Westbrook only get less ball time because Bron do the most on this match. I believe Lebron is starting to step up now again for his team since people already doubting his ability due to there lose streak while his team sometimes won without him. Spurs is not that strong team but they still manage to fight Lakers on this high score match despite Lakers has veterans star while Spurs is just composed with bunch of rookies and mid range stats players.

Lakers needs to thanks Spurs because without them, they will not gonna get there 3 wins out of there current 7 wins.  Cheesy

Maybe LeBron is starting to get back into the game, 39+11 is a great result, but you're right, the Spurs aren't strong enough to get 138 points against the Lakers. However, their streak has already reached 8 defeats in a row, so a win with team like this is not a very big reason for joy. And by the way, Utah in a very difficult game lost only one point to Phoenix away, and this is Utah's fourth defeat in a row, it's a bit unexpected to see such a series in Utah, after such a good start.

We need to see the consistency, actually, he can make that production if he really wants to, he is the captain ball so he has the freedom to shoot the ball all night. The problem is, if he contribute huge, can he make sure that it will still make the team do their job, because if that would result to struggling of his teammates, he is not an effective leader.

What happen to everyone touches the ball?

Alperen Şengün's performance in Houston is mesmerizing. He had a nearly triple-double with 21 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists, setting a career high rebound record. Together with Jalen Green, they led their team to victory. Houston has a promising roster, I can't understand why they're last in the West. The starting five in particular are not bad at all, but the bench rotation seems a bit lacking. They may be aiming to play in the lottery this season and get a good draft order. They also need to give good signals for next season. If Alperen or the other top 5 players are traded, we can talk about different things. They have a very young team apart from Eric Gordon. Maybe if there are 2 more veterans, the atmosphere of the team will change, it will become more balanced. There's a college team vibe right now. Good players, but lacking in experience.

My picks for NBA games tomorrow,

Brooklyn Nets -7
Portland Trail Blazers +7

Right now Yuta Watanabe, can not play for the Nets, Alondes Williams, and T.J. Warren are questionable for the Nets, Gary Payton II, Damian Lillard, and Keon Johnson, can not play Portland Trail Blazers, while Justise Winslow, and Drew Eubanks, is questionable if they can win, for this game I will be going with the Brooklyn Nets,

Minnesota Timberwolves +1.5
Golden State Warriors - 1.5

Right now Jordan McLaughlin and Taurean Prince can not play for the Timberwolves, and right now I am going with the Warriors this could be a sure win for them, now that the Warriors are getting their Rhythm in winning,

Boston Celtics -7
Washington Wizards +7

Right now the Duo of the Celtics is getting pretty much amazing, right now and it is not stopping somehow, while the Wizards have Delon Wright, who can not play while Monte Morris, Rui Hachimura, and Johnny Davis are questionable if they can play, for me, I think the Boston can still win this,

Orlando Magic -2.5
Philadelphia 76ers +2.5

Right now pretty much an opportunity for the 76ers if those questions can not play then this will be an easy game for the 76ers, but if not then pretty much for sure if Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, and James Harden can not play and only available Joel Embiid is questionable, I will be going with the Magic

Milwaukee Bucks -6
Dallas Mavericks +6

Right now because the Dallas Mavericks have recently lost to the Raptors, this could be a pretty much hard match for them with Luka Doncic, for me the Bucks will win this,

Lots of picks @owengtam09...

If you'll hit them all, you'll be so lucky, so might as well ride it with a parlay.

By the way, you choose all the favorites, so it looks easy.
For me, I would just follow some of your picks because I believe they'll hit.

I have the following.

1-Boston -7
2-Bucks -6

Agree with your pick mate, Boston and Bucks are the most consistent team so far. The number 1 and number 2 in the East have a record of 15-4 and 13-5 record respectively. The spread is high, so I have more confidence that they'll cover the spread. In terms of covering the spread, both teams are on an acceptable level. We have Boston who are 57.9% and Bucks 61.1%.

