal, although I would love to see a Djokovic in perfect shape against an Alcaraz in perfect shape at all four GS tournaments within one year. Those two players against each other at their peak, but I doubt that we will really get the possibility to observe such a head to head anymore.

The older generation were always the legends. To reach them the young generation have to go long. Beyond certain age it is really hard to progress amidst the body condition and the young ones who are at the verge of dominance. Even now when Alcaraz and Djokovic plays the game, maybe the mind favours Alcaraz but we tend to watch the performance and style of Djokovic more than Alcaraz. This is how we've grown up. To stay healthy is a must with every sport, because the time gap makes it long to get recovered and back to the form. Anyhow upcoming final seems to be more enjoyable same as the legends played in the past.

Every sport has his stars and maybe every decade there is absolute superstar that really dominates the field and that people will still talk about even if it is years ago. Tennis has had the luck that they 3 absolute superstars at the same time who stayed in good condition throughout the years. Alcaraz is one of the young stars in tennis right now, but only the future will tell if he can become a legend.

Of course we agree that for Nadal the most important tournament in his career is the French Open and that he wants to win it again, but even he can't go against his age and physical limitations.
Nothing in life is 100% certain, not even the fact that Nadal will play at the French Open. Of course he will do everything he can to perform, but the fact is that he is getting older and has more and more problems with injuries.
Considering the current problems of Djokovic and Nadal with injuries for me, and I believe many other tennis fans, Alcaraz is the favorite in this tournament.

Every sport has his stars and maybe every decade there is absolute superstar that really dominates the field and that people will still talk about even if it is years ago. Tennis has had the luck that they 3 absolute superstars at the same time who stayed in good condition throughout the years. Alcaraz is one of the young stars in tennis right now, but only the future will tell if he can become a legend.

and Alcaraz v Tsitsipas should be a very interesting matchup, cant believe Tsitsipas has
made it to the final.

and Rublev v Lajovic is looking like a 3 setter, would love to see Rublev winning again
but I imagine the odds on Lajovic had great odds.

Alcaraz - I think Tstitsipas is a match that Alcaraz will easily win. Difference in level is significant between these 2 players. Alcaraz is the absolute world top and the Greek is just below that. On a good day from Tsitsipas he can give Alcaraz a hard time, but I honestly don't know the stats either. Alcaraz is really good on Gravel, maybe he will be as good as Nadal in his prime. Would we get someone who will win as much in Paris as Nadal? That is probably the gravel king for centuries.

I really give Tsitsipas chances, he has been stable among the best 5 in the world for a while, right? Botic van de Zandschulp is also going through a great phase in his career at the moment. He has reached a final for the 2nd time and the question is whether he can beat Holger Rune. I think it's going to be a tough story because Rune has arguably had better results lately. Much is being written about Nadal, but when will the moment finally come when we will see him on the tennis court again? Everyone is eagerly looking forward to that, of course.

Van de Zandschulp is a good player, many players want to train with him because he has one of the hardest strokes in the world. Djokovic is known for also enjoying training with him. I sometimes wonder how world top players train, you want to train with someone of your own level, but you don't want to share your own weapons with other players and you don't want to reveal them either. A tennis coach sees many things, but you also want to play rallies with players. I don't see Djokovic and Nadal training together anytime soon. I know that Sampras and Agassi used to do it sometimes, but they often faced each other in the finals every month.

It looks like the world top once again wins a title as Alcaraz leads 1-0 after the first set(6-3). A comeback win is a must to keep the winning probability good for Tsitsipas. Alcaraz is really good at the ground and earlier he had revealed how much he had wished to play in the Pista Rafa Nadal Court, "I always wished to play in the Rafa Nadal court, against the best players of the world, I told myself one day I'll play there" - Carlos Alcaraz

A brief overview of today's finals:

Lajovic v Rublev
6:3, 4:6, 6:4

Rune v v.d.Zandschulp
6:4, 1:6, 7:6

Alcaraz v Tsitsipas
6:3, 6:4

Alcaraz v Tsitsipas was the shortest and least interesting final. Carlitos was simply too good, Tsitsipas didn't stand a chance. I think he won several games just with dropshot winners!  Grin

Lajovic v Rublev is a bit unexpected, but Lajovic beating Nole was quite unexpected too and I guess Lajovic deserved it.

Botic van de Zandschulp was unfortunately unable to give his final place a good follow-up. He lost his final to the dane Rune in a dramatic way. He got 4 game points on his own serve, but was unable to keep that and lost in the tie beak. Anyway, that's also the reason he's not in the top 10 in the world. Otherwise you should just serve a match professionally that way, of course. A big downer. Meanwhile, Alcaraz just rumbles on like a locomotive..

Lajovic beating Rublev was the biggest news of finals day! Its actually nice to see a
player back up their win from top seeded players and go as far as he did. All too
often we see a lower ranked player beating a top seed and in the following match
to get beaten, maybe thats the mentality side of Tennis, the belief!

Rune to beat van de Zandschulp was to be expected as was Alcaraz to beat Tsitsipas.

Lajovic struggled against Kecmanović to win the semifinals. Rublev had an easy win against Molcan 6-2 6-4.
In the finals it was expected to be Rublev, but Lajovic is with good confidence after the win against Djokovic.
A comfortable final match win for Lajovic 6-3 4-6 6-4. The win of Djokovic is now with another Serbian player.
Rublev had a fight back win after the first set win from Lajovic, but he wasn't able to make the winning continue.
It is common thing to see unexpected winning moments and these days more matches have got similar results.