Now here are my picks for tomorrow's game, I will for with the favorite parley,

Brooklyn Nets VS Portland Trail Blazers

The stake odds for this game are 1.39 for the Nets and 3.15 for the Blazers, right now Yuta Watanabe is sure can not play for the Nets, while Keon Johnson, Damian Lillard, and Gary Payton II are the ones that can not play for the Trail Blazers, for this game I tend to go for the Nets to win this one,

Minnesota Timberwolves VS Golden State Warriors

The stake odds for this game are 2.06 for the Timberwolves and 1.80 for the Warriors, right now Jordan McLaughlin and Taurean Prince can not play for the Timberwolves, while Andre Iguodala is the only injury the Warriors have, this is a great time for the Warriors, to show the Timberwolves what they got, so for me, the Golden State Warriors will win this,

Los Angeles Clippers VS Indiana Pacers

The stake odds for this game are 2.03 for the Clippers and 1.82 for the Pacers, Right now all 3 all-stars of the Clippers are questionable if they can play while Daniel Theis can not play for the Indiana Pacers, for this game, right now because of Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin these two are incredibly breaking out from their shell and performing so much, for the Pacers, so I will be going with the Pacers,

Milwaukee Bucks VS Dallas Mavericks

The stake odds for this game are 1.40 for the Bucks and 3.05 for the Mavericks Because of the loss of the Mavericks on the Raptors the odds are not looking good for them and because they have the Bucks as their opponent now, for me this is no question will be going with the Bucks unless Luka Doncic, will see this match as personal,

Seeing LeBron put up big numbers while the Lakers are getting wins isn’t a huge surprise. I was thrilled to see his leadership return to the court also. Those clips of Russell Westbrook’s forehead gushing blood while LeBron chases him around holding a towel to his head say a lot. LeBron seems to be a genuinely caring teammate and maybe this will be the beginning of something for them. I wonder how long AD will be out after slipping while trying to help LeBron get up after a fall…

Lots of LeBron talk as he’s back in the rotation for the Lakers and helped them get a win yesterday. They’ve got a rematch again today against the San Antonio Spurs, so hopefully we see more domination from Anthony Davis and LeBron is able to play in the back to back. They’re slowly starting to show some life, but I think that team has a lot of issues that will keep them from postseason success.

Anthony Davis wasn't around on their game earlier for their 2nd encounter with the Spurs on a back-to-back game but Lebron made it happen with of course the help of his teammates. Yes, I definitely agree that they are slowly showing some positive signs on their line-up, may it the 2nd squad or the main five, they can now put a good fight. As of now, they still have a long way to go before we can even speculate about their situation post season but I think their chance is quite better now as long as the main guys won't have any serious injury that will definitely keep them from that success.

[The referee shouldn't gave him the technical, and I do agree that it was a deliberate elbow on the face of Westbrook that's why he has so much blood. Remember the days? "no blood, no foul" mentally?
That was the early 80's rule. Grin The Pistons rule.
Deliberate or not, an official should expect the emotion that will come out from the person who got hurt. That should be normal just like how it happened with Stewart when Lebron made him bleed.
I mean, I have been playing in my younger years and if you feel like the contact was too much then you react, confront him, and make him answer why.
Refs today should have knowledge about that.

And you can see Lebron's leadership on that incident, he put a towel on Westbrook and probably saying that he needs to take it easy as he will carry the team for him and take the win. That's what James literally did with his 39 big points. Although there could be an argument that they have face a weak or lower team.
I love what Lebron did on the spot. He didn't go for a fight but instead took care of his teammate. Calmed Westbrook down using his magical words and then got a towel to stop the bleeding. Some players will attack and join but what he did is a veteran move. Father time is really taking over.  Grin

It was the king's comeback for the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James showed his difference in his second away game against the San Antonio Spurs. He finished the game with 39 points and 11 rebounds. This time, Anthony Davis did not play in this match, but Dennis Schoreder made a significant contribution to the team. All is well with the Los Angeles Lakers for now. He will now play both games in Los Angeles.
Lebron won't be enough, we all know that. But with Schroder, it is enough to win a game as long as he will have the best night of his life.
This is the Schroder that I have seen in the Eurobasket just months ago. The Lakers team might not be his countrymen, or he is not fighting for his country, but the honor is there. If he plays well, his countrymen are rejoicing about his success.
I cannot wait to see how much chemistry they can create when AD is back. With Schroder backing up the bench team, they won't have to worry whenever they need a rest.

Curry scored 33 points and helped the Warriors beat Utah at home, Wiggins and Thompson also showed a good game and scored 20 points. Steve Kerr talks about a turning point in the results for the team, as far as home matches, I agree with him, but for the away games it's not so positive so far. But the team is moving up and the Warriors seem to be feeling more confident.

And Sacramento, after a series of wins, suffers the second defeat in a row, this time they lost to Boston, which is now very good.
Jazz played well in the last game. Almost all the players had a good well-rounded game. But the problem is Stephen Curry carried his team on his back. Of course, he had help from the other players. But eventually, we have to say it was he who actually got the win for his team. The warrior seems to be getting better currently. And they will have to get better otherwise, they are not going to be able to get to the top.
We need to realize they have plenty of other good players now as well. Back in the day it was just curry-klay-draymond that carried the team and the other players could change, iggy and shaun livingston played a great role as well but wasn't the key factor if you ask me (how iggy got fmvp is still beyond me).

However, these days they added poole and wiggins which are at a much higher level and they so much, Curry is playing like it's one of his best seasons ever even at his older age, and we are seeing the team growing so much together. I am guessing that it's not going to be easy but they do have a chance to win the title again if they get better on defence.

But still the same formula though, big 3 + good to decent role players, now we have Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins.

Let me just add though that Jordan Poole has been criticized lately in the media as his game is somewhat going down specially with those "carry the ball" recently. But I disagree though, Poole just had a good game last night and this might be start of his game again. Similar to Klay who had some rough start, but was able to get over in their last 4 games or so. And for the first time they are .500 team again.

Exactly. Poole was under heavy criticism for his poor performance lately but I do think and believe that he is way better than that, he don't owe anyone an explanation because he already proved his utility last season when he suddenly rose up and earn a spot to be in the starting five who just started from the bench last season too. He is more of a clutch player to me and I think his performance will keep up if the games is more intense and tougher.

Westbrook was bloody, never seen him in this incident before, but the good thing is that the Lakers still won and Westbrook is okay now. It was indeed a high scoring game, but unfortunately, Westbrook unable to use that advantage because he only score 11 points.

Cheesy

haha, you seemed right because they have 3 games with the Spurs and they won all those games. I'm still not convinced that the Lakers have already improved or have adjusted well. Lakers next game is against the Pacers, I think they can handle this team and they'll continue winning.

Pacers will be a test for them. Pacers is currently #4 at the East with a decent defense rating. The Lakers will at least experience some resistance against the Pacers. If they can defeat this team, the Lakers can prove they at least have something going on that can compete against stronger team. The Lakers amass some wins lately because they are against weaker and bottom teams.  The Pacers are the first strong team they are against after they started winning and with Lebron in the roster. We will see how they will fair. They have a day's rest so they should be able to play with full power. While the Pacers will be on a back-to-back game.

And by the way, Utah in a very difficult game lost only one point to Phoenix away, and this is Utah's fourth defeat in a row, it's a bit unexpected to see such a series in Utah, after such a good start.

They have a series of people in injury list so maybe that is the reason they are in a losing streak. They are unmanned on a rebuilding process, so it is understandable that they will lose. Maybe when all the players are back from injuries, they can continue their streak.

Stephen Curry has been unstoppable this season. His performance was obviously one of the best ever. And it is also true that his team is being benefited from his performance a lot. Without Stephen Curry, I don’t think there was any chance for them to get this kind of results what they are getting. I know it’s always the team performance that wins the match, but in the end, solo plays like Stephen Curry's has to be appreciated.

But still the same formula though, big 3 + good to decent role players, now we have Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins.

Poole just needs a little time. He will be able to perform better. No need to criticize him so much. And if a player is going through a rough patch, criticizing him is not going to help. Because the one thing that has always worked for players is motivation, not criticism.

~snip~
You are right, defense is the key to warriors' success. Just like last year, they should have a good defensive man on the floor. They are overpowered in offense especially when 3's are going in. Between Curry, Klay, and Poole, they are already an offensive powerhouse. They needed someone that could replace what GP2 have done to them last year. I do not know in the current roster who can take that place, but Kerr should train one or acquire one.
I also agree with this. The Warriors have really good attacking power. They just have to start playing well on the defensive side of things. I think they should get a player who will be able to give them the defensive stability that they need. It will take a long time to train one. By the time they train a player to be like that, probably the roster is going to change a lot by then.

I follow Rockets closely for a couple of season and I also think they might be getting intentionally bad scores for the lottery. Because there were some games that they could win but coach's decision affected the game in order for them to lose, I think. They must be aiming for a great team for around 2025 or 2026, we might see them in the conference final or the finals. As you mentioned, Jalen Green is doing splendidly and has a huge potential. Other young players as well. Also, about Alperen Sengun, I saw a stat today:

Youngest players to reveal this stat order in a match:

20 points/point
15 rebounds
5 assists
2 blocks
2 steals/steal

LeBron James (20 years, 105 days)  ➥ April 14, 2005

Alperen Sengun (20 years, 124 days) ➥ 26 November 2022

Even though Rockets are losing generally, Alperen Sengun is doing great for a 20 years old. His stats this season: 15.2 PPG, 9.1 RPG. Really not bad for a young kid who is a center. His passing ability is also great.

Lakers have started to improve their stats recently. They won four of their last five games. Last night they played against Spurs and won by 143-138. This was another game in which Lebron showed a great performance - 39 points, 11 rebounds. It was a game Lebron tried to carry again and things weren't going very well for them mostly in such cases. But they managed to win this one.

Westbrook wasn't in the forefront much but I remember a time he had a problem with Collins. Collins made a foul and Westbrook's face was suddenly covered with blood. There was a high tension after that between these players. Apart from that I remember a time he made a nice alley-oop with Lebron. Maybe this might be a proof that they are getting along these days.

Alperen Şengün was really good in the last match. One of the most impressive performances I have ever seen from him.
Before this game, his performance was not that remarkable, to be honest. He was good, but not mesmerizing. And the good thing is, he had help from his teammates as well. This team can play very well when it just clicks for them. This team has a lot of potential, but I agree with you that this team is quite inexperienced. With a little more experience, they will be able to achieve good things. I am really interested to see what they will be able to do in the next season. We will be able to understand what promises are worth then.

They almost lead the whole game, but the Spurs didn't give up, it was just a 5 point win for them. Stat line for James really look impressive as if we are seeing a still prime Lebron in Cleveland with those number.

But he has do it since Davis set out in this game. But it turns out to be a blessing for the team as we have seen Lebron again at his best to carry the Lakers in his shoulder with a good numbers.

Westbrook wasn't in the forefront much but I remember a time he had a problem with Collins. Collins made a foul and Westbrook's face was suddenly covered with blood. Yes, elbows in the face of Russ from Collins, but they call a technical foul of Russ for over-reacting. But I guess that is just normal reaction if someone is trying to hurt you in the game. Was good that Pat Bev is already suspended, if not this could very well escalated again.

It's because the Rockets has laden with a lot of rookies/sophomore like Jalen Green who are taking the limelight.

And so Sengun is force to be in the back seat most of the time, however, when you are talented, sooner or later you will have a break out game like he did and his numbers as comparable to Lebron. It doesn't mean though that he will be like James in the future, but definitely there is a potential for him. The Rockets team will just have to find a way to give him more minutes and exposure and obviously they have to keep on winning, otherwise this players talent are going to be wasted or maybe when they are traded or move to other teams, we will the talent.
